WARNING: THIS THREAD CONTAINS MOVIE SPOILERS The Official Noah Thread.

Questions: Similar to Rose, or a different character entirely? Is it fair how Noah and the other gypsies are treated? If you had the power to read minds, how would you use it? Why does Noah want to find a home so badly? How do you think Noah changed at the end of the movie?

Similar to Rose, or a different character entirely? They've got similarities. They're not the same character by any means, but they are similar. After all, you've got to admit the hair style and face are almost exact (except for color), they both appear to like Ed at least a little, both of them are outcasts by the dominant society (a gypsy in Germany's eyes, a Lioran in Amestris' eyes)... yeah. Is it fair how Noah and the other gypsies are treated? Nope, but unfortunately, that's how society works. Humans don't understand other types of people. Humans are afraid of things they don't understand. Humans attempt to destroy what they are afraid of. It's not right, but it happens with every type of difference, whether it be skin color, other racial stuffs, or even mindset (for example, humans are really nasty to the autism spectrals among them). If you had the power to read minds, how would you use it? Hmm... selfish reason, but I'd use it to find out why the beep a certain girl who I had never wanted to see ever again EVER insisted on transferring to my current school this year when she still seems so attatched to our previous one. (I won't name names; that would be rude.) Why does Noah want to find a home so badly? Doesn't everyone want somewhere where they can feel at home and accepted? How do you think Noah changed at the end of the movie? I think I missed that little epiphany of hers that you imply is there. I don't really see much of a change... after all, she was always friendly with Edward and Heidrich, and Al is Ed's brother... now Alter!Hughes... now there's a man who changed dramatically. But this is the wrong thread for that.

Similar to Rose, or a different character entirely?: Personally, I think that she is Rose's counterpart. Here are some of the similarities I found: They both like Ed, have a similar appearance, and are outcasts. Is if fair how Noah and the other gypsies are treated?: Definately not. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly, but unfortunately our world doesn't work that way so some people are shunned. If you had the power to read minds, how would you use it?: Wow, that would be powerful. I would probably use it to find the truth in what others say if not for my own personal wishes. twisted Why does Noah want to find a home so badly?: She wants to find somewhere where she can belong - pretty much what everyone wants. How do you think Noah changed at the end of the movie?: What I meant, Bridgit, is that if you saw any change between her through out the movie you put your thoughts here. In my opinion, I think that she became satisfied in the end with who she was.

1. Very similar to Rose.... 2. I don't think it's fair the way gypsies are treated, I don't think it's right to treat any human being like that. But unfortunely human beings are stupid and always mistreat each other despite the commandment "Treat others the way you would like to be treated.... 3. I would mess with peoples minds especially jerks I hate...... twisted guess that makes me a hyprocrite. xp 4. Noa just wants to find a place where she's loved and belongs. 5. She didn't really change she was always nice she just seems a little happier with Ed & Al.

Similar to Rose, or a different character entirely? Very close, but not the same. Is it fair how Noah and the other gypsies are treated? No way! As an outcast myself (and Starr and IG can back me up on this) everyone hates me. I know how it feels. It sucks. If you had the power to read minds, how would you use it? Mindraping people Seeing what pople really think. They say it, but do they mean it? Why does Noah want to find a home so badly? So she can belong and not be an outcast anymore. How do you think Noah changed at the end of the movie? She became a woman and started her period Uhm... she's now going to be happier because someone loves her!
Until, of course, the fangirls steal that someone back.
I can't read a movie thread without getting Springtime for Hitler stuck in my head. I know, I'm evil.

Similar to Rose, or a different character entirely? She's sort of similar to Rose, but not really. I really don't like Noah, but I thought Rose was cool. Noah like completely backstabbed Ed just to get what she wanted and I can't really see Rose doing that. Is it fair how Noah and the other gypsies are treated? No, but the Jews, Blacks, and many other cultures suffered the same (if not much worse) pursecution. Noah should just deal with it. (You can tell I really don't like her) If you had the power to read minds, how would you use it? I (unlike her) would NOT backstab Ed, and use it for good, not evil, unlike SOME people. Yeah, better believe it. Why does Noah want to find a home so badly? Well, it's probably because all of her friends just kind of betrayed her and one of they're morals was that they're all human in the end, but still they sold her to the evil people we all hate. She was kind of confuzed and just needed a place to belong, I think. But backstabbing Ed was NOT the way to do it. stare How do you think Noah changed at the end of the movie? I think she realized that Alfons gave is life for Ed just to return him to his own world so he could be happy (which was completely pointless since he came back, but beside the point) and she saw that it isn't about what every person wants for themselves, but that you have to care about other people, or you'll never be cared about.
Wow... that was long. O.o exclaim xd

What a nice little rant. xd I can see where you're coming from though, Noah did use Ed for her own benefit. But it didn't work out in the end like she thought.

I'm so glad you enjoyed.
But she didn't even get what she deserved. Like bunches of other people died, and it was practacally her fault. And Al felt all guilty-ness.
Poor Al.
(I swear, if she died, I would have been all "hooray!")

... I don't like Noah.
Similar to Rose, or a different character entirely? Very similar. However, I prefer Rose. Rose isn't a mary-sue backstabber. >_>
Is it fair how Noah and the other gypsies are treated? Not at all, but that's life. Unfortunately... However, many other cultures and races suffer even worse, she best get over herself. It's not all about her.
If you had the power to read minds, how would you use it? It would give me a reason to mindrape read Edo's mind.
If that doesn't work, I'd use it to help people who are in need.
Or make a few bucks off of it.
Why does Noah want to find a home so badly? She was an outcast. D: Everyone needs a home!
How do you think Noah changed at the end of the movie? At the movie, there was hope for her to be a good character. By the end she was a total cannon-sue that needed to go die. D:<

Similar to Rose, or a different character entirely? - i think she's different, but in a way they both want something they can't have, right?
Is it fair how Noah and the other gypsies are treated? it depends. we've spoken about gypies in italain class. they aren't legal in any country, they don't bath, they drug their kids to get pity and money, they really do steal, and nobody knows what to do with them. European Gov'ts have tried to help the start a life like ours, but they keep going on like this. I don't know if they deserve this, but at the same time, do they want it or care?
If you had the power to read minds, how would you use it? totally, my curiosity gets the better of me
Why does Noah want to find a home so badly?- b/c she's different than her fellow gypsies
How do you think Noah changed at the end of the movie?- i think a bit

Similar to Rose, or a different character entirely? There are similarities, but they are different in ways as well. Is it fair how Noah and the other gypsies are treated? Nope. If you had the power to read minds, how would you use it? Maaaaaaaybe. Why does Noah want to find a home so badly? Well, she wants to belong. It's only human. How do you think Noah changed at the end of the movie? I don't know.. when I first saw her, I thought she was pretty cool, but as the movie went on I just disliked her more and more. I agree with Petite Parfait.

I hate Noah.
Similar to Rose, or a different character entirely? Sort of the same, but Rose is cooler, and Noah is a freaking annoying retard. Is it fair how Noah and the other gypsies are treated? Not for regular gypsies, but for Noah, it kinda is... If you had the power to read minds, how would you use it? Hmmm... Let me get back to you on that one, still trying to figure it out for myself... Why does Noah want to find a home so badly? Because everyone hates her in this one. 'Everyone' including me. How do you think Noah changed at the end of the movie? ...She got just like a jiffy bit better. Grrr... I hate her... Can't explain why right now...
