I totally agree with you about Anzu. I have no problem with someone disliking her, but it seems like people just dislike her for no reason, and if they do have a reason it's a rather bad one. You could try to debate with them about it or whatever and they'd just keep saying the same thing over and over, because there's nothing more to their dislike than that. Kind of bugs me.
And Yami no Yuugi has friendship/heart of the card rants, too. :0

My least favorite was Vivian Wong. I'm still not sure how she managed to get invited to Grande prix she was such an awful duelist. And she was a canon Mary-sue, and she flirted with Sugoroku, which was disgusting(Even if it was just to get to Yuugi, so gross ><).

Tea/Anzu. I don't like her that much. I like her more than I used to, but she just kind of ... yeah. It's not even about the speeches or any of that anymore. Her character just doesn't -click- with me. Sure, she's the "glue" that holds them all together and blah. D; The -click-ing just doesn't commence with us.

I dissagree. Yuugi's the glue that holds everyone together. When Anzu goes off to America, they'll all be fine. Hell, they'll likely keep up via email and stuff as long as she was willing.
But if Yuugi left, the little band would probably just fall apart. I mean, Honda and Jounouchi would probably still be friends, but her?


As for least favorite.... I dislike Anzu, as a character and a person. It has nothing to do with a love triangle with Yuugi and Yami/Atemu. It has nothing to do with 'friendship speaches' either.

She's way too much of a damsel in distress. This annoys me in a character. All of the others can hold thier own in some way or other. Even Shizuka has done better then her (and I'm not especially fond of SHizuka either- she's just bland. She exists to make Jou look good. Not a good reason for a character to be there.)

She uses her friends (anyone remember the disasterous date with Yuugi?) fangirls over Atemu and seems to be the one character that never understands any of her friends, despite her preachings.
(This one comes up a lot.... from when friends duel to ATemu leaving.)


Also, I seem to remember Honda having quite some depth to his character, at least in the beggining of the manga. He was the steady one (another who helped bind them together) and I always feel the need to defend him. Most people don't like him because he's "not bishounen enough."
I like Honda, heh.


Another character I don't like is Yami Bakura. And I don't think its the characters fault, either.... someone who was obsessed with him ruined the character for me. x.x; Also, he's not a character I can respect, heh. ^^;
On the other hand, I've read versions of him in fanfictions I liked.


Oh, that reminds me of another thing- character bashing. Can't stand it.

I dislike Anzu too, but if you have to rape her personality to make fun of her, then you should probably rethink your reasons for hating her.
Keep them in character, even, no, especially when you bash them.

here's an weird response, i really don't like sigfreid! (ya know the guy with the pink hair in grand prix) he's such a flamer! i don't like him because he goes after kaiba and i really hate his clothes, they're WAY too frilly! but he's fun to laugh at and make fun of so i don't hate him as much as i hate anzu, but i still hate him...

My lest favorit character has to be Tea/Anzu I can't stand her at all with talking about friednship all the time hate that. I found a writer on fanfiction that hates her too in her Yugioh stories she kills Anzu/Tea off.
