did you ever decide NOT to go to a party and ahve it really pay of, even if it means you wasted money on the ticket?
I certainly did
I was suppsoed to go to Scream (of coarse a halloween rave) and it was at some hall downtown, it took me nearly an hour and a half to find the palce because the roads were so bad, and when we get there the line up was retarded, so we decided not to bother.
2 days alter we hear someone got ststabbed about an hour after we would got there that it was like... a 90 minute lineup, and in turn we would froze our asses off for nothing and have to deal with a bunch of pigs.
so being lazy paid off

WOW. yeah, ive lucked out by not deciding to go to events before but not like that. Then again, sometimes u have to go through a lot of trouble for good stuff. This year i waited 1 hr in a line to get to see LTJ Bukem and there was no room inside the place and the AC broke so it was stanky and steamy but it was really ******** worth it. That was the best party of my life so far.

You lucked out! A lot! I remember that party that I was supposed to go... Six months later, I see those warning flyers passing in parties. It seems like someone at the party had tuberculosis and passed it on like a douche. I was SO happy that I didn't go.

I almost went to a show last summer I think, that I didn't go to because I was busy studying and it seemed like a long drive at the time (to Boston, by myself). Found out from my friends who went it wasn't worth it at all, not only did the venue overcharge beyond the tickets, some new "cover" deal, but the opening band (that I wanted to see) was so smashed they couldn't sing. And the main band only played for 30 minutes. All over, I saved gas money, a possible accident, my hearing, and my final exam grades.

I have bad luck with parties sad
I was supposed to go to a party that White Linen went to (also called Scream), but I didn't go... mixed reviews, but Neophyte played Braincrackin crying
Then I went to see umms... Luna C at a party called Knight in Paradise... I was sick when I got there, and had to leave cause I got even sicker drinking... turns out I was good for leaving, cause they forgot to pick Luna C up from the airport.
Then my social phobia prevented me from going to see Hybrid, I was pissed off because everyone gave the event rave reviews, so next time Hybrid came to town I got my ticket and went and only one guy from Hybrid came and he played a s**t set

Don't you just love promoters sometimes? Lol One time I had this huge feeling that I just should not go to work, but I forced myself to do it anyhow. After leaving work? I got into a car accident right outside of it.
