Awesome! My hopes is that it will be a huge success and that they don't mess up any characters on how they look and their personalites. The voices scare me too... I looked at some pictures of early drawings and they seem to match each character except for Pyros. I've always thought of Pyros, in his human form, to be handsome and young looking but the early drawings have him looking old and weird... I know in the book it never said he was young but it didn't say he was old either.

I didnt know When it was coming out. I really wanna see it tho. But I am scared it will be worse than the books. of course msot movies are.

Haha, yeah, The only thing keeping my sanity in tact about the movie is that Margaret Weis' daughter is the narrorator! That means the author(s) should have more than average input.

Dragonlance the Movie is due out next summer (last I heard).
Cast: scares me. As of right now teh only character I'm NOT all that concerned about vocally is Raistlin. I am fairly sure That Kiefer Sutherland will do the Archmage justice.
Artwork: is too "kiddy" to me. It just doesn't feel right to me for a Dragonlance movie. Not to mention that they STILL have the elves looking like Native Americans. *stabity doom*
But I'm reserving most judgements beyond that until after its released and THEN I'll pass judgement. Until then I'll keep hoping and trying not to cry.

But thing of it is, Dragonlance doesn't have enough money like LOTR to make all the effects, they'd have a budget far more to have actual actors, makeup, stunt men, then the effects of dragons! Oh don't get me started there, that'd cost them even more, not including spells, make people the correct heights digitally, and what not. Then if they were going to make it actually look good instead of a CARTOON it'd cost far more than they have for a budget. So they decided to make it a cartoon and look like a good cartoon than a bad graphics live action, even if it doensn't do dragonlance it's true name.

I hope they do it right from the cast to the look.But I still wish it was live action.Who would you want playing each role.

Well, Kiefer Sutherland not only sounds the part (when he wants to) but he could also LOOK the part quite well.
And I would probably also keep Lucy Lawless as Goldmoon. I don't care for her when it comes to voice acting, but at least we know she can physically do the role if its Live action. She was, afterall, Xena.

I had no clue there's going to be a movie! I really, really hope they don't mess up Raistlan. He's the best character there and if they mess him up, the whole thing will be down the drain!

I think I'll end up making one of my friends go see it for me and if it's any good, I might see it. I hate going to see movies that are based on books! Let's not forget the disaster that was Eragon. I went to go see it a couple weeks ago, like an hour after I finished the book, I was SO disappointed!! They skipped like half the book!! stare

Movies coming out this year...uh..yay. I dont like how Goldmoon looks like a native american either scream
I hate the fact that Eragon was such a sucky movie and i am afriad that since the Dragonlance movie is animated it will be just as bad.
