I'm still open to suggestions for the title, even though it has been officially named.
Summary: In a modern world, Ryuu Yasha Soma and Kendappa all went to school together from middle school to college. Now that they've grown up, Ryuu married Soma and Kendappa married Yasha. The only problem is... Soma and Kendappa have fallen in love with each other! Will the girls leave their husbands or keep going with a secret love affair.

Character profiles (needed since this is an AU):
Kendappa
Kendappa comes from a particularly wealthy Zaibatsu family, the Imonoyamas. She used to run one of the family's smaller companies, Piffle Princess, but stopped a few years ago so that she could stay home with her son/daughter Ashura (whoever wants to be Ashura can decide the he/she issue) instead.
Soma
Soma belongs to a family which has served the Imonoyama family for many generations as bodyguards. Soma was no exception. She went to school with Kendappa ever since kindergarten so that she could protect Kendappa. In recent years, her job has become more difficult and now that she's fallen in love with Kendappa, things aren't about to get any better.
Ryuo
Ryuo comes from a family which runs its own dojo and so he had a great deal of martial arts training since he was a child. When he grew up, he took over the family dojo so that his mother could retire. He now lives at the dojo with his wife Soma.
Yasha
Most of Yasha's family history is unknown. Kendappa has seen pictures of his mother but Yasha has said very little about her or his father. Basically, all that is known is that he has a half-brother Rasetsu (sp?) somewhere out there. He's now working in one of the Imonoyama family corporate offices.
Ashura
The young son/daughter (Ashura gets to decide his/her gender) of Kendappa and Yasha, Ashura is about to turn five. Ashura is a rather dense child but has still managed to notice that Mommy seems different lately.
Kujaku
Kujaku is Ashura's "nanny." Yasha doesn't trust him much but Ashura likes him so Kendappa insisted that Kujaku stay.

Kendappa stepped into Ashura's room to find the little child fast asleep in his (using his til we get an Ashura) bed. She smiled softly at him and silently and swiftly moved over to the heap of toys in the corner. Gently, she picked each of them up and put them soundlessly away in the toybox. Once her work was finished, she disappeared into the next room, blowing a kiss to her darling son as she left.

Yasha was sitting in the next room reading a news article from a magazine. He lowed the magazine when his wife entered and looked up to Kendappa. His look seem to question how their Ashura was doing. Yasha had always been distant and had somehow managed to find a way to communicate with glances when he didn't feel like talking.

"Ashura's fast asleep," Kendappa smiled. "He must have worn himself out when he was playing - his toys were all over the floor. I think... I'll start making dinner now." She disappeared into another room.

Yasha smirked. He could imagine his darling, precious, wonderful, beloved child playing until he wore himself out. Ashura was the most beautiful thing in existence and he was the joy of Yasha's life. He lifted up his magazine, "You need any help in there?"

As Kendappa started slicing vegetables, she called back, "No, dear, I'll be just fine on my own." She winced as the knife cut her finger rather than the vegetables and sucked delicately on the fingertip. "Ow..."

Yasha sprang up from his chair, dropping his magazine to the ground as he rushed to the kitchen. He took the knife from Kendappa's hand carefully and held her from behind, looking over her wound. It didn't look like she was bleeding very much. He placed a small kiss on the top of her beautiful head. "Be careful, darling."
He helped her rinse off her finger, keeping very close to her as he did so.

Kendappa smiled weakly, "Thank you, dear. I'm sorry."
Yasha was such a wonderful man and he cared for her so much. It made her ashamed of herself. She had once been this devoted to him as well but now she was in love with someone else... in love with Soma. What was she going to do?

"If you want, I can finish with dinner..." Yasha said quietly. He really hadn't been doing anything important and he did like to cook. He was a better cook than many of the busy working women at his job. He also didn't want his lovely Kendappa to overwork herself. She was like his Queen. He would do anything to make sure she was happy.
((LOL. Why don't we call this rp "Switching Teams"?))

((I've always had an adverse reaction to that phrase, probably because back in grade school the kids who thought I was a lesbian would harrass me with that one alot. Anyway, I also think we should probably go for a more serious title. Torn in Two or Broken Hearted maybe? I dunno. I'm kinda emoish with serious titles.))
"Oh, no, please, Yasha dearest!" Kendappa insisted. "This is the least I can do. I mean, you work so hard while I stay home with Ashura."
Kendappa smiled pleasantly up at her husband. She loved him so much that it hurt. She loved Ashura too. Why did this affair with Soma have to happen?

((Oh my. Sorry. : X That phrase always reminded me a comedian...I'm a bit of a goofball, but I think a serious name would be fine. 'Torn in Two' sounds nice.))
His Kendappa was such a sweetheart. He couldn't help kissing her again and hugging her tightly. "Don't say that like you're not important. You know how much it means to me for Ashura-chan to have a mother like you..."

Yasha grinned faintly as he watched his wife cooking. He had been meaning to tell her something very important. Yasha loved Ashura to death and was starting to wonder if they should try to have another child. Little Ashura would get lonely by himself. It was always good to have another child of his own age around. Plus, Yasha could already imagine that their next baby would be just as beautiful as Ashura. He pushed those thoughts aside until he was ready to tell Kendappa about them. "You can always go back to work if you really wanted. Part time, maybe?"
"We could always hire a different nanny...Maybe a couple to make sure they take good care of Ashura..." Yasha trailed off.

"Oh, I knew it," Kendappa frowned. "I'm really not doing this family any good by staying home, am I? My apologies, dearest. I'll go back to work as soon as possible, then. I could always find work in one of the family companies again, I suppose."

"Do what you want," Yasha finally replied with a shrug. Sometimes he thought Kendappa was too self-concious. No matter what she decided to do, he would support her, so why did she worry so much over it? He looked over her curiously one more time before deciding to go back into the other room. He could still talk with his Kendappa from there if she really needed something. He loved that woman, but many times he couldn't figure her out.
