The terrain is a set in an area that resembles something of a long abandoned underground cathedral. The Shadow Fiend, in which the goal of the training is to defeat, lays ready and waiting at the back of the cathedral, an area that has been flooded up to ones ankles with poisonous water. (see second image)

Other enemies lay ready to ambush any weary adventurer, making this training exercise not only difficult, but requiring one to be specially skilled to handle and work in such an environment.

Enemies:

Low Leveled Bats --> Merely a nuisance, nothing to overwork oneself over. However, be vigilant of other bats in the area, even if they are low level monsters, being out numbered in any situation is never wise, even for the most skilled warrior.

Medium Leveled Scorpions & Spiders --> Coming up to an average height individual’s thigh, its best advised not to take on more than two at a time, and that’s pushing the recommended limits. Scorpions can cause poison if one is not careful when facing off against such a fiend. Spiders on the other hand can appear from seemingly nowhere, dropping from their webs on the high, dark ceilings.

Medium Leveled Gargoyles --> Never seen too far from another of its kind, its advised to tread slowly when one is in the vicinity. A Gargoyle can cast surprisingly strong magic, which is assumed to be the convenience of taking residence in the abandoned cathedral for such a long time.

High Leveled Skeleton Warriors --> A long time ago, when the cathedral met its end, dark magic users and necromancers where sealed and burried alive. Provoked enough, they will emerge from the earth and wreak havoc on whoever they come across. What makes them so horrid is that they can constatly reanimate their fallen comrades with their necromancy. Its best to eliminate them all at once, or flee and hope that you can outrun or outsmart them.

Dangerous Leveled Bone Dragon --> Standing an overwhelming 16 feet tall, a Bone Dragon is definitely something even the most skilled fighter would dread facing off against in such an enclosed area. How such a massive fiend even wanders about the cathedral is a mystery in its own, not taking in account how it got there in the first place. It is advised to make an escape as quickly as possible if one is unlucky enough to find themselves up against this horrible monster.

Major Fiend:

Shadow Fiend --> The Shadow Fiend is a creature that lurks at the back of the cathedral, waiting for people who hunt it to seek it out only to kill and devour them. The Shadow Fiend is a dangerous entity that must be slain once and for all. The death of the Shadow Fiend is the goal of the training exercise.

An improved, yet harder to control version of a Bone Minion

Summon Bone Fiend
User Image

Whenever a Vampiric Horror thats controled deals damage, the master gain the same amount of health. Provides a difficult horror to control, and may even turn on its master from time to time

Summon Flesh Golem
User Image
The Flesh Golem is one of the most eliet horrors to raise from the dead. Its massive size is double that of a average human, and its power is a force to be reckoned with. Only the most skilled necromancers are able to control such a being, and even then with some difficulty.

Blood Of The Master
User Image
Sacrifice a portion of ones own life to give life back to all undead servants in the area.

Feast For The Dead
User Image
Exploit one undead servant to give life back to the surrounding Horrors.

Well Of Suffering
User Image
The ground becomes leathal for the enemies standing upon it, causing them to endure continuous damage until the Well disipates.

Lark, despite the urgings not to go alone, ventured into the cavern’s immense opening, briefly taking in the horrid magnificence of the crypt around her.

The walls were illuminated by mysteriously lit torches along the high walls, providing light, although very little of it. However that was okay, her eyes were used to dark places anyhow (being a necromancer had its pros and cons, a disadvantage being that the gift of the warm sunlight was a rare blessing).

She inhaled as deeply as she dared, the stale air effecting her lungs only slightly, but enough to make her cautious. Her eyes scanned the room intensely before she took a tentative step into the large room before her.

She had to locate the Shadow Fiend that was notorious for slaying the almost countless fools who ventured into the abandoned cathedral in the back of the cave to cut it down, only to find themselves being the ones receiving death instead.

It was strange that she couldn’t sense anything alive or undead in her surroundings. Usually there was something irritated with her intrusion and was quick to find death at the hands of one of her undead minions (she carried only dual daggers at her waist, although very rarely found the need to wield them).

Shrugging slightly, she walked across to the room to where the opposite wall opened up into a corridor lined with crumbling tombstones. In a twisted familiarity, Lark found herself more at ease surrounded by the dead rather than the vast openness of the room she had just vacated.

A quick, almost unnoticeable movement caught her eye in the corner of the dark corridor; something was definitely moving above the exit at the far end of the room.

Better safe than sorry, Lark concentrated her summoning abilities at the base of one of the tombstones, raising to her command a Bone Minion. She repeated the same summon a few more times, creating a small platoon.

“Go forth my horrors,” Lark commanded of her army, “draw out that fiend and decimate it.”

Obediently, the group of horrors made their way across the corridor, irritating the fiend that rustled above the doorway. In its anger, a spider that went up to Lark’s waist dropped down to the ground to meet the Bone Minions that were waiting for it.

In a swift movement, the spider sliced one of her minions in half, returning it to its eternal slumber.

“You want to play like that, do you?” Lark grinned slyly, forming the arcane with her hands, summoning to her a powerful Bone Fiend, a large skeletal being that could attack from a distance with a ranged blast.

Lark nodded her order to the creature when it looked at her quizzically for its command. With a single blast from the powerful horror, the spider was reduced to a smoldering corpse (a corpse in which Lark raised another Bone Minion to replace the one that the spider had destroyed).

Positive that she had heard something (or someone) in the room she had just left, she backtracked into the large chamber and noticed her Master asleep on the entrance floor.

Sighing to herself in exaperation, she walked over to her sleeping Master and gently shook him awake, "What are you do you think you are doing sleeping here of all places?! Its really dangerous, you know."

He looked up at her, the sleep still in his eyes, but didn't say anything. Letting her breath out in a sigh once more, she said "Well, since you're here, you might as well stick around. It may make this mission a great deal easier."

Looks sleeply at Lark. "Oh hey, Well I just felt like taking a nap. This place doesn't look to dangerous."
Notices something flyig over Larks head."Hey Lark ever wonder if Bats are tasty?" Turns first Bat inside out, looks up at the others flying toward us.
