It's rather black heavy down there. Judge 2 Color Scheme: 1.7/2 Matching: 1.9/2 Balance: 1.4/2 Creativity: 1/2 Comments: I enjoyed the simplistic look and how most of the textures were mirrored in different portions of the avatar. Judge 3 Color Scheme: 2/2 Matching: 2/2 Balance: 2/2 Creativity: 1/2 Comments: very simple, but it has perfect balance and is very pleasant to look at. the white touches are really the best part - black and gray is easy, but highlighting it with the white is a great cherry on top. I only didn't give this a second creativity point because it's not the most outlandishly original avatar, but it's still very good. Judge 4 Color Scheme: 1.5/2 Matching: 1.5/2 Balance: 1/2 Creativity: 1/2 Comments: I like it. But, might I ask why there is white in an obsidian avatar? Unless there is light being shined on it....I like it though. Judge 5 Color Scheme: 2/2 Matching: 1/2 Balance: 1/2 Creativity: 2/2 Comments: It seems like theres too much white towards the middle and bottom and too much gray at the top. So the balance is way off there. Some handhelds might have fixed this probem. Same with different, not all black pants.

Judge 2 Color Scheme: 1.5/2 Matching: 1.3/2 Balance: .8/2 Creativity: 1.4/2 Comments: Liked that you thought to use green, but with it all concentrated on the head it didn't look too well. Judge 3 Color Scheme: 0/2 Matching: 0/2 Balance: 1/2 Creativity: 1/2 Comments: well, I really like the item choices for this; it has a sense of shape, but it lacks definition because of the all-green on top and black-on-the-bottom. I like the gray balance (headband, katana, and belt) but it just isn't visually compelling. Judge 4 Color Scheme: 1/2 Matching: 1/2 Balance: 1/2 Creativity: 1/2 Comments: Not to my personal taste. All the green is on the top, no green at the bottom, the bottom looks very thick compared to the rest of the avatar as well. Judge 5 Color Scheme: 1/2 Matching: 2/2 Balance: 1/2 Creativity: 2/2 Comments: All of the green at the top totally throws everything off. Its also really cloth-heavy on the bottom, and then gets bare at the top. Not nearly enough black at the top. .__. The color scheme just didn't work for me with the green. XP: sorry.

As it is, the hair and they eyes look out of place because they're the only splash of color on the avatar. Judge 2 Color Scheme: .5/2 Matching: 1.7/2 Balance: 1.3/2 Creativity: .5/2 Comments: Didn't look like the head belonged with the rest of the avatar. It looked more innocent when I would have expected something...sinister. Judge 3 Color Scheme: 0/2 Matching: 0/2 Balance: 1/2 Creativity: 0/2 Comments: I really don't like all-black avatars, and this one just has nothing interesting about it at all to save it. plus, the hair is that shade of blue-black that clashes so bad with the rest of the solid black. it does maintain visual balance well though; a good job balancing the large hair and wings with the tail and chain. Judge 4 Color Scheme: 1.5/2 Matching: 1/2 Balance: 1.5/2 Creativity: 1/2 Comments: The avatar in itself is OK, but it's not that creative and it doesn't scream "OBSIDIAN" to me. Judge 5 Color Scheme: 1/2 Matching: 1/2 Balance: 1/2 Creativity: 0/2 Comments: Bah. The whole goth boots/web-net stockings and demon horns/tail thing is really overdone and I'm sick of it. .__. While, for the most part, the blacks match { cept for the hair - that REALLY sticks out } it just doesn't look all that original or creative to me. i could see the same thing at any other thread.

It's very smooth to look at, that's the only way I can describe it. I like this av very much. Judge 2 Color Scheme: 1.9/2 Matching: 1.7/2 Balance: 1.4/2 Creativity: 2/2 Comments: Creative use of the bouldur helm and the alien status was cute. Judge 3 Color Scheme: 2/2 Matching: 2/2 Balance: 1/2 Creativity: 1/2 Comments: interesting use of the alien skin as a secondary color. it has a good color flow and good item choice. the helmet is huge though, and while I see why you went barefoot to balance the skin distribution and you tried to use the katana to balance it, it's still top-heavy. I've seen similar avatars a lot, but this one is certainly nice with the added creativity of using the skin color to your advantage. Celeste Verselles Total Score: 40.6/50POLL SCORE: 9 JUDGES TOTAL: 31.6 Judge 1 Color Scheme: 2/2 Matching: 1.9/2 Balance: 2/2 Creativity: 2/2 Comments: I like this a lot, even though some of the item combinations are rather common, you spice it up with nice use of the alien event items which most people do rather poorly, but you pull them off well. Judge 2 Color Scheme: 1.6/2 Matching: 1.6/2 Balance: 1.3/2 Creativity: .7/2 Comments: For the most part it looked like you ignored your hair and that could've been fine if you did something else, but when everything else is grayscale your hair just sticks out that much more. Judge 3 Color Scheme: 1/2 Matching: 1/2 Balance: 2/2 Creativity: 1/2 Comments: this is pretty nice. I like the book addition to make it a little less static, and I like the balancing with the probe and tail. the colors play well together, but they're not that hard to work with, really. my only real complaint is, again, the hair. it's a totally different shade and it really detracts from the look. Judge 4 Color Scheme: 1.5/2 Matching: 2/2 Balance: 2/2 Creativity: 1/2 Comments: I really like it. The different shades of grey and the little bits of balanced skin really pull this avatar together. But the alien probe and goggles are being used in the almost the same way, all the time.
