I mean, afterall...they are the big time J-rockers who have sung in many, many animes (Including Great Teacher Onizuka, Rurouni Kenshin, Fullmetal Alchemist, & DNA2) we should all love and cherish. xD (Me, especially...since I'm a huge HYDE fan. gonk ) L'Arc~En~Ciel is a French word, translated it literally means, "The Arc in the Sky," which is also known as "rainbow." I think Testu gave the band this name. ^^ L'Arc~En~Ciel consisted of four group members ~ hyde (vocalist) testu (bass) ken (guitar) yukihiro (drums) Before this, I think there were twice or three times in which L'Arc~En~Ciel switched members. First members consisted of HYDE, Testu, Hiro, & Pero. Then Hiro quit, and Testu asked Ken to play guitarist in the place of him. Afterwards, Pero quit, and Testu asked Sakura to play as drummer for the band. Sakura was arrested sometime after that, and Testu found Yukihiro to play the drums. The only members who stayed were HYDE & Testu, through thick and thin, and swapping of members. xD ~

In 2005, there was an AWAKE tour, featuring their final album before they split up to continue on their solo careers. They also had an ASIALIVE Tour that year through China, Japan, and Korea.
Currently, they are each working on solo albums/projects.
hyde: Gone Solo. Producing Roentgen, HYDE 666, & Faith.
testu: Gone Solo. (TESTU69 & Creature Creature)
ken: Gone with another band I think. (S. O. A. P.)
yukihiro: I think also went with another band. (Acid Android?)
I read in an article they said they MIGHT come back together after their solo careers. HOPEFULLY. ; _ ; I really miss them. crying (HUGE FAN AT HEART. heart )

I don't think I've heard Niji... or maybe I heard it already but didn't know it was Niji... sweatdrop
But the other anime themes mentioned, I've already heard... I especially like Blurry Eyes... Ready Steady Go is cool also... Driver's High is not really my type, but it's cool too... ^_^
Is it true that Hyde gave to a manga artist some of the songs he wrote because the story of the manga is about a singer/songwriter? My friend just told me that... I wanna read that manga or watch the anime of that manga if ever that "rumor" is true... Ahhh~ so cool Laruku...

is one of the best anime songs I have ever heard! It really is! heart However, Hyde's voice in that song was really a pitch lower compared to his voice in the song Blurry Eyes (did I use pitch correctly?). It's disappointing hearing from others that Hyde smokes. He doesn't take care of his voice. crying Sad.

Very detailed thread! 3nodding You obviously care deeply about this band! They are very good! I had to get used to Driver's High though... sweatdrop I think cuz the english words "Love me love me" & "Kiss me kiss me" were kinda lame to hear... xd
I didn't know they broke up though! eek Or what their name meant. So much good info! Good job!

I'll be honest, I haven't heard much from them, other then Ready Steady Go and a song called New World (Dunno if that's in an anime or not..)
Still, from those two songs that I have heard, I am very impressed...however, I tend to overanalyze music sometimes ('tis a Dj's curse), so I'll spare you all some long and drawn out description of why I think they sound so great and just skip to the part where you say WHOOO!!!! xD
