I felt like making my own thread, since pretty much everybody else in here has one of their own...and I just realized I don't think I've ever started a thread in this guild. so here's my thread.

It's 7 minutes until closing time and nobody's in here except the two people I'm working with and the cleaning lady (who's vacuuming...) I don't think I've ever seen it this empty. And I don't care anymore, I just want to go home...
and I think I'm just posting in here in a futile attempt to convince other people to post in my thread as well.

I work at a library. and, guess what? it's time for me to go home! so I'll be back in 20 minutes or so, just gimme time to get home and get my computer booted up.

huzzah, I'm home now!
and doing...exactly what I was doing at the library: sitting on my bum playing on Gaia. just...not getting paid for it now. that's the one advantage to really slow nights: I can sit and play on the computer and get paid for doing exactly what I would've been doing had I been at home.

it's not usually anywhere near that slow, though. usually I'm running books all over the place for the entire time I'm there. that, and usually there's a lot more people in than there were tonight. I think nobody felt like trying to go out in the heat just to go to the library (it was miserably hot here today, and humid. ugh. it needs to rain.)

Even on a busy night, that can't be as bad as dealing with customers who have bad credit cards and think you're just "scanning it wrong" domokun
Do you get a lot of time to just daydream, even if you are putting books on shelves?

not really daydreaming time, I'm usually kinda busy making sure everything's in the right place. there's almost always stuff to do, and I can't really let my thoughts drift or else I mess up whatever it was I was trying to put away.
we've only had one decent thunderstorm here so far, which is odd, because usually it storms like crazy here during the spring and early summer. Sunday there was a pretty good storm, but that's been about it so far.
I want it to storm now. I love thunderstorms.
