oly s**t, guys. My strings have been pretty freakin dead for the last week or so, since I just buy strings when go to my guitar lesson (my teach gives me power slikys for $3). I just got a big package of 9v batteries to power my pedals. I got this crazy idea that just maybe, since the flow of electrons causes magnetism, it might create an eBow-like effect. Nope. The second both ends of the battery touched the string (my high e) BAM. It snapped. So never EVER touch your strings with 9v.

Yep. And the string (it was a very light, needle like string) flipped over and stuck into the back of my hand. About a 1/3 inch into the back of my hand. OUCH.

I just got a big package of 9v batteries to power my grandma. I got this crazy idea that just maybe, since the flow of electrons causes magnetism, it might create an grandmar-like effect. Nope. The second both ends of the battery touched the sgranmdma (my high e) BAM. It snapped. So never EVER touch your grandsma with 9v.
