Personality: The Shin-Ra specimen was clearly sarcastic and cocky, yet had the tendancy to get hyped up on missions.
History: Hyegun only knew of two things in the world she was growing up in; malnourishment and poverty. Her family was poor; on the verge of death. They were pale, sickly, with their ribs practically sticking through their flesh. She knew she needed to get away from it all. The nightmarish childhood...
On that day, someone... a SOLDIER, perhaps... Found the girl passed out in the middle of the wilderness and took her in. Where...? Where was she?
In a lab...
Scientists scuttled in and out. One of the men clad in white explained to her that she would make a "fine specimen" - that she was needed for their research. She agreed to participate in these tests, feeling rather optimistic about it. They told her that they would enhance her body.
It took hours, days, weeks, months, even years... It felt as if she was hooked up to a bunch of equipment; tubes digging straight through her flesh and connected to her central arteries. She was pumped with all sorts of nasty chemicals, but those chemicals kept her alive during their research. Her brittle physique writhed on the operation tables, her nails trying to slice through the cold metallic surface. She remembered giving a wicked cough and spewing up small traces of blood. She remembered feeling starved, cold, and alone while they strapped her to the steel wall when they were finished with the experimentations. Each day, she could feel her physique starting to change. Her skin tone was no longer peach. In fact, it was a porcelain color- dead. Her normal sapphire irises shifted into a crimson hue and her pupils were snake-like; full of hate. Her hair stayed the same for the most part, although it had a faint hint of silver mixed with her black strands of hair.
... She remembered dying.
... Or was it truly death in which she encountered?
... She remembered breaking out of a test tube and having a difficult time trying to breathe.
She remembered those foolish men clad in the white coats taking specimens out of their tanks. They tried to devour her, but she fought back.
The transformation...
It wasn't human at all... It was beastly. She was a beastly girl.
Days rolled by... weeks... months... years. Finally, she was ready... Clad in a suit and equipped with an electro mag. rod, she passed the tests with a success rate of 90%.
She was recruited as a Turk.
Other: "I'm sure you are curious about that Wutaian legend. The one about the cursed immortal vampire. It's an old tale and I suppose I got my name from the legend. I hardly remember my true name and just stuck by "Hyegun" ever since I broke out of the laboratory. I have no middle name or last name... Just "Hyegun"... Hell, I hardly remember my own childhood. But I do remember living down by the river with my poor family... Sick from starvation.
But anyway, the legendary vampire from Wutai was viewed as either a nuisance or good guy. The creature wasn't neccessarily good... however, the vampire wasn't bad, either. The people feared the beast, though. It was cursed with bloodlust, yet it was blessed with immortality. The vampire never tried to bite any of the inhabitants in Wutai, but it was forced to steal the cattle from farmers. It drank off of the blood of animals, thus, making the farmers enraged. Afterall, they were not making a profit off of the dead carcasses.
Occasionally, Hyegun would feast off of the humans- but only if they wanted to waltz in eternal darkness. Also, because vampirism was easily spread like the plague, Hyegun had to make a wise decision whether it wanted to introduce their victims to the dark side or not. Hyegun had to make sure they wouldn't act overly-abusive with their new abilities. Hyegun only took away two of the villager's lives. One man and one young girl. Hyegun taught them everything about their newfound abilities. Eventually, they acted like a family and relied on eachother when times were dire.
Unfortunately, the farmers complained about the trio and one of the high-priestesses from the temple stepped in to do something about it. The priestess made three seals to keep the wandering spirits at bay for eternity... Equipped with a bow and arrow, the priestess advanced into Wutai's forest. She tore the three seals onto each arrow and launched them at the trio. Each arrow landed in the center of their foreheads. The vampires whimpered in agony and their bodies started to crumble away... turning into dust.
They were never seen again, although there's a rumor going around that you can hear children's laughter in the forest... around midnight."
Additional Notes: Hyegun was turned into a 'regenerator' by Hojo. This means she can heal fairly fast (full regeneration rate takes up to 30 minutes, however). She needs it for her secondary form (her limit break). Also, her past memories have been removed for the most part and she has been struggling to figure out her 'true self'-- the real reason why she ran off to Shin-Ra. She originally had a purpose to fulfill, but lost it years ago. The fragments of her memory surface from time-to-time, but several fragments are false beliefs that she has clung onto and assumed to be true (such as her childhood; her parents were actually fine back then). Hojo supposedly manipulated her mind, twisting her thought process around so she would have one hell of a time to sort through the truth and lies.
