The largest of the dryed out lands of western Astrodoth, the Dunes stretched for thousands of miles, out into the Outer Maps. There were lots of caverns hidden under the sands, and lots of secrets burried with them. They say, even so, that there was a kingdom that lay in the center of the deserts, burried deep underground long ago. Those, like a lot of things, were just rumors, though.

//ooc: Yeah, yeah...//

Travelling through dimensions for the second time wasn't as unpleasant as the first, as she was quite a bit more prepared for the sensation. However, as she landed in the seemingly endless sand dunes beside the halfling, she had to admit that their location was much worse than what she had thought.
"Okay, we're stuck here..." she heard Kreggins say, then something about raiders. Her metallic blue eyes shifter toward the massive portal in the sky, her mouth a stiff line as she frowned at the scenery. Having lived her entire life by the coast, which was relatively humid, the sudden change to the dry, hot climate was not to her liking at all.
"If the portal is still there, can't we access it and return to the Demiplane?" she asked, staring at the portal high above. "But then again... it would be a matter of reaching the sky itself. Never mind, then. Do you know of our location, and how far it is to Arrorikar?"

Kreggins laughed, half bitterly, "Oh, don't think we'll be getting back to Arrorikar any time soon. We're on the other side of Astrodoth. The Waste Lands..." He explained getting up and looking around. It was a little after dawn, and since the suns set in the East, the halfling began to figure out which way was going to get them to the Sand City. His foot nudged something, and he looked back behind him as the portal above them shut. There was a large claw sticking out of the ground, and he moved forward quickly, startled. Waiting to see if it was moving, he quickly noticed it's lack of life. "Erm..." He moved forward for it, poking it and then grabbing it out of the ground. It seemed to be a huge... spider leg, dismembered from the body. "What the..." he exclaimed, but soon he reflexively ducked, a long harpoon shooting over his head, a rope attached to it. It was pulled back, coming back at him and hitting his feet; tangling the rope up on the halfling's ankles. He made no sound, but fell with the pull of the rope as he sped across the sandy-dunes, several figures looking at them from the distance; seeming to be wearing a lot of cloth over their faces, and even over the bodies. As for the rope, it seemed to be reeled in by a large box next to them, on a wagon.
Kreggins turned over in mid slide, trying to move for his dagger. Sitting up for a second, he pulled it out of his boot, in mid-pull cutting the rope, but he quickly jerked, rolling over and over. Lucky that he didn't stab himself, he got up quickly and ran as arrows began to fall near him. "Lets go! Aspen, Keep moving that way!" Kreggins yelled as he ran, pointing behind her to the sandy dune hills.
