I say it's Gaara, with the R sounding as a 'D'.
Like Gaada.
I've never really heard them say Gaara's name in Japanese(shame on me), but I think it's pretty much said that way.
I mean, Rock Lee's name is pronounced 'Dock Ree'.

If I recall correctly. I do belive it is more of a "L" sound that is fused with the "R" so I think it would be more like Gaahrla. or some thing, sence the Japanese do not use the "r" sound of the English language.

Ah.
Well, the 'R' sound in Japanese is pronounced the the 'D' sound in English.
But that still makes sence....

L and R are veeery close in Japanese... Gaala or Lock Ree would be understandable though I think they translated it right, or it could of be a crappy dubbing like in Inuyasha with Kirara...
