Seeing the "Help Wanted" sign, Neith entered the cafe shop happily. Finally, a job that I might actually like. Converse All-Stars, here I come! Among other things. . . Neith sold candy at school, and babysat for money, but school was over and she wasn't getting many babysitting gigs. This would be the perfect oppurtunity to make money and get discounted books. For her, reading was like being a cocaine addict, it altered her state of mind, but constantly needed money to keep up her supply. She also liked to have money, period. She looked around the sea of coffee-sippers and book hunters, searching for someone to talk to about the job. Now, if I can just find the owner.

Spirit laid on a couch reading to herself. She looked up from the book and saw a girl. Embarrassed by her lazy position, she got up quickly and tried to act professional. "Welcome to the Lunar Cafe! Customer service is our way! May I help you with anything today?"

Neith hid her snicker with a cough. I wonder who came up with that rhyme? "Er, I'm looking for a job as a waitress?"

"Well, you've come to the right place. We are in need of some employees, as you saw by the sign. Competition is getting heavy these days." Spirit hoped she didn't notice that the cafe was completely empty.

Ed walked into the cafe, looking around. She glanced over towards the bookshelves and her lips curve into the beginnings of a smile. What a charming cafe, she thought. I'm sure it'll attract some sort of psychopathic customer soon, she added to herself cynically. She walked towards the red couch and sat down, placing the book she held, Genshiken, The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture which was just a eleven dollar manga, in her lap. After removing her shades and replacing them with reading glasses, she waved to the owner and other customer sheepishly.

((Er, I just said that it was full of coffee-sippers and book-hunters. Who's gonna edit?))
Neith smiled over at the reader, and returned her attention to the owner of the establishment. "I'm sure. So, can I have the job?" she asked hopefully. It wasn't much of a job interview, but it was obvious that they were in need of staff. At that moment, a customer came up to her. "Excuse me, do you work here?" the woman looked at her, and the fact that she was talking to the owner, and answered her own question. "Do you have a periodicals section?" Neith cast her eyes around and found the stand. "Right over by the counter," she replied, and pointed the woman in the right direction. "Have a nice day."

"Of course! Take the job!" Spirit handed her the extra set keys to the store. She new she sounded desperate. She was.

Leslie walks into the coffee shop, looking around. She then notices the manga section and bounces over with a squeal as she names the available mangas to herself, "Ooh! Fake! And Card Captor Sakura! Ooh, Bleach!" She finally grabs a manga titled "Ceres: Celestial Legend," with the number 5 on its spine and takes a seat on one of the couches, sprawling out comfortably.

Spirit looked over at the squealing girl. "Hello! Welcome to the lunar cafe!" She didn't bother to say the rest of the greeting because it was old and repetitive.

"Thanks!" she called to the owner as she went to help another customer. Neith then went around to the other side of the serving counter. Now if I can just figure out how to make any of those drinks. . . She hunted around for instructions, and soon found them. Let's see. . . How do you make an oreo frappe?

Leslie grins at Spirit, then, remembering WHY she'd come in, she bounces up outta her seat, "Hey, there's a sign on the door that says you're hiring! Can I work here? I've read or seen about a million bazillion different animes and mangas! And, I'm into the Wicca scene that's bound to meander into here, and plus, I just love to read! Please?"

((heh...bit late, but you know, it doesn't honestly matter))
Raven smiled as he entered, his light brown hair obscuring one eye. He lugged his guitar behind him, and leaned it against the couch as he let himself fall gracefully and abruptly down onto it. "This place need entertainment.." he called to nobody in particular.

Neith leaned over the counter, sipping her newly made frappe. I hope I get an employee discount, she thought, taking in all the people in he store. Her eyes fell on a boy who had just come in, lugging an acoustic guitar. Lovely. This should be entertaining.
