My instructor may be getting a stable built and if she does I will be able to baord my horse there.

Currently she is at my Aunts. There's nothing wrong with my Aunts house, it just too far away.

How much is a good price for boarding? Around where I live I've been told it can be 450 or more.

In England we call it livery but it's when your horse is staying at a stables, kinda like boarding school. I think. domokun

I see and I thought boarding is when you ship a horse or horses across the boarder.

$450 is pretty steep. Most of the places around me are about $200 - $500.

at the barn my horse is boarded at, its $175 in the summer for pasture/paddock kept horses and $300 in the winter (and for strictly paddock and stall kept horses year round). but i made a deal with the stable manager where i work off my horses stay and keep, its great. maybe u could do something like that? dont know if ud be into it.

$450 is quite a lot for boarding, but what are the facilities like there? It would be worth it if the stable had large box stalls with runs, indoor and covered arenas, large grass turnouts, etc.
Check the other stables in the area. It is always best to compare rates of many different barns before you make a descision.
