Here's a place for you to post a summary of maybe a current story you're working on, or if you would like to see if anyone has any ideas to help you.
I'm currently working on a fic called, A Life in Denial, summary here:
Lacey always thought he was a normal kid...leading a normal life, with normal friends and a normal family, but one halloween he meets a vampire and a half demon who tell him something that changes his life forever. Now he has to come to terms with being a vampire while the clock ticks down to his eighteeth birthday, when his real parents will reveal themselves and everything will kick off.
He meets many strange characters along the way- a vampire with a permenant hard-on, an intellectual half demon, a dark and mysterious faction leader, but when it all comes down to it, which ones can he trust to lead him down the right path?
Who will be on his side when the demons come for him?

Stuck in a bit of a rut with the writing though, just when I was about to write the smut too =/

If you ever post that one on gaia, please post a link somewhere in the guild! To start with it sounded a lil' bit like a few Harry Potter fanfics I've read-however you most certainly have some original ideas! I hope you're not in a rut for long-it sounds hilarious and facinating!

I'm gunna finish writing it soon, when I can get round to it hehe. Half of it is up on my website atm, I can pm you the link if you like ^^

Laith is a Nightmare Demon, Rin is a transvestite fae who has fallen in love with Laith, much to his (Laith's) complete and utter confuzzlement ^^ Just Why the hell wont that crazy girl keep trying to follow him back down into hell? And why does his master (Lucifer) get that funny look on his face everytime he calls Rin 'she'? When he's not 'playing' with his own lover, of course
Add to that an uprising amoungst the ranks of the daemons, a more than slightly irrate fae court, a sorded affair between a certain demon and an angel, and a group of human teenages suddenly stuck in the midst of things, how's a Nightmare meant to cope?

The story I am currently working on (or rather, was working on) is called Flamoya's Martyr(sp?) but the title is subject to change as I am fickle.
The story revolves around a young demon child, Shonasha Shonojo, who at a young age is taken from his family to work as one of the many servants to the noble family who rules over his village. Despite the positive way he goes into the service, things turn ugly when Shonasha finds himself being used in some plot he does not understand. He is framed for the death of another noble woman.
Now Shonasha must find a way to unveil the plot while constantly fighting for a freedom he should have had since birth. But how can he defend himself when he is of a race with a bloody history?
It's part of a trilogy I'm writing. I'm about a third done. :shrugs:

I finally decided on the next story I'm going to work on ^^ I've had so many ideas, it's been difficult.
Basically it's about my new character Noelle, who is gay, and his best friend and roommate Christian who is straight. Christian has a girlfriend, Noelle has a boyfriend, but Noelle has secretly been in love with his friend for years.
At some point in the story, Noelle tells Christian he's in love with him and gets rejected, albeit nicely, but when Christian finds out his boyfriend has been abusing him, he sticks up for him, goes round and beats the guy up. Afterwards, he starts thinking about how much he cares about Noelle, and in the following weeks breaks up with his girlfriend because he just doesn't have that spark with her anymore.
Basically, eventually it turns out that he finds out he's actually been in love with Noelle all along and then there's the obligatory conflict about his sexuality.
What do you think? Think people will want to read it?

What do you think? Think people will want to read it? I like the sound of it! Definitely has a lot of potential. Only thing I'd watch out for is that it could slip into sounding cliched if you didn't keep an eye on it - though that goes for everything, really. As long as the characters are fresh and interesting I doubt it'll be a problem biggrin I look forward to hearing more! Trying to decide whether to post a summary of my NaNo novel, which I'm still working on. Would anyone be interested? It may be somewhat long.

I might do so myself if I can find some bits that aren't nc-17 XD I'll consider posting chapters when it's on it's second draft. I have a plan, you see. First draft I give on a one-to-one basis to friends. Then I go back through it and do editing. Second draft's the one I'm going to post around more widely and get lots of comments, based on which I edit it into the third and probably final draft. The one I show to parents and things. I'll do you a summary when I have a spare hour or so to compose my thoughts biggrin

Usually I make up different storylines for a character, but I'll tell you one of my story ideas...
It's about Bart and Joey.
When Joey starts the first year of high school, he has Bart as a classmate. He can't stop thinking about how beautiful he is, but he was raised very catholic so doesn't even consider the fact that he might be in love. Things stay calm for a couple of months.
Bart is certainly one of the popular kids, he has "cool" friends and dates girls because that's what cool kids have to do. His group of friends start to notice Joey and suspect him to be gay, which they think is totally gross. Joey's always looking at Bart so Bart is forced to make friends with Joey to check if he really is gay. Bart does so, but as he gets closer to Joey he falls in love too. Bart doesn't want to go on with the plan, but the cool kids don't like to hear this. They tell Joey that Barts friendship was all a trick, which really hurts Joey. Now Bart has to do the best he can to make clear to Joey that he really loves him...
Damn, I really suck at writing summaries, they're always too long.

Living Shinigami Damn, I really suck at writing summaries, they're always too long. You think that was long? Wait till you see the summary of my NaNo novel I'm going to write up and post! There's a distinct probability of it having to end up organised with subsections. Idea sounds interesting, reminds me a little of Ten Things I Hate About You.

cyropi Living Shinigami Damn, I really suck at writing summaries, they're always too long. You think that was long? Wait till you see the summary of my NaNo novel I'm going to write up and post! There's a distinct probability of it having to end up organised with subsections. Idea sounds interesting, reminds me a little of Ten Things I Hate About You.
Actually it's more about the stories I make up about them now (they're now 17 and 18, they've existed for a while ^.^)
This story was just something to give them a bit of a background.
