I've noticed that when people pet my head or play with my hair, I start getting almost...I dunno. Like, my hands start to shake, and I get really sleepy. I also notice that it's at times like this that my phantom limbs are most noticable.
Does anyone else experience anythinglike this?

no....i just get really angry inside when someone plays with my hair neutral even if it's a friend.
i suppose we just have different reactions....
i do like my head to be patted though, just that i don't like people actually touching my hair and combing/sraightenning it or whatever. i suspect that's because it feels like a muzzle/chain or something.

Only, it has to be someone I don't dislike.
But when I'm petted, yeah, my ears and wings twitch and my tail sways and I feel like I want to purr.

i've always been subject to petting. when i was barely a few days old my dad discovered the "cutest thing" that when someone strokes my cheek (similar to how you'd rub a cat's cheek) i unconciously tilt my head back and relax.
i don't like random people petting me or even touching me at all, but i love being petted.

I don't really like to be touched at all, anywhere... I kindof have personal space issues sweatdrop But I have to admit it does feel good being petted, even if I'm hating the fact that someone is patting my head.

I don't like physical contact much, especially around the back of my neck or my shoulderblades, although I will make exceptions for my hugaholic friends...

I don't like the touch of strangers, but I love physical contact in general. My boyfriend is always touching me when we're together, even if it's just a light brush on the top of my hand or something, and I can't get enough of it. whee

When I was around 5, or younger, I'd be sleeping in church and my dad would sort of erm...just rub my ears...equivilant to scratching my ears I suppose..but either way, it was always calming. Perhaps it was just because it was my dad, but I dunno...
...I like going to get my hair cut, because I like someone running their fingers through my hair @_@...XD perhaps I'm just weird

I love touch and being touched. I'm very, very touch-sensitive (except to pain - I have a frightening pain threshold) more or less everywhere. The little hairs on the back of my beck are so sensitive as to be almost painful at times. Wearing a shirt kind of hurt all of today. xp
On the bright side, though, it means that nice touch is really, eally nice. I love getting scratched or petted, especially on the head and back. Behind the ears is delicious. I also manage to surprise most when I manage to actually purr. I'm not sure when I learned how, but... I can purr. Pretty cool, makes it easier for me to express myself when someone's scratching me behind the ears. It so relaxing.
Of course, my sensitivity also means that negative touch or touch from those I don't like feels ALL wrong on my skin. I hate it. And I hate getting hit in the head. I can deal with it, but it's the one place I really don't like to get hit. ><

My friend Nick knows about my kin-ness, so he teases me by rubbing the spot where my antennae are.
It's annoying but reeaaaaallly relaxing

A note on people playing with my hair: I hate it. Probably just because I'm always worried my hair is too greasy or I've got dandruff or something. whee Which sadly tends to be true... sweatdrop

There are certain people..that when they try to get near me, I take all will power to resist growling at them and narrowing my eyes ( I usually end up backing away)...But then there are other people, ..that *RARELY* I let them pet me and it's like I've gone from being a "proud" wolf, to being all weak and cuddly XDD... T__T I love it when certain people pet me, ..I just melt, and feel like going to sleep
