So now that I've officially added Vassal to the game, it occurs to me that I need to come up with some rules for its use.

1.) During non-combat, players may freely chat OOC in the Vassal channel. I will, for the most part, not pay attention to what goes on there, so if you want to ask something directly, IM will still be the best way to do so. Private messages inside Vassal will also get my attention (since it pops up in a new window) but otherwise, feel free to chat however you'd like in there.

2.) During combat, only text related directly to the combat (declarations of moving, attacking in a certain way, etc) or IC (dialogue, non-combat actions, etc) will be allowed in the main channel. Any other chat (random OOC or even OOC discussion of what's going on) should be kept to private messages and IMs. The purpose of this is so, for instance, after initiative is rolled, I can easily see who has what initiative, and it doesn't get burried in the chat that follows.

3.) The regular dice will be used, rather than the "Multiples" button. The Multiples button shows the result, but not the actual roll. Seeing the actual roll makes it easier to see when someone gets, for instance, a natural 20. So just roll the D20, then make a second statement telling me what your mod is and what the total is. As an example, a die roll for init might look like this if I had a 4 init mod:

*** 1d20 = 16 ***
- +4=20 init

I think that about covers it for now. I'll add more when/if I think of it.
