Setting:
The beautiful, dark City of Midnight was deserted many years ago by humans that feared for their lives. Now, dark creatures rule this city, and call it their own. Werewolves, Demons, Humans, Vampires, Mages, Elves; all of them combine to find a place that is perfect for where they need to stay. Inside this city, there are: houses, apartments, clubs, allys, parks, woods, and many other wonderful surroundings to furfill your darkest needs.

She walked from her apartment into the allyway, sighing as she pulled her coat around her. She began to walk in between the two apartment buildings, and finally made it out to the streets, "Home sweet home..." she whispered to herself, and then walked quietly to the park, where she sat down in a nerby bench and started writing.

Helena walked briskly down the empty streets, a tattered cloak billowing behind her. She was in the guise of a wrinkled, bony old woman, but didn't bother to hobble like she had been before. She had to get away, had to get back to the house she'd found to live in before her spell faded and the creature that was haunting her caught onto her trail once again.
"Oh, no!" she gasped. She paused and looked down at her gnarled hands. The wrinkles were vanishing, slowly but surely. She could feel herself getting taller, feel her back straightening a bit. Breaking into a sprint, the "old" woman dashed through the streets, not caring that her feet echoed loudly around her.

"I told you! Pay me upfront or no deal!" Anon's gruff voice rumbled through the tavern and into the street. He slammed his fists onto the rotting table, it shattering into a milion shards the were harmlessly repelled by his leather boots.
"I told you! I can pay you after he's dead!" The man flailed a shabby sheet of paper that appeared to be a contract. The patrons of the bar occasional looked up to the two idiots disturbing their good time and payed them no mind. "Just another night for Anon," they'd tell themselves and go back to their dealings.
Anon cracked his giant knuckles and looked down at this guy trying to con him and gave him an intimidating glare. "Listen to me, round eyes! I'm gonna tell you this one last time: I may be old, but if you don't pay me upfront, you're leaving this bar without your head."
The man gritted his teeth as if he were about to explode. His eyes popping, the man pointed a threatening finger at Anon and said, "Now you listen to me, you merc! I am the customer, and the cutomer is always right! So you better sit down and shu-"
Anon wiped the blood off his glowing palm, making sure the seal on it was intact. He looked this his fellow bar-goeres and gave them the same disgruntled look and phrase he gave them every night. "Uhh sorry about that. I'll clean that up."
And like every other night, he'd sketch another seal onto the wall erasing all traces of his former employer.

Footsteps echoed down an empty alley. Tendrils of darkness began to grasp it, wrenching out what little light there was. A figure, if nothing else, strode down this beshadowed alley. A sadistic grin upon this man's face.
Kalusef outstretched his wings, his seductive laugh carried upon the wind. He continued to stride down the alley, hand upon the cold, gritty bricks that made up a building to his right. With a click, click, his long, black fingernails scratched against it.
"Well, what an accommodating city. Not a soul here, though. I wonder where they've gone? I'm sure I'll find someone... anyone will do..."
