Almost a year ago, Note's father, Riz, fell sick. About a month after, Note recieved word that his condition was terminal.

Struck by an unsual sense of family duty, he left for his family's home in Barton Town right away.

He spent that time getting to know his father like he hadn't before. Until now his father had concealed his arcane gift. No, he revealed only to his son.

Riz was given, what he described as, "a strong spirit".

What this meant was, his soul was something tangible that lived in his body.

The older Riz got, the stronger his spirit got. Until finally, it became too much for his body.

This is why Riz fell sick.

His spirit had outgrown his body.

During this painful transition, Riz taught his son to be more calm and collected. While this had no effect on his independent and romantic personality, it offered to be a little more gaurded with his thoughts and be more calculated with his actions.

When Riz's body died, his spirit took on a visible form. ((See the shadow spirit on my avi? That's Riz.))

Riz can't physically interact with anyone. At least not for another human lifetime. He can only appear, disappear and talk with other people.

Unlike his son, he is very practical as well as empathetic. Once people get past his alarming appearance, he is a very warm and charming person.
