Actually on DragonFable they had a Pirate vs Ninja war. As I post the number of waves defeated they have Ninjas twice as successful, and have defeated twice as many wave (2 million or something).
I ninjas are superior to pirates except for Naruto Cosplayers. Anything can kill those. A REAL ninja however can kill a pirate. Quite simple really. I figure the pirate would shoot the Pirate with a cannonball or a pistol. The ninja would grab said ball or bullet, and throw it back twice as fast and kill the pirate instantly. Pirates don't really have any special powers, and as far as I know, their only real threat is guns/cannons. xp

Pirates are their own natural enemy. They'll probably die on a boat that either sank or is lost for eternity, getting sick off scurvy and what not. Ninjas don't need boats and they can be anywhere, they're not often treated like criminals because they're stealthy and they take their daily dose of Vitamin C like normal people should.
