It was a dark night, like anyother at the human base camp, but it was raining. Cold, icy drops of water plummeted from the sky, churning the earth into mud. Safe inside his tent, a distraught young man paced back and forth. The tent was opened to reveal a younger man who hastily entered the shelter. "Colonel" The younger man saluted. "Dammit Dieter! Where's that Pixie!?" the pacing man interupted. "Faerie, sir." the younger informed him. The brunette stopped his pacing and turned towards the First Lieutenant. "No need to be formal Didi. We are brothers after all." he said, with annoyance still evident in his voice. "My apologies" Dieter replied. "DIDI!!!" The Colonel's pitch rose as he walked over to the younger man in an attempt to strangle him. "The faerie." Dieter stated, causing the Colonel to stop midstep. "He has been sighted but has yet to leave the Brandwunde Valley." The frustrated man slammed his fists down on his desks, scattering the few sheets of paperwork that had been left undone. Dieter bent down and picked up the few papers and replaced them on the desk. "Alexius." Dieter turned to the Colonel to see him staring off into space. "Yes Didi?" Dieter walked over to Alexius and placed his hand on the other man's shoulder. He looked the man in the eyes before continuing. "Everything will work out in the end. Things aren't perfect. That's what we are here for. To fix what's been messed up." Dieter smiled as Alexius' mood lightened. "Still. I don't remember signing up for this." Alexius said ending with a laugh.

Dieter turned to see the Dragon enter the tent. 'And you are?" he asked the dragon as it turned to leave. Alexius walked up to Dieter and stared at the dragon. "It's a dragon." he said in Awe. Dieter shook his head in mock disappointment.

Athena grabbed her sword and lugged it onto her back with a "Omf!" She bagn to walk towrd a tent with a dragon in it as far as she could tell. She walked in to discover to men and a dragon. "So wheres my tent?" she asked. It was almost night and she wanted to put her sword down somewhere and lay down to rest.

Athena crossed her arms "You shall not refer to me...Oh what ever!" with that athena turned around and began to walk out "Humens! I'll find a place to sleep. Unuseful creatures!" she mutterd. When she got out side she changed into a dragon and flew into the trees.

Alexius gathered the last of the papers and slid into his chair. "Dragons. Can't live with them, can't live without them. They're like women. They get so offensive at the slightest thing. Now, a female dragon. We're talking about armagedon." Dieter walked over to the Colonel's desk and placed two more letters on his desk. A band of Extremest Demons have attacked Mhic Dhu Ghaill." Dieter informed the Colonel. Alexius slammed his fists on the desk. "Dammit! They were major supplier of our weapons!" Dieter continued. "Few survived the massacre." Alexius growled but did not respond, waiting for the First Leutinant to finish. "No sign of the Faerie." Alexius slumped farther into his chair. "That is not good. We were to negotiate a treaty with the Faerie king. We need the Faeries on our side.!" Alexius punched his desk in anger. The two were interupted again when a lower ranking soldier walked into the tent. "Permission to speak." he saluted when he said this. "Permission granted." Alexius replied, reclining in the leather cair. "The recruits have arrived." he said. "They are waiting in the Barracks for their orders." Alexius and Dieter looked at each other before Alexius replied. "Very well. You may leave." he said simply.

A steely monotone could be heard from a loudspeaker nearby. "All Soldiers and Dragons report to the soldier's Barracks immediatly. This is an order from your commanding officer. Report to the Soldier Barracks, immediatly. Alexius and Dieter trudged through the rain and mud to the Soldier Barracks halfway across base.

Athena herd the command and grabbed her sword. She jumped down and half way from the ground, changed into a dragon. She flew to the barraks and stopped. She transformed ontop of a tree branch close to the branch and jumped down.
