Though I cannot sincerly say I made this, nor that this has not been posted before, I give you the best SasuNaru essay ever written. In my opinion.
Thicker Than Blood :: A SasuNaru Essay
All credit to it's writer.

My heart (I have a heart? O_o) actually ached when I read it. It was like...'damn! you hit the ultimate bulls eye!'
Really, no one could have explained it better.

Mmhmm. Almost wants you to go to a NaruSasu hater board, and shove it in their face that NaruSasu COULD be a OTP. That just because it's gaylove doesn't mean they should hate it.
That Naruto and Sasuke have a strong, intimate relationship neither knows how to express through words nor feelings.

yeah! I've read that before and I was like "Oh my God, that is sooo true!"
And I let my friends (who were not SasuNaru fans) read it too and guess what? they're more of a SasuNaru addict than me.

I was in a forum on tv.com where people were saying how Sasunar was stupid stressed so I posted this essay there for them to read biggrin and you know what this guy said, that it wasn't proof of sasunaru that it only talked about their friendship. I was like confused question confused hello didn't you read it right, that is clearly sasunaru. People can be so dumb sometimes it gets me mad stressed

That essay was kinda heartwrenching it was that good (very thorough)
I should print it out and shove it into my friends faces who laugh at my attempts to explain how SasuNaru~NaruSasu could actually work and be like "HAHA! Laugh now fools!"

Right now, after having just finished reading that essay, I feel... speechless. Completely and utterly speechless. This essay makes me feel like I've once again fallen tragically in love with this pairing. I just... --sigh--
When I first became a SasuNaru fan, it was with a feeling of hopelessness and gut-wrenching sadness. At the time, I hadn't known why. Since that time, as my understanding of the series, its characters, and their relationships increased, I slowly discovered the reasons for that sadness. There was a hope inside me, however, for Sasuke and Naruto's redemption through each other. Although the two tear each other apart (physically and emotionally), they are the only ones who can put each other back together again. I came to that understanding as the reason why I was so ardently for Sasuke and Naruto's relationship and so avidly against them being with anyone else.
When I read the essay, there were factors to their story that I hadn't taken into consideration. For example, the true depth of Sakura's development of their relationship. On the other hand, the author pointed out points that I had also concluded but I hadn't analyzed in such depth before; Sasuke's tragic past and brokenness, for example, shaped how twisted he became. I loved this essay for that reason. The conclusions that I had come to are now more firm and resound because I've read that article, and I think that I appreciate my OTP so much more than I did before.
Thank you so much for providing the link to that, Olive Treeless. biggrin It is very much appreciated.
