If you need help wih something, post it here. One of the veteran KoL members will produce a quick guide to help you with your immediate problem.
And if you have a guide for something tricky (like long-name's ascend in 40 days) feel free to post that too.
Keep in mind spoilers will most likely be involved.

I have gotten stuck in several quests (boss bat, King slug etc) where a come to a spot where it says "You will need protection to advance further" it is reffering to the smell (seeing as its a sewage pipe, and bat guano) so what do i need?

Also try some elemental saucesphere, anything that protects you from stench will work
