it's fairly simple...all you do is post a quote or two and say why you like them, or why you liked them at the moment you wrote it down/memorized it...or one that you hate but have had stuck in your head all day...any who me first...
"I go to see a Great Perhaps"-these were supposedly the last words of Francois Rabelais...he was some French guy I'm not sure what he did while he was al ive, but I like it...death...just another adventure for this Great Perhaps he was refering to...I don't know why, but it's my favorite...

Okay, well since you read that quote in the Alaska book, it reminded me of my favorite quote in that book.
It's an excerpt from The General in His Labyrinth that is mentioned frequently in this other book we read.
"How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!"
The speaker is referring to the labyrinth of suffering, which all of us have been stuck in at one point in our lives. The answer to such a question really lies within yourself. How will you get out of the labyrinth?
In addition, I'm not sure if this is 'allowed', oh mighty Sai, but I'm putting two quotes! =P This one is also from the book we were reading Looking for Alaska, and I loved it.

The reason I particulary took a liking to it was that I'd been thinking about that alot at the time. I'd spent way too much of my free time thinking about what I would like to say to someone after I died or if I'd ever be able to tell someone how I really felt about them, whether something would happen to prevent such a confession before I got up the courage to make it.
That's about it for now! And I LOVE the idea of this thread! I've been writing down quotes a lot lately, as you have, Sai.

How does this not make sense? I love this quote because it explains the power that a man in the right place can have. I love how this quote explains the disproportionate distribution of power in a democracy. I love politics, and this quote has a lot of weight in my view on things... as does another that I've got here.

I love this one despite the contradictory I'm now making...If anything I'd have to say that I would listen to this more often than those above...horrid I know...but sometimes, when you've been on both sides and know why they said such things...it makes it kinda hard to decide what to do till it's too late...
