PHYSICAL
Name: Relana Sahira
Age: 18
Original Species: Human
Desired Species Result: Blue Tang merfolk (anthropomorphic)
Ethnicity: Irish (Caucasian)

Appearance: Relana is 5’5 with emerald green hair and big, dark brown eyes. She dyed her hair green a few months ago because "it reminds me of my heritage as a child from the Emerald Isle." Relana is relatively pale because she’s of Irish descent (not to mention she doesn’t like getting into the sun too much as a result of her tendency to get sunburned on her face). She’s got very straight teeth as the result of six years’ worth of orthodontics; for that reason, she loves to smile. She’s somewhat thin (all thanks to losing weight when she was 15; she was considered quite chunky as a child), but still has curves.

MENTAL/EMOTIONAL
Personality: Relana is very friendly and outgoing. She’s curious to a fault; Relana gets in trouble sometimes by sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong. She acts as a mediator in arguments; she can deflate most confrontations with ease. She loves to help others, but she can tell when she’s being used (which happens quite a lot). She has a very wide range of humor; she can find something funny in everyday things. She’s also kind of a goof, so she can make others laugh very easily. Clutz was one of Relana’s nicknames as a child; she’s very clumsy and tends to drop things (hence her cell phones not lasting too long).

Strengths: Her compassion, strong will, her ability to make friends very quickly, and her tolerance

Flaws: Her conscience, allergies, and daydreaming too much.

Interest/Hobbies: Drawing, singing, musical instruments, and making jewelry.

Likes/Dislikes:
Likes: The ocean, animals, music, the arts, the moon, learning about different cultures, Christianity, cooking, and her heritage.
Dislikes: Bullies, mean people, yaoi/yuri, discriminatory people, her cell phone breaking, unjustified punishments, spiders, people who call Christians "Jesus Freaks", ignorance, and the smell of alcohol.

History: She was born on November 18th, 1989. Relana was raised in Ireland, so she has a natural Irish accent (she’s also found she can imitate a British, American, and Middle-Eastern accent). Her friends are many, both in Ireland and around the world. She's always been a daydreamer, getting in trouble for staring into the clouds. She knows Gaelic and speaks it fluently; when she gets angry, she tends to speak in Gaelic. She's interested in the arts as well as music, but she's always wanted to work in the health care business. An unrelated passion of hers are the merfolk; she's been enthralled ever since she was a child. She’s always dreamed about living underwater to witness the "true wonders of the sea." Relana feels as if she has a deep connection with the ocean, but cannot fully understand its secrets. The ebb and flow of the tides to her seem like a message from the deep—yet, she cannot understand it. The reason behind her thinking stems from a strange incident that occurred two years ago. At a family trip to the beach, Relana decided to walk down the misty beach early one morning, alone. Relana, who was collecting seashells, noticed a mysterious, small stone that washed ashore. The young girl approached the stone curiously, noticing it was glistening brightly in the foggy morn. The stone, elliptical in shape, was a sleek black; it felt very smooth and eerily cold. Several Celtic runes adorned the small stone, but one rune in particular interested her. Relana had studied ancient Celtic runes in her free time; she noticed that the most prominent one of all was the one in the center—the rune of transformation. She kept the stone and put it on a leather string, wearing it like a choker. She never takes it off, for she feels as if she was destined to have it. She's nearsighted, so that sometimes poses a problem for her. She wears contacts and will occasionally wear her glasses. She always loves a good book to read, especially before going to sleep. A bad habit of hers is drawing in class; when she gets bored, she finds herself doodling on her notes as her teachers drawl on. She was brought up with a loving family that raised her as a Methodist. She loves learning about new cultures. Relana listens to a variety of music; her favorite genres are rock, metal, Celtic, world, techno, yoga/meditative, and dance. Relana’s mood can depend on what she listens to—for example, if she listens to downbeat, meditative songs, chances are that she’ll be very calm and distant. However, should she listen to upbeat songs, she’ll become quite energetic and inspirational. A strange habit of hers is to sleep with the Bible at her side—she had a terrifying dream of a demon coming to get her while she slept. So, she sleeps with the Bible close to her, finding solace in the ancient text. Her favorite animal of all is the blue tang. She feels as if she can relate with the playful nature of the tropical fish as well as admire its beauty. It is also known as a curious fish, which is quite accurate of Relana’s personality. In fact, one of her "sweet 16" gifts was the ownership of a blue tang at the aquarium. She decided to call the tang "Báisteach", or "rain".

Family: Her family is mostly from Ireland, but she has a few American, Italian, and Scottish relatives. She has a mother, father, and a brother in her immediate family. Her mother’s name is Anna Sahira, her father is Isaac Sahira, and her brother is Will Sahira.

Arrival: Relana was given an invitation to the resort for a "Health Occupational Students" conference, in which Relana would get credit as serving in the health care field added to her resume. Relana took this opportunity as the only chance she would get to see America; she was interested in their mixed culture, not to mention that she could perhaps see a few of her friends for the first time. She found out that a good friend of hers from America was also going the same resort at the same time, but for a family trip.
