Batman lept on top of a tall building looking down he scanned the area of Gotham, he was looking for somthing....someone.
He shot a his rappel batarang and leapt across to the next building. It had been quiet in Gotham the past couple nights...this always made him nervouse, it usually meant somthing big was comming and he wanted to be ready for it.

Home sweet home, Gotham city. Now what to do, what would be tonight’s challenge. Salina had been back in the city less than a week and had thus far kept a relatively low profile, a jewelry store, and a home burglary, nothing big yet. But what was big anymore, everything seemed been there, stole that. She could crack any same in the city, and there hadn’t been a security system invented that could keep her from something. Catwoman the greatest thief in Gotham, maybe one of the best in the world. She had had plenty of sources on her recent tour of Europe. Catwoman smiled at the memories as she leapt from the window of her penthouse apartment, using her wip to swing to a nearby roof top. So what would it be tonight, museum, she sighed, typical, bank vault, maybe, another sigh, she’d done out all, but still it was fun still even without new challenges. And at least she did it well. Salina had read in the paper earlier about a robbery that had taken place the night before, the idiots had drive their truck through the jewelry store window, loaded the back with loot, including an unopened safe, they were probably planning to pry it open later, amateurs. Some people, really, had no since of style, of finesse. The people who pulled off that jewelry store heist probably didn’t know the definition of the word. And of course they hadn’t made it a more than a few blocks before being stopped by the dark night. That’s what you get for having such total lack of skills. Even without batman the police would have caught them, people like that gave thieves a bad name. The thought of batman stayed in her head. It had been awhile since she’d seen him. Those encounters were always, interesting to say the least. Catwoman continued from roof to roof, still unsure of what her plans would be for the evening, waiting for inspiration maybe.

Batman caught a shadow of movement on the rooftop ahead of him...most people would have shrugged their shoulder and thought it was just a bird or somthing....but Batmans trained eye knew better.....he wasnt sure what it was..it was too far for him to tell from his vantage point...he decided to find out.
He swung out on his line and landed neatly and silently where he had seen the shadow, the night air was still.... his muscles tensed preparing himself for what ever might pop out from the shadows.

As she leapt from roof top to roof top she spotted an illuminated billboard. Hello inspiration. It was an add for an art exhibit at the Gotham art museum, art featuring cats. From antiquity to modernism, from Europe to Far East. Hmm, well this was clique, but tempting. Though art theft really wasn't her style so much as jewels. She noticed a smaller section of the bill board which read "and don't miss the Jewels and Gems gallery on lone from the Smithsonian". Wow this was almost to purrfect. It was then that she realized the benefit of breaking into somewhere that she'd already broken into, she could spend less time casing and more time in action. The only thing to worry about was just how much they had updated their security sense her last visit. Hmm, surprises, challenge, this could be fun.

Batman finnaly caught up with the figure and regognized the familar female curves of Catwoman. the corner of his mouth twitched slightly it had been quite a long time since he had seen her around. he looked to where her cateyes were gazing and almost read her thoughts. he decided to linger in the shadows to watch her next move...though he was pretty sure he knew what they would be.

Catwoman was off at once, headed in the direction of the museum. She watched it from an adjacent room. Alright, she thought trying to remember the schematics of the place. Motion sensors around all the objects inside, an alarm goes off the interior goes into lockdown like a giant cage. So it was either figure out how to disarm the alarms, or, find a way to disable emotion sensors. Both were doable, but which would be more fun. Well she'd figure it out on the way. For now she knew well enough how to get in, skylight. The center of the roof was all skylights, so that there would be enough natural light, but not enough to harm any art work. These were not armed with alarms from what she remembered, but the between the roof and the floor was a fairly decent drop. Wouldn't be a problem. getting out again would be the tricky part. Using her clawed gloves she cut out a small entrance through the glass, carefully she removed it. Then peered inside. A maintenance latter a good distance on the side, leap to there without knocking it over, clime down. Seemed easy enough, Catwoman could have probably managed a freefall, but that would have been louder. She leapt down into the museum towards the a latter, using her whip to hook on to the side, and swing towards it. The latter wobbled dangerously as if it would tip over to the right, but as Catwoman swung around beneath it and landed in it from the left it swayed back, and eventually steadied. Catwoman sighed and scampered down, and stepped into the shadows, just in time, as a guard came by to check on the notice. She waited until his back was turned the came from behind him, knocking him unconscious, she dragged his limp body to the corner where it wouldn’t be seen easily by the other guards. She then relieved him off his keys and turned off his radio, so the other guards wouldn’t get suspicious as quickly if he didn’t answer a call. Now to work.

Batman decided to take this moment and stop the cat in her tracks...before she did anymore damage. he swooped in and landed neatly behind her.
"In Gotham for less than a minuet and you are already up to your old tricks Catwoman" he said cooly.

"Let me guess, you were out of cat toys, and all the markets were closed?"
Batgirl grinned dropping down beside The Dark Knight, Batrangs held at ready. feeling the steady gaze of Batmans eyes on her neck, she turned her hed and tryed to look more confident then she felt, "Hey you need backup too!" was her poor defence.

"You know they say if you are going to surprise a cat from behind you should watchout for the tail," sid Catwoman as she wirled, whip in hand. With lightening speed she wrapted the whip around batman's leg tripping him so he would fall into his female protege. Not waisting an instanst she was off, hand spranging across the room to make herself a harder target for any batarings that might come her way. Another god thing about about know the security of a place was knowing how to use it to your own adavage. Like most modern security gotham museum focused on containment, keeping theives in if they tried to take anything instead of of out all together. This she could actually use to her avantage, she grabbed a golden Bast statue out of a display, intentionally to trigure an alarm because she knew it would seal off this wing of the building. As soon as the statue was in her hand she bolted for the entrance, sliding out onder underneath an closing security gate.

Batman was taken aback...he had forgotten how quick she was....it might be possible she was even quicker than before, he picked himself up off the ground and glared ice daggers at Batgirl.
"I dont recall asking for your help this time!" he said sternly then looked to see as Catwoman slipped under the closing security gate. he frowned deeply knowing her little adventure was not complete yet..he had to stop her.

Now to just get out of here and avoid the guards, thought Salena. Sad that she only got one thing, but better than getting caught. Still Batman had showed up a bit to quickly for her taste, ruining her fun. Handsome or not she didn't like seeing him so early on. She must be so preditible by now. Hmm, so hitting the museum again was out for a while. So new MO later, but for now escape. Good thing she still had the guards keys to lit herself out the front, too bad she lacked a get away car. Oh well, foot it was for now.

Robin boy wonder suddenly jumped in front of Catwoman...Batman had told him to wait outside..at first he had been upset that he would miss the action...but now he could not have been happier...he twirled his staff above his head.
"Thats far enough Catwoman!" he said in his high voice...he hated the way his voice still sounded like a child. he narrowed his eyes at her and suddenly catapolted him self toward her and snatched the vase from her hands. and then landing about 3 feet behind her...he spun around preparing himself for her attack.

"Silly bird never learned not to mess with Cats," she said cooly, "your own fault if you get scratched," she cracked her whip, before lunging into an attack. Though she new she couldn't stay long fighting as Batman and the mouse with wings were bound to get out of museum someway and cause her trouble, not to mention the fact that that alarm would summon half the police in Gothum. "don't you people having any murderers to stop or somthing," she asked drying as he they fought. Ok sirens, time to go, Catwoman leapt onto the roof of a passing car, "bye bye bridy," she called, before leaping to another car as it rounded a corner.

Robin fought as hard as he could but he was just not as strong as the cat like woman his arm got too close to her claws as she made her final swipe at him and he fell back watching her as she caught the car...he winced in pain from the cuts but managed to throw a batarang at her...more in frusteration then aim.

Batgirls face dropped and she lowered her head and winced, she hated when Batman was right, true he hadn't asked for her help, but she was sort of his partner and Robins.
"I-i'm sorry," Batgirl thought her voice sounded rather small. "maybe we can, stil catch her??" She hoped, but knew it was a foolish hope, and decided to consentrate on following orders and helping her and Batman get out.
