Gameplay and stories aside, I've noticed as I've looked at art and fmv's from Final Fantasy XII that X actually looks much better (FMV-wise) than XII does. Especially when it comes to hair. I abosolutely abhor Ashe's hair. It definatly looks like a step backwards to me. The colors seem faded and pale in comparison to X's, and the areas around the eyes especially seem a little messy. X in comparison looks a lot richer and vibrant. In your opinions, which is better graphics-wise?

Are you talking about the little cutscenes that are stuck everywhere? Or are you talking about the actual cinematics?

I actually thought the opening scene's graphics were remeiscnent of AC. Though what I've seen from the little cutscenes, it's like with X and DoC: Huge graphics jump that bothers the heck out of you.

(I always thought 'FMV' stood for 'fan-made music video' o_o;; *feels backward*)

I think graphics for Dirge looked amazing. Those were a leap forward. XII seems... pasty. O.o If that makes sense. I think they tried to use something called pastels or something to make things look smoother. I think the fault is really just in the 'whiter' colors they used then going with richer hues. And like I said, in any scene be it a normal cutscene or an FMV, the hair just looks horrible.

FMV I think stands for Full Motion Video o.o But I'm not sure. Maybe I'm just spouting crap out my arse. X__X

Yeah, the hair is kinda hideous (from what I've seen of the cutscenes...as in the little ones). They also went for a whole new look, did you notice? The faces are so much...different. It's easier to see in the profiles.

Blah! Dirge cutscenes graphics drive me insane! Sure, the cinematics make me salivate like a fangirl (*cough* ninja ), but the in-game stuff was so...crude. -_-

But I digress...

I mean, come on! every game has to have a problem in looks!

7's was the poligonated graphics
8's was the dressing like a fashion fest

X's graphics literally stunned me when I watched it, the opening FMV with Tidus drove me to silence.

I prefer IX's FMV's even to 10's but XII is gorgeous Kyou I dont see what your talking about it... Saddly sweatdrop

Well we know I love IX! LOL.

I think the FMV's from IX are the most action packed certainly.

Yeah, IX = Action packed

And the backgrounds and stuff on XII are amazing, its just the humans that don't look good to me.

Animus - It looks different because they tried to make the faces less asian-looking.

Well...they're kinda less Asian...Who the Hell knows what they look like now...

Larsa and Vayne almost have Asian eyes. But that's just the impression I got from the scan of them. o_o;;
