[Continuation of Previous RP]
Start of RP: The Hollowed Fountain
Continuation #1: The Office/Main Desk

Handing a suitcase to Glacus, Christopher replied, "Sure. Just hold onto that one for me, will you?"

Chris opened the door to his cabin and motioned Glacus inside. Following right behind him, Christopher put his suitcase and cooler on the floor next to the couch. He noticed the pile of wood stacked by the fireplace and grinned. Tonight was a perfect night for a fire. Chris strode over to the logs and placed them into the fireplace. He then turned on the gas and grabbed the pack of matches off the mantle, striking one aflame and throwing it in.

Flames immediately shot out from every which way and the fire was soon roaring. Christopher's grin grew as he closed his eyes and took in the aroma of the burning wood. He soon turned back to Glacus and asked, "So have you eaten yet? If not, I have food I can prepare."

Wandering over to the cooler filled with meat, Christopher walked into the open kitchen area of his cabin and opened it up to view the contents. There were quite a few possibilities: Sirloin, pork ribs, chicken, venison, shrimp, trout. All the selections look good. However, he showed the various selections to his friend to see if he wanted anything.

"Oh by the way," Christopher began out of the blue, "How was that Lacuna Coil concert? And have you still been having those dreams?"

”No, are you sure you don’t mind? ”He asked and carefully set Chris’s suitcase down next to his other one. “Anything you want I really have no preference.”
“It was amazing” Glacus pointed to his slowly drying shirt with the band members on it. "I got all kinds of stuff and I got all of my Cd’s signed by them.” “They probably know me by name now!” When Chris addressed the other issue Glacus closed the door, went to the windows and looked out and a very, low voice, answered “Yes… I have”.

“I know you will think this absurd but my father has impeccable hearing, and I’m sure if he found out about this it would not be good at all… tomorrow when we get away from here, we’ll talk about okay? You really wouldn’t wan to get into a discussion like that and find either my father or Minna at your door would you?”

Christopher raised an eyebrow at his friend. While he pulled out two frying pans from his suitcase and a bottle of olive oil from a bag of cooking supplies he brought, Chris commented in a light hearted sarcastic manner, "So you mean to tell me your dad could hear me scratching my a** even though he's all the way across the other side of the resort... He should have been a K-9 for the police force."

Chris poured some olive oil into one pan, enough to cover the bottom, and then plopped a couple fish inside of it to cook. He then handed the bag of spices and cooking supplies to Glacus, telling him, "Pick your spices you want for your fish."

While his friend did that, Christopher prepped his steak. He licked his lips as he removed if from its package and placed it in the second frying pan. It was an amazing cut of sirloin and beef to say the least. He hoped it would finish cooking soon. As he seasoned his steak, Chris kept rubbing the area of his back, where his tailbone was, subconsciously. It just seemed to be aching really bad.

Christopher brushed it off, "I must have sat too long... Car rides do that to you."

'That and getting excited over that Minna girl didn't help,' added Christopher's mind.

Just as soon as he thought her name, Glacus had mentioned it with inpeccable timing. Chris turned bright red in the cheeks once more and kept his gaze away from his friend so Glacus couldn't see. "Anyway, what do you have in mind for tomorrow exactly? I do have to at least go shopping in the morning."

“Knowing him yes, and he probably should have been, supporting your theory of reincarnation that we argued on for fun last week.”

“What do you usually use? I only know spices for poultry and Meat, I’m non good with fish spices, so surprise me.” H answered, he didn’t now a thing about food preparation as a whole.

Absently mindedly, Glacus itched the side of his neck, “I know what you mean, I had that feeling earlier, but the seat belt rubbing up against my neck all day is what is bothering me now.” Glacus completely lied about the Seat thing; he never usually felt it at all.

He noted Chris’s reddening face when he mention Minna so he let that drop. He knew better then that. He shouldn’t have said anything about her.

“Well my goals for tomorrow is to either go to the Tarhelian, or the beach, we brought everything at once here. So we wouldn’t have to get caught in the madness of people rushing in. But that’s another thing. There are a lot of vacancies at this resort, it’s weird. What do you think about it?” he asked
PostPosted: Wed Oct 11, 2006 12:42 am

"Not like I believe in reincarnation anyhow," Christopher commented. "It's just fun to contemplate certain things even if I have no belief in them. And yeah, it was a pretty fun conversation."

An idea occured to Christopher as he stood over the stove. That night clerk, Minna, had to sit at the desk all night long. She would have no time to go out and eat. He felt it would be only proper to prepare something for her and bring it by later on once Glacus had left his company. Not to mention it gave him a motive for going back to see her. So, acting on the notion, Chris unwrapped another steak and plopped it into the pan.

Now came the decision of what to have as a side dish with the dinner. Considering there were no fries or a deep fryer, all of Christopher's choices were limited to the noodles he had brought with him. He went ahead and took the bag from Glacus since the other side dishes were in there as along with the spices. He sorted through and contemplated Pasta Roni's line of selections: Angel Hair Pasta with Herbs, Angel Hair Pasta with Parmesan Sauce, White Cheddar and Shells, and Fettucini Alfredo.

Chris immediately caved in and picked one close to his vice... the Angel Hair Pasta with Herbs. Measuring out the cups of water and milk for the Pasta Roni concotion, Christopher continued to talk, "I hate seatbelts these days. They just tend to get tighter and tighter, locking you into place. I don't know why the designers of cars decided to add that little feature but I personally see more accidents occuring with those kinds of belts than I do preventing them. I mean, I've come close to practically being choked by those damn things before because they keep tightening if you so much move back a little!"

Remembering that he needed to season Glacus's fish, Christopher just sprinkled some seasoning salt on his friend's dinner since that usually worked best. Then he thought, 'Maybe I should add some lemon to it.'

Chris spotted a fresh lemon in a bowl of fruit placed out on the counter. He went ahead and grabbed it up, using a knife to chop it in two. Handling one of the lemon halves, Christopher squeezed the juice out of the sour fruit and maranaded the fish with it. He turned to Glacus and said, "I hope you enjoy this."

He turned away from the stove for a moment as his friend shared his propositions for tomorrow. Christopher replied, "Well, you definitely have a lot of ideas in mind for tomorrow but what do you which one do you want to do? I'm fine either way. You make the call of this one. Either the Tarhelian River or we check out the forest and beach. But if we visit the river, we'll have to be back before 6pm because Boon is suppose to stop by tomorrow and have dinner with me. Man, it's been so long since I've last seen him."

"I also heard that Mew is going to be coming to the Outer Banks later this summer," Christopher mentioned, his hopes rising as he loved that band and really wanted to just finally see them in concert. "I found out they were doing a US tour this year and I'm just really excited. You have no idea how much I've been looking forward to that!"

Chris almost didn't hear the rest of Glacus's words. But when he did, he shrugged it off and said, "Well, maybe it's been a slow beginning to the season. Besides, they are kind of on the outskirts of the woods despite being on a main road. But that's why I'm glad either of us chose to come here. It's isolated from the typical city and vacation life. It's a lot more organic so to speak."

((Curses! you took my concert idea!!! Grr, oh well I have an idea I’ll add it in now.))

“That's fine, I want to see the river tomorrow personally, especially because my parent’s won’t want to come, and Augusta despises the forest, and I have an excuse not to go shopping at an outlet.” He laughed, Chris seriously had a vendetta against seat belts.

“I can imagine” a light of realization hit Glacus and he asked, “Are they playing in the Euro-American Odyssey Festival in Avon?” About 20 bands he knew of where going to be playing there, of all different Genres.

”I guess so, but only three families?” he anwsered

Christopher nodded in agreement, finalizing the plans by saying, "It's settled then. We shall go check out the river tomorrow. I wonder if they have any hokey tourist shops nearby trying to sell the legends of the river. Probably have a chain of them alongside each other."

Flipping the fish and steaks, Chris took in a whiff of the aroma and grinned delightfully. It was all smelling rather surperb. Just only a few minutes longer and it would be ready. As he continued to cook, he told Glacus, "Just give it time. I'm sure by next week, the place will be filled up. Besides, you do have to admit it's kind of nice without all the distractions of other guests."

"And yes, I do believe that Mew will be playing in that festival," Christopher exclaimed excitedly. "Do you want to go? It seems like it'll be a cool show."

Talking about Mew put Chris in a mood to listen to their music. He pulled out his laptop, opened his directory filled with MP3s and selected a Mew song at random. Christopher smiled when he heard the melody of Special fill the room. Not being able to help himself, Chris danced along to the song a little as he cooked up the dinner, singing along with the song in a long key of voice.

Not long after, the dinner was ready. Chris fetched two plates, placed the contents of the dinner onto them, and set them on the table. One plate was filled with fish maranaded in lemon and seasoned with seasoning salt while the other had a medium rear steak plopped on it. Christopher then dished out spoonfuls of the parmesan flavored pasta.

Chris, looking rather proud with how the meals turned out, said, "Well... dinner is served. Would you care for anything to drink?"

“Probably, yeah I hope so, I was kind of hoping to get away from people I knew especially after the swimming fiasco.” He said pointing to his hair “I liked having a name nobody recognized, until they dyed my hair now people shout ‘we are!’ whenever the see me in P.A. So I hope that I don’t know maybe even find a…”

“Yeah there are bands from everywhere, Italy luckily for me has Lacuna Coil attending, they’ll probably get sick of seeing me, and I heard that there a ton of Norwegian and finish bands, unfortunately H.I.M. is part of the lineup.”

“It looks awesome! The only thing I can make is spaghetti, other then that… it cannot be called food. Do you have any soda? I haven’t had since last summer, you’re not allowed to drink it while on the team.” He answered. He cut his fish and took a bite probably one of the better fish he’d ever had. Although something about the spices were different… Not in a bad way just different…
PostPosted: Fri Oct 13, 2006 6:50 pm

"Sorry buddy but soda is a no can do," Christopher informed Glacus. "I didn't bring any up with me. I mainly worried about packing food and clothing. That and my film equipment. Will water do?"

Before his friend answered, Chris retrieved two bottles of Aquafina and set them on the table as he had a seat. Christopher immediately grabbed his fork and knife and cut into his steak on his plate. As he put a morsel of the delicious sirloin in his mouth, he suckled and savored the flavors as he chewed. It was one of the better steaks he had made in a long time. "So anyway, what exactly sparked your vendetta against H.I.M anyhow? I mean, granted, I don't much care for them myself but I am curious to hear your reasons."

Chris wrapped some of the pasta around his fork and placed it into his mouth. He couldn't help but grin. Dinner turned out quite wonderful. Suddenly though, Christopher stood and went toward his laptop once more. This time, he selected a playlist of Lacuna Coil's music figuring Glacus would appreciate it. Chris sat back down once more and said, "You got me really hooked on these guys. By the way, how much have you worn out your Karmacode CD by now?"

"Sure!” Somehow water sound really good right now, the pastai was really spicy…

"You’ve heard of that whole, ‘woe is me, I come from a middle class white family who gave me everything I wanted, but now that I’m in high school I’m bi and I have emotion issues and I’m anorexic. I wear ungodly tight jeans and I have hair covering half of my face.’ In fewer words the emo-psuedo Goth archetype, and the lead singer thinks he is Satan. H.I.M. stands for ‘His Infernal Majesty’ that crap is choking the airways and you can’t hear a decent song by the other Norwegian and finish bands.” Glaucus took a deep breath and calmed down.

“Nope never, that’s a CD I could play 24 seven and never get sick of it.” He said and absent-mindedly scratched his neck.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 13, 2006 7:28 pm

Christopher coughed a few times as he was in midswallow while Glacus delivered his little rant on emos. After he cleared his throat, Chris couldn't help but continue to chuckle. Deciding to add to it, Christopher told his friend, "Reminds me of when one of my friends and I heard of HIM. We jokingly deemed them Heretics Into Masochism."

When Chris noticed Glacus itch at his neck, Christopher felt his tailbone ache again. For some reason, seeing his friend do this was causing that area of his back to act up a little more. He couldn't help but begin to rub his tailbone area once more. But he soon stopped and returned to eating his dinner.

"You know," Christopher started to speaking, inbetween bites of his meal, "The way you are about your Lacuna Coil CDs, it's like the equivalent of that weird little creature from that damn Lord of the Rings whose always saying 'My prec-i-ous...' What was that little b*****d's name again? Oh right, Golem!"

He laughed a little as he opened his bottle of Aquafina and drank from it.

“I believe that one. Lost in sacrilege!!!" Glaucus said singing a lyric from the Tristania song Heretique.
“Gollum? I don’t think so, I’ve never bitten anyone’s finger off for touching them… ”
Glaucus began to force a cough.. “GOULLUM GOULLUM!” Glaucus then answered “Heh, just kidding...”
He then Downed his enitre water bottle without breath and asked "So, what did you put on this fish? It is really good." He said, this time resisting scratching his neck again.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 13, 2006 7:53 pm

Christopher watched, a little shocked, as Glacus downed the entire bottle of Aquafina in mere seconds without taking one breath. Setting down his own water bottle, Chris asked in jest, "Thirsty much?"

"As for what I did with the fish," Christopher explained, "I simply sprinkled it with some seasoning salt and maranaded it with some lemon juice. That's all really. I'm glad you like it."

Picking up his utensils, Christopher cut another hunk or meat off the savory steak and shoveled it into his mouth. He continued to pound down piece after piece followed by the occassional forkful of pasta. Before he realized it, Chris had finished the entire plate of food and frowned, a little disappointed to see his tasty meal had been completely demolished. But he quickly rid of that and smiled as he looked back up to Glacus. "I guess I got a little carried away there, didn't I?"

Chris took his paper towel napkin and wiped his face off. He then took his plate over to the sink, set it inside, and seated himself once more. Christopher commented, "I hope your family won't be too p*ssed about you eating dinner with a perfect stranger in their eyes. You'll have to introduce me sometime so that way there will be no ripples in the water."

“Just a little” Glaucus said feeling embarrassed.
“Well whatever you did it was good, but what about the pasta? That was also an interesting dish”

“Yeah maybe... Later we can ‘ chance to meet in the town or somewhere’ and act like we’ve never seen each other or something.” Glaucus figured that would work best. “Well I could tell them I know you from college or something.” He said hopefully, it’s not though Glaucus enjoyed deceiving his parents, anymore, he just didn’t agree with their vindictivity
