I've discovered a program called VASSAL which should make combat a great deal easier. It's essentially a board with pieces that everyone can modify. I need to do some editing, but most of the work has already been done for me in an RPG mod.

Basically what I need from all of you are images that you'd like for your "piece" on the board. If you just want me to use your avi as is, that's fine.. let me know and I'll do that. But if you'd like a slightly different avi (weapon drawn, for example) or another image entirely (maybe some art of your character?) you can do that.

The end result will have to be 48 pixels by 48 pixels. I've found that the Gaia avis shrink down rather easily to 48x48, which I can do for you if you provide the image...



So let me know what you'd like to do for your specific character. Post here, send me an email, whatever works. I think this will help with combat a lot and speed things up.

Don't worry about that. When I decide to use it, I'll provide step-by-step instructions, along with the custom module you'll need to play.

This is what it will look like... recognize this battle? This is what you might've seen if I'd gotten VASSAL up and running for the first big battle.

Finally got it running. Even left a few hours' margin of error. smile
