I hate stupid people... Ok, me and my friend Ray were sitting in the Cub Foods parking lot with his '76 Vette making some adjustments on his carburator when this little white kid in a riced out civic drives up and comes over to us.

Kid: *pointing right at the carb* What's that?
Me: It's a fuel delivery device.
Kid: You mean a throttle-body?
Me: No, it's a carburator.
Kid: So where is the throttle-body?
Me: There isn't one.
Kid: What do you mean? All cars have to have a throttle-body.
Me: This is a '76 kid, it doesn't have efi.
Kid: Right...
Me: Why don't you run along now before you hurt yourself...

We finish adjusting his carb and start the engine up and let it idle for a while. Meanwhile, a group of 4 girls comes up and starts looking at the engine. When one of the girls leans in to get a closer look, Ray being the d**k he is revs the engine up and makes the car shake. She jumps and hits her head on the hood and we both start laughing. (The girls around here aren't really used to seeing American Muscle, they're all used to seeing little 4 bangers with fart cannons on them.)

Do any of you have any ricer / stupid car people stories to tell?

I think that potaotes can also be fast.
There was this one night I was out with my buddies, we pulled out of the parking garage in his little hatchback, a plain all around economy car. So whats meets us, is a huge Nissan Hardbody v8. The Potato behind the wheel flashed his lights at us and waved us on, after we past the Hardbody spun its wheel's after us, and at the robots spun its wheels once more. The truck wasn't too bad I guess, though it had neons and some other frilly junk.
My friends economy car was no match for the Nissan, yet the driver still wanted to race o_O

Point is that Sometimes Ricers have fast cars/trucks. Its all about the attitue. The driver of the hardboy was a Potato...

i was with my moms friend and we were in this huge truck, like 4 ft off the ground w/ a very loud exaust.... we were sitting eating sub-way (car is off) when this lady comes over and says- "there are some birds under your truck, before you pull out can you get out and shoo them away" Now we just look at eachother and start cracking up. The lady was confused at wy we were laphing... She got angry ang shooed the birds away... we were still cracking up.

I got another one-

I was with my dad in his car. he was pumping gas and i was hanging out talking to him. Then my cell rings and i answere it... All of a sudden the lady at the gas station starts sprinting towards me yelling "Are you Crazy, Your going to blow us all up" Now im getting pritty scared cuz this lady is like 400 pounds.... she grabs my cell phone and flips it off. Later on my girlfriend thought a hung up on her... she almost dumped me.... almost, i saved it, lol

ricer stories eh....i was at a light in town and i had just seen the entire police force chasing a pontiac GTO the was going in the other direction a couple minutes back so i knew the roads were clean where i was at. so some punk in a ford escort pulls up with like the rap music going and everything and one of those rice mufflers on, sitting there reving his engine, so we eyed up and rev'd a couple times and when the light turned green i just dropped it and left him way behind, the best part was i was in my moms GMC saffari.....you've really gotta suck to lose to one of those things.

then theres just the dumbasses at my school who have the cheap plastic spinners from wal-mart and sit outside looking at their engines with their friends and stuff. theres also some kid with a volkswagen bora, and at lunch he sits the rev'ing it for about five minutes in the parking space and glares at anyone that looks at him. yea well i think thats it for now.

1997 Ford F250 SuperDuty, decked out 7.3L Powerstroke, and 31" A/T radials.

VS.

---- Civic CRX, Fart pipe and glasspacks, and 20" chrome rims.

Sitting at a light, this thing rolled up beside us, and revved, stared me down, and was pushing the light.

So, we unleashed 300hp and 700ft/lbs. of hell on the ******** as we smoked ALL FOUR tires off the light.

I got pulled over today and got a ticket for doing 68 in a 65.

The cop walks up and says my brake light is out which I didn't really care about but then he asks me to raise my window a little and he starts ripping my factory tinting out. I'm like "WHAT THE ******** ARE YOU DOING?!?!?!?!" He said that after market tinting is illegal and that I could get a citation for it. I told him that it was factory tint and even if it wasn't, with the tinting percentage it's perfectly legal and then he got all pissed off and ripped some more of it off and handed me a ticket. 3 points and $114 for 3 over the limit! What an a*****e. I suppose it's a good thing that the judge that's presiding is an old friend of the family so hopefully he'll tear that cop a new one. Oh and to add on to it, the guy tailed me for over a mile before flipping his lights on.

For those of you who haven't seen my tinting, it's hardly noticable.

I must say it isn't cool that the cop just started ripping off the tinting.
He should have at very least told you to have your tinting removed if it was against the law. Perhaps just given you a warning if it was a problem. Just ripping it off with out warning, is in my opinion vandalisim, or violation of personal property or something.
However man, I gotta be honest. It sounds like you would be some spoiled rich kid, if you used a family friend to get out of a ticket and a cop (who was doing his job) in trouble.

It does sound like the cop had some sort of spite against you if you where tickted for just going a few miles over the limit, and all that. But still, you can't be sure of that. I don't think what the cop did warrents disaplinary action. Perhaps a stern talking to though.

I'm not spoiled and certainly not rich. My parents don't buy me anything, if I want something, I have to save up and buy it with my own money (which is the way it should be with all kids). I've had 2 tickets before for actually speeding and I payed them, with my own money. This one it just happens that the judge is an old friend and it's a bs ticket.

I said it would sound like it. Even if it is a bs ticket, you are still using a friend to get out of it.
Anyway, good luck with that, I probably would use the friend if I was in the same situation. $114 bucks is like half my salary sweatdrop

you think your safari vs escort was bad....try my moms van(i was useing it to pick up car parts) which is a 1998 gmc savana....the big mofo....vs a riced out probe gt. funny as hell to see the look on his face when he got outran by a van. also my best friends frankenstein sleeper 1985 RANGER!!! thing is a long bed standard cab ranger with a 302 with heads, cam, rockers, valve springs, forged crank and diamond coated forged dish pistons to make use of the paxton novi 2000 pro supercharger and custom intercooler. has tiny little quite mufflers, cats, and resonators to keep the noise down...now thats a sleeper. its currently making 439 rwhp but is out of commision for the moment due to explodeing the diff. we are putting in a 8.8 rear end next weekend to see how long it will last. here is a picture from last summer

User Image

only differences now are that the rear end isnt jacked up so high and that it has dual pipes. also it has a t-56 6 speed out of a 99 viper.

back to the rice...there is a kid in town who races a geo metro at auto cross events. its soooooo retarded. he takes forever to get around the course and still cant handle for s**t.

man thats friggin awesome, the ford 302's have some nice possibilitys. what was the rear end before? lol when some people convert their mustangs from 2.3L to 5.0L they leave the 2.3L 7.5 rear end on to cut costs and because it has 3.23's for manual or 3.55's for auto, at least this is what im lead to believe. but your friends ranger would be a perfect example of why you shouldnt.

A couple weeks ago me and a group of people were standing in the Cub Foods parking lot talking when this kid in a red metro drives in. He didn't come over by us though, he stopped about 20 yards away, revved the engine up and dumped the clutch. His tires squeaked a little and he drove away. Get this now, about 5 minutes later he came back, parked his car, and was walking around the parking lot checking to see if he left any black marks. Everyone started laughing so he got in his car and left. I haven't seen him since.
