Do you mean like, is there a limit to how much stuff anyone can put into a car? I wouldn't know about that as I'm not a car fan myself.

I always assumed that if a car would get me where I want to go, then it is an OK car by me - except no grandpa cars.

I'd put the fuzzy d20's on the mirror, get a computer guidence system, full internet capabilty, decent sterio system, and a licence plate like 'DND'NRD' Oh, wait that wasn't the question (but there actually are fuzzy d20s like that). I think the problem is that. I actually agree on a car that will work and nor breakdown/kill me/blow up/make me cry/cost alot of money, so that I can not cry/live/live(again)/Be manly/live(a third time) with money.

Now that the poll is up I think I should say it's a touch call. It depends on the teenager as some are actually responsable so, it wouldn't be fair to say no when there's someone out there who deserves a lil credit. You know?

In response to the poll - yes teenagers (of both genders) should have cars if they wantm but they should not be nice cars, or fast cars, but beat up old jaloppies.

I agree with you SK. A car for a teen should be safe and mildly cool so they don't get embarrassed in front of their friends. Hey! Did yer wife make a monkey out of you again? lol Sorry, couldn't resist the way yer avi looks right now... mrgreen

hypnocrown Hey! Did yer wife make a monkey out of you again? lol Sorry, couldn't resist the way yer avi looks right now... mrgreen I would NOT dress his ava like that! He did that all on his own. rolleyes
As for the topic, I neve had a car until I was 21 (and even at that it was my grandma's old one I was given as a b-day present). I would have loved to have had a car of my own, but I know plenty of teenagers who don't have one.
I think that if the teenager is able to keep good grades, and his/her parents can afford a car and insurance or the teenager is able to hold a job to pay for the car and insurance then maybe. But do I think that a teenager should just be hannded a car? No.

When I was in High School a girl told a funny story: For her sixteenth birthday she opened a small box and it contained a key attached to a key ring shaped like a car. Overjoyed she yelped "A new car?" Her parents answered: "No, we just thought you were old enough for your own key to the house."
Oh, the cruelty. I wonder if it was true.

Ouch. At least I have my own housekey. From the perspective as a teenager (ah, but which age, I consider teenager anything followed by 'teen') anyway, I consider it a WANT not an actual NEED nor usually POSSIBILITY unless your father is an AUTO MECHANIC. THANK YOU. and thus my capslock is broken. Yes, fuzzy d20s will be mine when I get a car...

If not a car, then a motorcycle perhaps (tongue in cheek there)

But a motorcycle can't have fuzzy d20s... crying I would also trust a teen more with a car than a motorcycle. Have you ever seen them with motocross? When not a tourneys, they annoy neighborhoods.

At least with motorcycles they only hurt themselves and not busses full of nuns and orphans.

Cars can be a lot of trouble. I would get a bicycle if I had anywhere to keep one.
