(Hi, I'm new here. My name is Akita, and I'm a psy-vamp.)
I was just wondering, what do the rest of you think of "fang implants?"
I used to have a really nice set of natural fangs, but my orthodontist shaved them down a few years ago. I don't need them to feed or anything, but I feel like a part of me has been taken away. I'm 18, and I could most likely afford implants...do you think I should replace what that idiot took from me, or just leave it alone?

Akita_Kawatachi I used to have a really nice set of natural fangs, but my orthodontist shaved them down a few years ago. That's mean! Why did he do it?! You should have bite him! Hard! With your fangs! scream grr! Ok, as for the question in question (I'm so clever!!!! xd HAHAHAAahahaa...heh... *ahem* stare sweatdrop ) Personally, I'm against one changing their natural appearence, but since you were raped of yours.... come to think of it, I don't have an answer for the question.... sweatdrop But here's some real advice: Don't EVER take a chance with your personal safety or health for the sake of looks. To me, that is material and superficial shallowness, which is disgusting in my opinion.

I really don't think its that good of a feeling to bite yourself while eating a hamburger of something. (Yea that would be something that would happen to me.) Dnash makes some pretty awesome fangs... A bit pricey, but definately worth it. Teeth By Dnash

I currently have a fairly comfortable set of snap-on caps, but they feel kind of unnatural after having a set that fit perfectly in line with the others--that's also why I'd want the implant rather than getting a more permanent cap. I'd just really like to have fangs again...
I probably won't ever do it, and I'd have to think about it for a long time before committing to the procedure, I just wanted to see what others who might...understand...would feel about it.

He... he took your fangs? That's horrible! *cries*
If I had the money, and I still missed them, I'd get the fang implants. 3nodding

If you want them back permanently, you should. That is my opinion.

Well here is my thought on this for you man. My family ha a history of soft teeth and bad teeth, As it stands now, my teeth look like crap. They are falling apart. I will have to have dentures really soon. like before I am 25 soon. So the whole implants thing would not work for me. Cause I had wanted to get a set of surgical stainless steel fangs surgically implanted. As I no longer have my fangs. which were extended beyond what normal human canines were. Me being a Vampire. I am highly self conscoius about my teeth and not having my fangs. SO Iam all for it.

Accually a few years back I was really into/thinking about body modification. I was accually gonna get my ears pointed, fang implants, tattoos... the works. I truly wanted to be "Vampire Kitten" and to this day I think about doing it still. My advice to you is, if you get a sense of who you are from it them go for it. If it makes you feel better, then go for it. But dont go overboard, get them back to what they once we're and thats all.

I have fake fangs myself, they are pretty good. They include something called theroplastic which when heated can mold to the shape of your canines. I wore mine for an entire day and when I took them out, I felt like I had phantom limbs. I kind of missed them in a way, because it felt strange having them out.

When I take mine off after wearing them for a while, I feel really odd without them.
