Pantheon Like many fantasy worlds, Astrodoth holds a large number of Gods that the people follow. This is the thread that explains such deities. The Six The Six is something you will hear frequently throughout your roleplaying. You may here, The Six Houses, Houses of the Six, The Temples of the Six, The Tome of the Six etc etc. All of these are refering to six gods, and goddesses who make up the Human religion. But not just humans follow this religion. There are non-human species who follow it as well. Such as Orcs, Elves, some Dwarves, and most mixed cultures. The Six are: Fre'tana, Narxuel, Niragondo, Cuballa, Krimaria, and Jarakna. NOTE: All the Mythology here is told so by human, elven, dwarven, and Halfling myths. Only Mods can hear the original(not nessiscarily true)draconic myths razz

Jarakna God of the Moons and Night {Jar-aak-na} He is the god of The Moon and Night. Roguish people usually worship him, along with anyone worshiping Cuballa as a Patron Deity. His temples are usually Underground, perhaps having openable skylights for moolight to shine through. His clerics usually either paint their skin white, or stay out of the sun, allowing themselves to become pale. Many speak of the two moons of Astrodoth as the Eyes of Jarakna. This is partly because they slowly open and close, as if blinking every month. They say he spins around the world, his gaze shifting from place to place, able to see everything anyone does, at night. Jarakna's eyes, when he is painted on the walls of his temples, are depicted to glow, one red, one blue, and his eye lids to be side-ways. He is depicked as either a slender, short human, or a halfling. He is good friends with the Gods of Trickery and Halflings, as the trio seem to be depicted in many paintings together. Their worshipers are usually friendly with eachother, as well. Jarakna is part of The Six. His symbols are the two moons, the ruby, the sapphire, and black marble. Mythology In the Beginning of time, Cuballa created existence. To do this, he dispenced his power to create to being, often known to be Siblings. They were Krimaria and Jarakna; the spectrum of light. Though Jarakna is not truely the god of shadow and darkness, that subject is not much spoken of. Quickly though, the two gods began to notice their rivaled powers, and began to fight for dominance. They're battle continued in the Elemental Plane of Air, where Cuballa had built a huge flying castle via his mind. One side was built of black marble, and one side was built of white. Seemingly knowing of what they would do, the two had made haste to continue their battle in the structure, finally realizing their mistake soon after, when they noticed each side had been made specifically for them. Laying down their weapons, they agreed to share the time in each day, twenty-four hours for Night, and twenty-four hours for day.

Krimaria Goddes of the Suns and Day {Kree-mar-ee-a} Goddess of the Suns and Day, her followers are mostely paladins and clerics, or anyone who worships Cuballa as a Patron Deity. Her temples have large holes in the domed rooves, so that light can flow through in rays. Krimaria is half-sister to Jarakna, but no one knows how such a thing came to be. Most of her followers are human in nature, who are the biggest population. She teaches them to be happy, and shine like the sun in times of need. Many of her clerics dislike Jarakna's ways. Her eyes, like Jarakna's, have horrozantal eye lids. Her eyes shine bright, and any being to look at her becomes instantly blinded. She is said to be the most beautiful being to exist. Krimaria is part of The Six. Her symbols are the two suns, the diamond, white marble, and glass. Mythology Much like Jarakna, Krimaria was born directly from Cuballa. They used to have a gripping grudge on eachother, but soon enough they came to become like normal brother and sister. When Cuballa sought to plant the first seeds of existence, he called upon his first duaghter, Krimaria, to aid him in creating the first humans with her bright eyes and let him sculpt the first women from her figure. Much the same, Jarakna was the model for the first men. Over time the three became much the Elder Gods of the Pantheon, them being the first.

Darigandas God of Forge, Dwarves, and Earth {Dar-ee-gaan-daas} God of dwarves far and wide, this is the patron deity of litterally almost EVERY dwarf. He is the god of mining, brewery, and blacksmithing as well, each profession also usually paying heed to him, hoping for blessings. He is said to be kin to the gods of Frost and Fire, and hater of Grishnog. He is said to be the strongest god, also being the God of Strength. He forged the dwarves from his strength upon the land alone, crushing the earth and digging it up, making mountains. These mountains he smashed to make the first dwarves with his hammer, one side making the women, one side making the men. The dwarves are said to be, on an open field, some of the best war fighters in existence. Making their god Proud. Also, without telling his younger brothers, the God of the Dwarves created a darker, eviler version of his mortals, making them live with the Drow feep under ground. His symbols are the hammer, the ale mug, the dwarf, the anvil, and the axe. Mythology Darigandas was one of the faces of Cuballa, before he was split into even more entities than he already was. The Dwarven All-Father was the first of his other faces to lead the way out of his body, and to become their own entity. Cuballa quickly tried to retain them, but once the dwarf was out, his strength was unmatched, and Cuballa was detained himself, as his other faces left him. This process left many scars on the god of nature, but in the end it seemed to be for the best, as the New Ones helped greatly in The Order. Darigandas came to hate the evil face that had come from Cuballa, Grishnog, the Orc Lord, and seemingly, any time they get close to eachother for too long, the dwarf attacks Grishnog, the two beating eachother half out of existence. Though the dwarf has the obvious advantage, Grishnog's brutish toughness allows him to take the beating.

Marienna Goddess of the Elves and Archery {Mar-ee-en-a} Goddess of the Elves. She is sister to Marinaga, most of eachothers worshipers usually having tight bonds with each other, and even sometimes worshipping both goddesses. She is also the Patron Deity of Archery. Her clerics and temples usually teach the art of archery, and to the more advanced students, Zen archery; the form of battle that allows the archer to use their wisdom of anatomy to shoot pinpoint areas of their targets. Her symbols are the Arrow, the Bow, the Elf, and a Golden Leaf. Mythology Marienna, as all of the Patron Race Dieties, was yet another face that came from Cuballa. It is depicted that the God of the Dwarves had risen out of Cuballa by himself, and then, detaining the All-Father of Nature, helped the others out as well. Soon enough though, the Elf fell into line with the Dwarf, also coming to dislike--not hate--the orc lord. His intentions were too wrong hearted and brutish. So the Elf Goddess had joined forces with the God of the Dwarves, the Goddess of Wind, and later on, the mysterious entity known as the White Soul. All of the Race Deities claimed they saw a white figure slip away, out of Cuballa as they left him, but it was never confermed, until the being came back, to join forces with them. The White Soul's voice was a hiss, almost, but it was a calm, peaceful, woman's voice that spoke with it. Marienna taught her people to be caring and just, but never get into the affares of the other mortal peoples, for though she liked the other Gods, they say that she had much more an intament relationship with Nature, than the others. This is why the elves feel so peaceful, hidden in forests and in the wilderness.

Donnamiro Goddess of Halflings, thievery, and Luck {Don-a-mear-o} Goddess of the Halflings and thievery, her followers are usually thieves and Halflings of course, but many of Jarakna's followers pay heed to her as well, believing that she helps Jarakna in hiding them, in which she does. Donnamiro teaches her followers to enjoy the best luxuries they can have, enjoy life by the moment. Many halflings do such things, which is why a lot of them steal to get these luxuries. Her symbols are the Cloak Hiding a Dagger, a Pair of Smiling and Frowning Masks, Dice, and the Halfling. Mythology Donnamiro is the mystievious face that came from Cuballa. They say she never fully made it out, which is why she is so short. This bore the halfling race, making Donnamiro their Goddess. Her people, naturally, live in fields, just under the ground in beautiful abodes, if a bit small for humans. But most of her race lives in the cities with Humans, many using the busy city life as a cover to begin crime routines in, where there is already a lot of crime. However, the small halflings have little strength compared to Humans and their lot, but in turn, they are much more skilled in dexterity than almost any other race. Donnamiro herself is also a patron deity of Festivity, which may be why she enjoys teaching her followers to embrace the moment, to live on the edge a bit. Though not evil, for she is too casual and innocent played, Donnamiro was never accepted into the alliance of the 'Good Deities', and neither wanted to be. Like Cuballa, she was moreso Nuetral in thinking. But unlike Nature, she did what she wanted, not what she needed to do.

Grishnog God of Orcs, Savagery, and Rage {Gri-shh-nog} Grishnog, upon leaving Cubolla's body, quickly began to observe his fellows, so when he made his true intentions clear, he could know what they'd do, if anything. Though he was an Orc, Grishnog was not stupid, like many of his mortal worshippers were. He frequently faught with the troublesome Dwarf Lord, Darigandas, and even once had the Fire and Frost gods in a fude with him, at the same time. That time, however, he backed down. He would need to stay existent, for his people, after all. Grishnog's symbols are the Spear, the Orc, Emeralds, and the Tusk. Mythology The Orc God quickly plotted against his fellows when he got the chance, and quickly looked to alley himself with the Black Soul, who came to only him and the goddess of the Drow, to speak with. He appeared as a dark cloud, silent as the absense of sound itself. It told them Zssi'gori'gana, though arrogant and hostile, may converse with them, if they explained their intentions correctly. Saying this, the Black Soul also told them that they shouldn't think his followers, the Chromatic Dragons, would help the Drow or Orcs, for by nature, Zssi'gori'gana's followers would not follow such a command; something he encouraged them to to do. Knowing he and the Drow Lady were basically on their own for now, Grishnog tryed to make sure his people would have a good foothold in the society of mortals, but each time he tried, they would simply disband from lack of intellegence, or be cut down by the snotty humans.

Frogrost God of Frost, Blizzards, and Blue Blood Dwarves {Fro-grost} God of the Blizzards of the Great Strand, Frogrost commands the legions of Blue Blood Dwarves making their society in the frosty enviroment of Ezilkear. He is Brother to Darigandas and Elyan, and had, at several times, had fights with the God of Fire. Their eldest brother usually broke it up with an earthly shout, or simply by running over and batting them each with a fist. They both knew he was the God of Strength as well, but boy, were they never ready for such a hard hit. The three had ganged up on the Orc god, Grishnog, another time, when he was mouthing off again. They liked to do stuff like that, beat up the Orc god. They'd do it to the sneaky halfling too, if they could find her... if anyone could find her. They always sort of looked up at Cuballa, for he controled the tide of existence, though not the actual elements of Nature within such an existence. This posed a threat to everyone, if the god ever got too upset, that he'd make it so that existence would end... His symbols are the Glacier, Ice, the Blue Blood Dwarf, and the frozen fist. Mythology Upon the creation of the Worlds, Frogrost helped Elyan and Cuballa, along with Darigandas, make the world. Cuballa created existence, while Darigandas made the lumps of earth, whereas Elyan created the Inner Energy, the planets' cores, allong with large globes of fire called stars. Krimaria thanked Elyan in doing this, for at the time she was, essentially, portfolio-less. Frogrost made the 'caps' of pure ice on the tops and bottoms of these planets, to hold them together. For, if he did not, the fire within the planet would destroy the earth around it. However, try as they might, the three could not get 'Life' moving, so they turned to Fre'tana, who in turn, made life. However; her creatures would not 'live' without oxigen; so, later on, they found Alrisia, the Goddess of the Winds, and asked her to contribute her powers. She did, and with the help of Fre'tana, created the first life-forms, who were made to look like their gods. Soon after, Fre'tana spent all of her time creating new animals and plants, along with different things to come.

Marinaga Goddess of Knowledge, Secrets, Time and Magic {Mar-ee-naa-gaa} Sister goddess to Marienna, the goddess of elves, Marinaga is also a big player in the events of existance. She is the goddess of time, magic, knowledge, and secrets. Most of her followers are wizards and sorcerers, along with her sister's elven race. Being the goddess of knowledge, she also created Time, though this fact is argued between druids and sorcerers, it WAS the goddess of Knowledge. She--like the gods of frost and fire coming from Darigandas--was part of Marienna, but the elf goddess split in two, making her sister. Mythology When everthing began, it was all one streem of 'time'. No one knew what it was, even the gods. When Cuballa was split up into many gods and goddesses, Marinaga came forth from Marienna. After this, she quickly put things into order, setting up the stream of time. This was right before the sun and moon deities faught, and after they did, they consulted Marinaga to set up time limits for each day and each night. She agreed, and gave each of them 24 hours to have their day or night. The goddess also knew everthing, or almost everything in existence. Which kept many of the gods or goddesses on their toes, for nothing they or anything did was secret. When she was created, a Void was opened in the space-time continuam, which held a thing called Magic. Magic was very usful to the gods, and they all learned to master it, to truely master it. In time, wizards made a secret society deticated to The Void, and were more directly connected with it, than others.

Elyan God of Fire, Rage, and War {El-yaan} Elyan is the furious and wild god of the Blood Fire Dwarves; fightfully named after him. He is a close youngest brother to Darigandas and Frogrost, all three holding power over the dwarven race, and all three having similar portfolios. He helped create existance by adding a fiery core to each world, which allowed for them to create energy on their own. Most of his followers are dwarves, miners, and brewers. Along with blacksmiths and many of the creatures from the Plane of Fire. Mythology

Cuballa {Ka-ball-a} Cuballa is the great, almost over-deity of nature. His followers are almost everywhere and everyone; many, if not all of Frogrost's, Elyan's, Jarakna's, Krimaria's, and the four main racial deity's followers paying a little bit of heed to him, whether they know it or not. He usually sits back, watching his creation that is existance, but even with that power, he usually doesn't do much with it that exedes his small personal wants.

Niragondo {Ner-a-gone-do} Niragondo is the god of war and destruction, many of his followers being barbarians, paladins, and any other warriors. Many of the lands pay heed to him, if they do battle at all. The god of war had been a mortal once, so they say, many hundreds of years ago, when he was known as a different, mortal name. No one knows if this is true, and many disclaim it, usually being his followers.

Narxuel {Narcks-oo-el} The god of Death. He is a shady character at best, and many of his followers act more so as cultists than worshipers. There is however a more formal way to worship him, and that is Necromancy. Along with the school of magic is paying heed to him every time a loved one dies, or even sometimes if the Necromancer sees or knows of a death, silently pray to Him. He also holds a big roll in The Nine Hells and the Lower Planes, almost known as an evil deity, which is why many people do not like or respect Necromancers, some areas even hating and ditesting them; keeping them out of the cities.

Fre'tana {Frae-taa-naa} Fre'tana is the goddess of Life and like her counterpart Narxuel, holds a large part in the Higher Planes, or celestrial homes. The goddess of Life teaches her followers to enjoy life to it's fullest. This teaching is not too far from Donnamiro's, but the Life Mistress also states that spiritually doing good in life, no matter how poor or bad physical life is, doing good in one's soul is more important. So all of her followers are kind hearted, and will help almost anyone, even if they are hostile to others. If there is someone in need, they would help as best they could, to an extent.

Xihillin'a'risa {Za-hill-in-aa-ree-zaa} Patron Deity of all good metallic dragons, Xihillin'a'risa is a goddess to dragons only. Mostly only dragons know of these gods, creators of their race, being very few. She is the sister to Zssigori'gana the evil god of chromatic dragons. She holds no temples and her followers are generally few. Not even the other gods know much about the two draconic deities, for they are generally very reclusive.
