Ark flew down to a small hill, where he saw the much more familiar landscape of Arrorikar, where he and his friends had first started out. Xssikar, now the size of a large horse with wings, dropped down beside him with a large thump! Ark looked to his cousin, who looked quite distressed in the daylight, being a shadow dragon he didn't like the sun at all. So did Ark, but at least the mask he wore could protect him a bit. He shrugged, and pointed ahead to a small area of bumby land. They were a beggining of caverns, Ark knew, and were infested with orcs and kobolds deeper in. ((a que for all you Kobolds and Orcs, if you are out there... watching this... razz )) Xssikar grinning and nodded, for he did indeed wanted to be out of the sun, and none of the creatures inside would attack them, probably more so run in fear. Or in the Kobolds cases, bow down, and run away. But the two shadows weren't there to set up a home and take slaves. Though perhaps they could help if I ever needed to destroy this land, like Zarbusianzi had tryed He mused, a far fetched jest he told himself already.

It had been a while since Ark had been out of his new home in the pitch black UnderDark, and he was quite disoriented by how weired the sun felt on him now, but that changed when they had again left the surface, to rest in Darkness.

The half-dragon emerged from the cave several hours later, surpised of himself how much blood had sprayed across him during the surprising battle with the Kobolds. Xssikar exited a few moments later, his maw covered in blood as well. "I will return to our home, you know where to find us, if need be." He exclaimed, nodding his large head to Ark before entering the caverns again, back to the UnderDark.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw a trail a few hundred strides away, not too far if he flew. There was a figure on the road, he saw, and he wondered why anyone would be out this late, and out this far from civilized areas. He ran and jumped into the sky, flying away to the road. He dropped and rolled to the ground, his cloak and wings covering his body as he moved into a position that made him blend into the ground several hundred feet from the road. he watched the person.

Ark sat up, his vision enhanced a little bit in the dark, than if it were day. He could see the silver tint of his eyes, from the shine of the moon. He knew it may be hard to sneak by him, if need be so. But he was only a hatchling human, and blind at that! Ark thought, and waited motionless, his weapons harmlessly at his sides.

((He's only like an 18 year old -.-))

Ark stood up and silently walked over to the boy, moving his hand back and forth in front of his face. "But not see, hatchling" he said in his unmistakable draconic accent, hissing as he spoke.

"The New Shadow of the City in Shadow." He said criptically, refering to the old city of the Dread-Water Swamp Lands, Black Scale Hold. Only a few people other than dragons knew of that saying, of course. " And you? You are blind, yet walk normally, out on the open night road, bearing a street-wise wisdom? Perhaps?"

"I see" the half-dragon said, slightly interested. "And what is your bussiness in these parts, psion?" Ark questioned, refering to the boy now as a telepathic, for that would be one of the only ways the boy could see, and the most common.

((I hope he is a psion, cuz that makes a plot hook that allows us to team up easier razz ))

"...Perhaps I was mistaken? The art of telepathy, mind control..." He said, trying to clearify "One of the most common ways to see without sight, and very rare it is at that. I once knew a psion... a Dwarf, quite a sight to see a Dwarven druid, knowing the arts of the psion!" Ark exclaimed, laughing a bit.

"I am unfamiliar with such arts... It sounds something close to what the ghost-wise halflings use, and what the Dwarven Soul Wardens use around The Veil..." Ark exclaimed, pondering. he shrugged to the human boy.
