there's actually a rhyming dictionary that can be bought in bookstores. that might help. also, as with anything else that involves memory, it's all about repetition in the way you practice.

don't get too comfortable with a rhyming dictionary because then you'll be recycling a lot of words..
really freestylin should be about your word play and punch lines.
think of where tryna to go with a freestyle when you start flowin and try to get there by the end..and def you gotta practice hella, like walk down the street and just freestyle about whatever you see and that should help you get comfortable with thinkin of words on the spot and connecting the words to make sense

Thizz-Marquee don't get too comfortable with a rhyming dictionary because then you'll be recycling a lot of words.. really freestylin should be about your word play and punch lines. think of where tryna to go with a freestyle when you start flowin and try to get there by the end..and def you gotta practice hella, like walk down the street and just freestyle about whatever you see and that should help you get comfortable with thinkin of words on the spot and connecting the words to make sense When I started out, it was more of thinking of words that rhymed, then filling the space between them. Then, as you get comfortable, start mixing it up with Thizz's technique. I'd like to tell you that it takes no time, but like Thizz said, it takes LOTS of practice.

Well, I've been freestlying a lot grabbing random things in the house and freestyling about them. I'm pretty bad but it's a start.

If you can, realte things to current events. Make fun of, be sarcastic, then throw a rhyme together with it and relate it to your battle-back.
"cut open the opponent and keep your words decently clean you wont get a rep when your bashing their scene, slice up the intellegence with something prevalent relavent take em back to english class make their ignorance evident you gotta score the points make some noise and except trash talk, then flip it against them like you threw it back on their sidewalk, and if it gets personal bring em back to their manners with original etiquette from the etiquette planner then spew it to fast so they cant keep it straight, theyll probably end up repeting your flow and you gotta
stop
and say don't reitterate, then retaliate with the heavy rhyme in your pocket throw it out bond em up pop it and lock it. Keep the words changing, itll be noticed when you say the same thing, then watch carefull at the respected masters, copy some s**t and the make the s**t badder. And another thing don't fall out of tempo, Keep this together and the man will feel like a hoe on the menstrual." eek
And I'm good for now, but thats my advice on freestyle in a freestyle. And forgive me if you don't like it, I'm a beginner. mad D
