With all the people writing their stuff up here I decided I would too. Here we go, story for Gaia.....

There were dozens of clubs in my school, hundreds of socal groups, zillions of study groups and they have not yet invented a number large enough to count the cliques. I intentionally stayed out of it all, it was for the best. The last thing I needed was to get involved in was some stupid clique warfare. I kept to myself and avoided everyone else whenever possible.
People said I was smart. If I was I hadn't been told but people always think that people who keep to themselves and don't talk much are smart. I just wish the word smart wasn't always followed by the word 'but'. "She's smart but she doesn't apply herself", or worse yet "Your smart but that won't help you, give me your lunch money wimp". My parents claimed that High School was the best years of your life, either they were lying or I felt really sorry for them.
My alarm was about to go off, so I woke up. I always woke up just before my alarm went off, I hate loud beeping sounds so I would always rush across the room and turn it off before in went off. My gym teacher, who had dispared of me, would have been amazed to see the alarm clock dash.

I walked to school, we were close enough that it was more practical than taking the bus. I liked the walk most of the year, it was quiet and solitary, the streets would be practicly empty and it would feel almost like I was the only person in the whole world. I liked that feeling. During midwinter though the walk lost its atraction, people were always inconsiderate enough to not shovel the snow off of the sidewalks and the bitter cold would cut into me like a knife. Today was a pretty fall day, with the leaves changing colors around me and I crunched through them happily, able, for a few minuets, to forget where I was going. As soon as that huge brick structure loomed over me though my heart sank.

Naw, this is just a story. If you want a roleplay post it on the theater. I wish you would in fact. They tell me they want a theater and than no one uses it. evil

The school looked, fittingly, like a prison with its chain fence and its high, windowless cinderblock walls. I have rarely seen such a gloomy instition. I saw the people standing around the door of the school and my heart sank all the way to my feet. Sarah and Co. had decided to display their glittering selves to the world outside today. They were fresh, fashonable and radiant and there for chose to be nasty to all people who weren't. They particuarly didn't like me, I never even tried to glitter, being content to play the part of tarnished silver rather than crystal.

"Hey Rose," calls Sarah as I pass by, having gathered enough courage to brave the gauntlit so to speak. I don't stop to hear what she has to say but she continues speaking anyway. "Where did you get those clothes?"
"I don't know," I mutter. I do know, my parents bought them at the local second hand shop but I would rather eat hot lead than admit that to Sarah. It isn't that I really care about their opinions but the less I get teased the better in my book.
I flee down the hall and make it to my locker without further attacks. In middleschool they had provided us with small, individual lockers, now that we were in highschool we had full sized lockers which we had to share with someone else. I like the middle school way better, my partner was a pig who's belongings flooded out into the hall everytime I opened to door. I swore one of these days I was just going leave it all to be trampled rather than shove it back in, I just needed to gather up the courage to do so. Today I didn't have it and so the bell found me still trying to figure out how she had managed to get all her stuff in the locker in the first place. I didn't mind being tardy, today was Tuesday.

(sorry didn't realize I had changed tenses there until it was too late. I'll try to watch that in the future.)

Tuesdays, with out a doubt had always been bad for me but they had become a lot worse after the conferance. My parents had sat in with my teachers, and even the lofty personage of the Vice Princaple, talking about me. My mother said it proved that they all cared about me, I said it proved that they all thought I was a nut. The result of the conferance supported my conclusion. After that day I was forced to go to talk to the councler for a whole class periode every tuesday. Of course it meant that I missed a math class a week but I would have perfered math, I could sleep through that. The only good part of the whole deal was that I got to mess with the counsler, an old nemisis for a full fifty minuets.

By the size of his office I could only guess that the rest of the school district didn't like the councler either. Why else would they have put him in the broom closet? I knocked before entering, which was only polite, but opened the door before could answer. I had once caught him napping at his desk by doing this and was eager for another chance. I was out of luck today, he was sitting behind his desk, his hands folded and resting on top of it. He motioned for me to have a seat.
