I've seen a couple bad memories about being techie, so how about some good ones?
Techies can often have the most fun.

Okay, so I volunteered to help my director with a summer camp he was doing for younger kids. So while the little actors were getting a make-up lecture in the lobby, we techies turned off the house lights and centered the spotlight. Then we dressed up as pirates and danced and sang. It was so fun!!!

Nice! My last show involved a two person crew. Me and the stage manager. We only had like... two sound cues so we just had an actor do it. It was increadibly stressful but fun, because my stage manager rocks.

But some of my favorite memories come from when I did Lucky Stiff a few years ago. There were only about five people on the crew, and we gave ourselves some techie war paint one day while working on the set. Another time we were back in the theatre room changing all the gels in the spot light because like... the red one was pink, pink was white, the blue one looked like it was R60 (aka, almost white) and my stage managers and I were dancing around while this other guy was changing the gels and there's a line in the show where someone goes "May I have a blue spotlight please?" We quoted this line to him and, interestingly enough, he actually gave us one XD

^^ That sounds like fun!!

During hell week the director took all us techies out to dinner and then ice cream almost every night! One of the nights was the day that we dressed as pirates. We had to split the group in half, one half drove with the director, the other half drove with our oldest and only guy techie. So everyone stared at us as we drove. Either they thought we were crazy being dressed up as pirates and shouting pirate talk out the window, or they thought that Gio was some pimp wanna be. XD

Then we always raced our director there, even running at top speed to beat him. But always slowing down when we passed a police car.

Holding Holly's hand during tech circle heart heart

The runner up:
Me and a couple of other techs hate our house manager. So during a chior concert that the queer was in, I waited for a signal and hit the black out. Then our guy: a 6 foot some monster of a guy, took a swing at the house manager. It was like watching the discovery chanal as Risner's robe fluttered in the dark, flying towards Rickli... Too bad he missed
crying

Another good one is me and the some other lontimers created a game we called "Agit". Its basicly playing soldier inside the dark school before rehearsals. At first we got in trouble cause we said "bang". So we changed it to "quack". Cant get into trouble by saying "quack" right?

You get in trouble for saying bang? Man... my theatre teacher would be screwd then! I'm in the audition only theatre class, but there's 20 actors and 2 tech, so I get play a lot of the fun acting games... We have one where all walk around in a circle with our "guns" (hands) at the ready and when someone calls out aperson's name, that perons has to duck and the two people next to them go "BANG" and try and shoot either the person inthe middle, or eachother. It's really fun, but really hard.

We have another called Kitty Wants a Corner where everyone sits in chairs in a circle except for Kitty, and then Kitty goes up to someone and sys "Kitty wants a corner" and the person will go "Go ask so-and-so" so while the kitty is walking around people are switching chairs and the kitty tries to get a chair. We played this game on Friday in my class and homygosh... it got so violent XD We had people throwing eachother out of chairs and stuff XD It was awesome.

There's loads of other games like that like Bunny Bunny Bunny adn Woosh! Woah! Zap! which are just, basically, awesome.

One time I was running lights for an orchestra concert and started dancing in the light booth. One of the girl in the group who I knew said she looked up while she was playing and had to keep from laughing XD

We're currently working on the set for Grease! and we just finished the bar for one of the scenes. Two people have to dance ontop of it, so as soon as we finished, me and this other guy jumped up ontop of it and started dancing XD

Also, making screw jokes while making this stupid platform XD Something about being the only girl there... XD

Also, the sweage wood that... smells like sweage every time you cut it XD

Kitty wants a corner is fun, but my all-time favorite memory has got to be Grease. So fun, but so many scene changes... I also remember having to fix the stupid flats during that show. Every frickin' night, one of them broke. Come to think of it, maybe it wasn't such a good show after all...
