BACKGROUND:
The elves are a proud race; they always have been and always will. Most elves think highly of themselves and usually believe that everyother race is insignificant to their own. However, that does not mean that they all care for their fellow kin. In the land of Hindorus, there are three different races of Elves: The High Elves, The Wood Elves, and The Dark Elves. All three are now at war over one shrine that had once kept them together. For many years they have fought against eachother, never resting. And on top of that, the Elves of Hindorus are a cursed race. A curse which was placed upon them so that they would stay together as one. Unfortunately, it looks as though that will never happen...
At one time they were all one in the Kingdom of Iristanis; there was no difference between them. In those good times, the Elves were ruled by a wise and wonderful leader by the name of Elijine. Under his rule, which lasted for over two thousand years, a shrine had been created, a shrine called "Jahin". But it wasn't just any shrine, for it had mystical powers that held the Kingdom together; it was a barrier that kept out all other races and dangers. The King, Elijine, had control of its powers and used it for the power of good (only he knew of its secrets). However, Elijine was dying and he knew that his son would soon take his place. The bad thing was, his son was a corrupt Elf who thought only of the wealthy and most powerful of Elves. So, before he died, Elijine lay a curse on the shrine which would fall upon any elf who tried to tear apart his mighty empire of Elves.
A few years later Elijine died and his son, Merija, took over. Just as his father had feared, Merija believed that only the most powerful of Elves should have the Shrine and its protection. So he and the elves Merija had chosen, now called Elixans, overthrew the government, casting the religious leaders and the government officials out, and exiled them with the rest of the Elves. The exiled elves, called "Shrinken", became a "lower class", and were used by the Elixans as laberers. However, as time passed, the powerful Elixans suddenly began to change into what we now know as Dark Elves, or Drows. Soon, the Kingdom within the barrier crumbled, becomming a wasteland of death and decay. The Shrinken were then able to escape and live in the wilderness, since the Drows had problems of their own.
The Shrinken moved into the forests, living a primitive life, much different from the glory days of long ago. However, as time past, the Shrinken began to fight amongst themselves. The old government officials and religious leaders wanted to create another empire so that they could gain their offices again; they were sick of the filth and the horrible food they were forced to live off of. However, the rest of the elves wanted nothing else of that life; they had seen what had happened and believed that, if they created another empire, the same thing would happen all over again. Despite this huge problem, they all agreed that they needed the protection of the shrine, for they were also cursed. Instead of staying in their youth, they began to age like humans. In addition to that, there was no barrier to protect themselves from harm. However, they could not agree on a new way of life. The government officals and religious leaders moved to the north and began to create another kingdom, which we now know as the High Elves, and the rest stayed in the forest, which we now know as Wood Elves. From then on, they broke all ties from one another, setting up taboos in between them.
Over time, war broke out between the three different species of Elf. The Drows, who had become corrupt, wanted to enslave the High Elves and the Wood Elves, or "The Shrinken", as they called them; The High Elves, who had grown, over time, wanted to expand their Kingdom by taking over Iristanis from the Drows; And the Wood Elves wanted nothing to do with Iristanis, but were forced to fight to protect themselves. The irony of the entire war was that they all needed to live as one and the curse of the Shrine of Jahin would be lifted... there seems to be no hope...
PLOT:
The war between the three Elven Species rages on for thirty more years. Merija, because of the curse, is now quite old. Luckily, he was able to bear a son who was going to take his place once he died. However, one day, the Drow army swept across the land, taking prisoners from both the High Elves and the Wood Elves. It was a successful assault, for Merija's son had been captured! In vain, the High Elves launched an attack on the Drows. However, their attack failed, crippeling them....
A few weeks later, a female Wood Elf escaped from the Drow Camp. She was not alone, however. In her arms lay a baby male elf, her only son. The mother, as was expected, was in horrible condition, like the rest of the Elves under enslavement; she was covered in scars from the spells the Drow Guards cast upon her. Of course, a handful of Drows were sent after her and followed her for three days, eventually ending up in the boundary of the High Elves. Some High Elves, who were on guard duty, spotted the Drows and sent word to their General, who in turn ordered an army to attack the invaders. Before the army had to reach them, the mother was destroyed. But before the Dark Elves had time to kill the baby, the small army of High Elves came to the scene and killed the Drows. They found the baby and believed that it was the son of their leader, for it looked exaclty like Merija's son. With high hearts, the Elves took the Wood Elf to Merija, who also believed that the baby was his only heir.
Years past and Merija died, leaving the Wood Elf, who was believed to have been the heir, ruler of the High Elves. The origional name of Merija's son was Terryll, but he was renamed to Kandel, meaning "Miracle". As time passed, it became quite apparent that Kandel was different from the High Elves, for his featers were rough, which was a characteristic of the Wood Elves. But no one said anything in fear of his mother and the royal family One day, the High Elves launched an attack on the Wood Elves. During the attack, Kandel, for some reason, began to get flash backs of the land he was now in; he was remembering the woods as if he had been there before. In desperation, the King tried to push it out of his mind. However, a group of Wood Elves suddenly cried out a name when they saw him. "Quinran!" That name too, was also familiar. In anger, the High Elf murdered the elves and immediately called a retreat.
Confused, Kandel confided in his mother, who sadly told him the story of the capture of their son and the skirmish with the Drows where they found him. Kandel had grown up hating the Wood Elves and now, after finding out he was one of them, was torn. One night, in desperation, Kandel left his Kingdom and road to the realm of the Wood Elves to find out his true past..... Will he find his true family? Will this bring the two Elven races together? Or will it throw them into a hatred much deeper before?

He did this without any physical exertion; it was just like breathing. Kandal had always been the most athletic in the entire Kingdom, a trait not common of High Elves. At the time, he thought he was just gifted, since he was the son of the High King. But now he knew the truth; he was in fact a Wood Elf. His eyes suddenly began to fill with water, allowing a faint tear to trickle down the side of his cheek to the ground below. "Mother..." whispered the King, his hand slowly rising to wipe the remnents of the salty water as he ran in the direction of the forest, "why didn't you tell me earlier?"
((I know it's short, but I really want to start this...))

====================================================
Amber eyes darted speedily across the terrain before them. Crouched atop a wall in the shadows, a single shady-looking figure observed. They made no movement, save to shift their weight every once in awhile and the rapid shifting of their gaze. The forest was incredibly quiet that evening, only a very, very light breeze made any audible noise at all. The crackling of leaves blowing, and the ruffling of the mysterious figure's cloak were the only sounds that echoed in her ears. A slender, ebony hand sat curled around one of her dark-clad knees. Around her middle finger, a ring with her family crest - obviously of drow nature, judging by the stones set into it - sat, glimmering as the moonlight struck it between leaves.
She had been crouched there for quite some time... but she remained, certain of herself: Certian of her information. An enemy would be passing by here soon. One worth watching. Therefore, her prying amber eyes continued to move about, watching, waiting.

(( Yes! That is wonderful! It seems that you have NOT lost your rping talent ^_^ ))
Kandal's figure could be seen, darting across the vast plains that would lead him to the forest, the realm of the Wood Elves, which lay many miles from the kingdom of the High Elves. He knew that it would only be a matter of time before his absence would be noted, for every hour, his mother, who until the other day was believed to be his true biological mother, would send a guard to check on him, for she was quite worried over his mental state ever since he figured out his true heritage. And that was why he ran as fast as he could; gifted with the speed of the Wood Elf, darting across the land, his feet pounding upon the ground, his heart racing.
He wanted to know of his true family, but at the same time, he was afraid and wanted nothing to do with them. He had grown up despising the Wood Elves, but now since he was actually one of them, he felt as though that he hated himself and therefore hated his true parents, whoever they were, for giving birth to him. But something kept him going, as he continued to run, the forest comming into view in the distance. "Mother... father... whoever you are... I am comming..."

[[Awwwe, Broccy. razz I thought it was pretty lame, actually, but <3! Thankees! ]]
Suddenly, her frightening amber eyes locked onto a single point in the woods. Nothing was there, but she stared as if trying to burn a hole in that specific point with her eyes. The faint pitter patter of footsteps... incredibly fast footsteps, echoed within her elvish ears. (Being an elf, such a keen sense of hearing was written into her blood.) Her target was approaching, no doubt was in her mind. And, if her calculations were correct, this point... the point she stared into, was where he would be entering the woods.
Rising up to her full height, she stepped lightly across the wall with elvish grace, hopping off to the ground once she reached the end. A very light noise resounded as she hit the soft forest floor. The drow was sure to tread lightly, for she was not in her territory, but her enemy's. She would surely be attacked and captured if spotted.
Therefore, she waited patiently, her whip drawn. With any luck, she'd be able to capture him before he pushed through to the Wood Elves.

(( Dang it! I thought I posted! Stupid airport internet >_< ))
It was not long before the elf came to the edge of the forest; the realm of the Wood Elves, the people who had brought him into this world. Kandal sighed as he stared into the darkness, staring right into his past. It was quite eerie. Here were a race of elves whom he had grown up hating, believing them to be lower than himself, since they were not part of the hiearchy in the Kingdom of Iristanis. Kandal had believed that his great grandfather had been Elijine, the wonderous King who had led his people for thousands of years before he finally died; the same elf who had created the Shrine that had protected his people for centuries. But now, all he was was a decent of a lower class of elves, the class of elf who were better known as Wood Elves. Kandal sighed as he stared into his destiny; he did not want to go in, for in doing so, he would be accepting that he was something that he had grown up despising all of his life. But if he did not go, then he would be turning back on his true identity. What could his real name be? What was it that they called him? The elf shook his head. He could not remember; it had a strange sound to it, but for some reason, it sounded vaguely familiar, almost as if he actually remembered being called that name...
As he stood there, contemplating, a smell that did not belong in the forest came to his senses. Immediately, the elf stood up erect, his ears pricking to any sound. In the swirling mass of aura that rested in the forest before him, another could be sensed that was not Wood Elf; it was the aura of a Drow. Kandal took in a deep breath, trying to control his emotions from letting loose. The drow were a powerful race whose power was given to them through a curse. They were a plagued species, that had the ability to destroy a group of elves with just a single thought. At that moment, Kandal wished that he had brought a weapon with him, for he suddenly realized that he had forgotten his sword. Cursing outloud, the King of the High Elves, took a step back and bellowed out into the wilderness, allowing his voice to echo over the trees and the mountains which lay in the east. Even though it was dangerous to show himself, he would rather die fighting his enemy, than being destroyed without knowing who had attacked him. "Oh, drow, cursed species of the Jahine Shrine! Show yourself so that I may see my opponent who shall be my victim or my victor!" It was then that he waited as his voice drifted off into the distance, leaving him in a shallow silence that seemed to devour him slowly...

[[Heehee, yeah. Airports = Teh Lame. ]]
She perked up as a male figure manuvered itself into the forest right where her eyes had been fixated. She recognized him- he was well-known throughout the kingdom. What was his name? '... Kandal? Is that it?' She wondered, eyeing him cautiously. Not sure if she had correctly identified him, the drowess simply left it at the fact that she knew his face. 'Hm. But what would he be doing all the way out here? Perhaps that is why they've sent me.' Her thoughts continued to roll through her mind as she watched. He was apparently in deep contemplation, for a pensive expression was across his face and he had paused for quite some time now.
Suddenly and without warning, he began to yell. Although she didn't want to find herself captured, the drow found this rather funny. A smile gradually passed over her face as he finished his shout, followed by a slight chuckle. Moving out into the light, she hung her whip back across her belt. Amber eyes stared into his features as she tried to identify his face further. "Relax, junior..." She began, her voice smooth and calm. "I'm not here to hurt you. Her footsteps halted before him, her eyes watching him. However, her ears' were listening to the forest around. Wood elves would surely have heard his... episode.
"At least, I don't think I'm here to hurt you. I suppose that sort of depends on you, though." As she spoke, the drow slowly crossed her arms before her chest. She shrugged a bit and paused her conversing as she tried harder and harder to confirm the name 'Kandal' with his face.

The drowress soon showed herself, releasing herself from the cluthes of the shadows that had once engulfed her image. Even though he had sensed that a drow was near, the elf was still surprised to see her before him, clad in the uniform in which most dark elves were found in, her amber eyes staring into his own; he needed to see proof and there she was in the flesh. Kandal immediately took a step back once she had appeared before him, his hand instinctively reaching for his none-existant sword, even though she had claimed that she was there not to hurt him. Even though he wished it to be true, drows were strange folk who certainly were not known to go by there word and Kandal was not going to let his guard down just because the drow had told him that she was not going to harm him.
It was then, once he had been standing there for at least a couple of minutes, did the term 'junior' enter into his mind. She had dared to call the King of the High Elves a junior. Even though he was not a true High Elf, he still held a high rank that he did not want to let go of (a trait which Wood Elves were abscent of). As anger began to boil within him, Kandal regained a step towards her, taking back the one that he had lost when he had stepped back earlier. "How dare you call me, junior. Do you know who I am?" Kandal cocked his head to the side as he spoke, trying to read the expressions on the dark elf's face. "I am Kandal, King of the High Elves... it seems that you have entangled yourself in royal affairs." The elf smirked as he said this, crossing his arms to try and look more menacing. But his heart was only half into what he was saying, for he was thinking of the fact that he was indeed not royalty at all, making his words a useless group of syllabols, thrown into the conversation with no true meaning. He was just a commoner; a wood elf. In fact, he could not cast any spells like the other High Elves, for that was not a trait of the elves of the woods. Just thinking about this, caused Kandal to grimace in frustration as he looked upon the drow with hatred; she was mocking him. He could tell.

[[Teehee, thanks for the welcome back. Le-Appreciated. razz ]]
A grin passed across her lips as the "King" seemed to explode, telling her that she had entangled herself in "royal affairs". His last bit actually caused her to giggle slightly. "Oh, have I now?" She said as a look of hatred suddenly entered his eyes. "Tsk tsk. I must say, I'm not impressed with "royal affairs", if all you people do is run around in the forest that doesn't belong to you all day long." She began to circle him, assuming that he wouldn't let her get too close and would circle in turn. If he was indeed whom he said he was, she wasn't about to try to tangle with him, though... unless necessary.
"Well, I was sent here for information- you feel up to sharing why royalty is all the way out here?" She didn't expect him to tell her, but keeping him talking was what she needed. Any bit of information she could gather would be useful. Her general would be pleased for anything, she assumed.

Just as the drowess had expected, Kandal, once the dark elf had begun to circle around his figure, followed her, rotating his own ever so slightly so that he could keep her image in plain sight; there was no way that he trusted her. As he did so, the drowess giggled in response to his words, causing the king to clench his fists as he tried to control the anger that had begun to build up inside of him. She was mocking him. There was no doubt about it. Just in her tone he could tell that she was enjoying herself; she was enjoying picking away at his patience and his pride, a pride all High Elves had.
There was a moment when she did indeed pause, no doubt waiting for a response to her attack. But Kandal remained silent, his eyes piercing into the drowess, hating every inch of her body. He wanted to say so badly that the forest was actually his, that he himself was a Wood Elf, just so he could show her that the royal affairs of the High Elves was not a joke, and that he was actually doing this for his own personal interest and not for the elvish kingdom, but he could not. For he was ashamed of his true lineage and did not wish to share it with her. And then, almost in answer to his thoughts, she then asked him why he was there, as if she was prying into his mind to try and suck the information out of him. But Kandal refused to answer, his eyes glaring into her own. "I would never reveal such things to a dark elf. Especially one whose rank is so below my own." He grinned as he said those last words, enjoying, for the moment he had, the triumph he had accomplished over her.

[[Sort of confused. We're technically on the same side at the moment, correct?]]
She nodded, silvery-white locks waving slightly as she did so; surprisingly respecting his response, no matter how evasive. "Fair enough. Keep your answers, then." She began, not admitting nor revealing that his insulting blow had offended her slightly. If it weren't for the damned king and his grudges, she'd be extremely high-ranked in the military: something she'd wanted ever since her father had put it in her head. She now was regrettably considered a commoner, though the military and royal family relied on her information more than they realized. Assuming that he didn't yet know who she was, Allindra used this to her advantage. The royal family definately knew her name, Tav'aar... undoubtedly, though, he'd never seen her face.
"But... dont' put a royal seal on your personal secrets- then call them 'business'." She added, brining her amber eyes up from his angered fists to meet his gaze. She then stopped moving, ceasing her circling.
The drowess then commited a surprising act. She bowed- a traditional bow of her people. Graceful and respectful, but nothing to leave them offguard. Without another word, she turned and faded immediately as if her very body had changed to camoflague with the environment. Suddenly, as if she had heard them and vanished just in time, the very faint crackling footsteps of elves came echoing in the woods. The Wood Elves were responding to Kandal's shouts...
Weaving into the shade of the tree branches, Allindra still observed, hidden and silent. 'Strange that my general would want information on one of his own. What is he up to...?' She wondered, curious eyes fixated on Kandal...

((The dark elves or the drows are against everyone, since they kicked out both the High Elves and Wood Elves way back when... damning them to no protection etc... but then they got cursed because of it. And then the High Elves and Wood Elves started to quarrel and broke apart... so everyone is against everyone right now lol! But we can change that of course lol))
Kandal blinked almost immediately after her first words left her lips; she had allowed him to keep his business his own. Most drows would have tried to pry into his life and tear him apart from the inside, but this one was different. Not only that, but she also had not attacked him. By this time, Kandal had expected there to be a bloody skirmish between the two, for the curse placed upon the drows had made them blood-hungry and lustful for battle. But this one no doubtedly was not interested in fighting or was interested in trying to corrupt his mind; she almost seemed respectful. Could the curse of the Jahin shrine actually be fading? No, that was impossible. If that was true, then there would be no hope for the High Elves to get the shrine, which was greatly needed for them to be able to survive in the world. For without it, they were not protected by Elijine's blessing on Jahin, which made it hard for them to survive in the world of Iristanis. And the drows, even though they were protected by it, were corrupted by the curse placed upon it by the King Elijine. But if the curse was lifted, then there was no hope for his own Kingdom to survive, which was beaten by war repeatedly.
Kandal cursed silently as she spoke again. Was she telling him how to speak? Before he had a chance to retort, she had stopped circling and raised her eyes to his own. At that moment, Kandal could not move; it was almost as if he was under a spell. All he could do was stare into her eyes; drown in the swirling mass of amber that now engulfed him. And then, as the elf tried to bring his gaze anywhere but her, she bowed, breaking his hypnotized state. Shaking his head, the elf looked back up in surprise. Why had she bowed to him? But once again, before he had a chance to say anything, she suddenly faded into the trees. Looking around confused, the elf suddenly realized why she had disappeared; there were the sounds of footsteps comming from deep in the forest.
Nervousness, at that moment, immediately began to plague the King's senses. Breathing heavily, the elf swayed, wanting nothing more than to fall to the ground, for standing was becomming too much of a task for him. At this point in time, he had completely forgotten about the drow, for he was now comming to the fork in the road that would decide his future. He was either going to embrace his past and become a Wood Elf, or burn the bridge and turn away from his heritage. Kandal closed his eyes, trying to bring peace to his mind; could there be a way that he could be both? No. There was no way... he hated them... but they were his family.
And at that moment, as he continued to fight with his thoughts, the elves appeared. With weary eyes, Kandal looked up at their faces, recognizing their facial structure, for it was very much like his own; it was a nightmare; he was what he hated. Immediately, the elves' eyes widened, no doubt recognizing his face, but did nothing; they were waiting for him to speak. "I," began the King, taking a shaky step forward, "am...Terryll..." The elf said it as if it brought pain to him, for his face was now contorted in disgust as he stood there, staring into the eyes of his own people. "I have come to see what I am..." And at that moment, Kandal fell forward and everything went black...

Her eyes which were meant for observing did just that as the drowess watched, perched in the safety of the tree's branches. Sure enough, the Wood Elves began to emerge from the trees, as if they were part of the forest itself. She counted speedily, noting there to be a party of six Wood Elves. Curious to see what Kandal would do, her gaze shift back onto him. However, she found herself surprised: his actions were strange. Kandal was High Elven, from what she understood- why didn't he flee, or show hostilities toward these Wood Elves? He actually gave them a name, though it wasn't the same one he had given her. "Terryll"... something familiar about the name, yet at the same time it was completely foreign.
She searched her mind for anything about the High Elves that she had been taught. Remembering a single day with her father, the drowess found herself in a sort of flashback. The morning was still dark and damp as she rode, still a child, beside her father. He led her across plains and through woods all the way into the territories of the High Elves. Her mind then skipped a set amount of time... They darted across the high walls of the city, gazing down from the shadowy morn at the few elves awake at the strange hour. As her father lectured her about why the drow hated them. The arrogance, the 'Holier than thou' vibe... She didn't pay him much attention, she simply watched the people, observed them as was her strange nature... Her eyes opening once more, she remembered little of the high elves, other than trace amounts of her father's speeches on how awful they were. 'How unfortunate, that I know so little of them- and why we quarrel with them so.' She thought, a bit disappointed at her terrible memory.
She silently climbed a bit higher into the more concealed areas of the tree as she watched Kandal collapse onto the forest floor. She wondered in that moment whether or not the Wood Elves would try to harm him. No matter what sort of war was going on, to kill an opponant who is at a complete disadvantage was unacceptable and cowardly. Therefore, she crouched upon a thicker limb, hands upon her weapons, ready to strike what she could of the party down if needbe.

The elf was lost in a sea of darkness, floating in a dream that seemed so real, but at the same time so ridiculously impossible that one could notpossibly believe it could be reality. Everything that he saw came in quick cycles that lasted for only a few moments or came in ways one in the real world was not accostomed to, almost making one feel as though the images had never really come in the first place. What these images were of (or what the elf believed them to be) were images of his past life, drowning him in a rage of confusion as they cascaded through his mind. Everytime the elf wished to see a moment for just a little longer, he reached out. But everytime, it just faded away, disappearing into the air like smoke. Everything he saw felt as though he was actually in the scenes before him, but without having to be inside, enjoying what they had to give. But he still wanted to be inside, away from the darkness that caressed his skin. But there was no way; the darkness was his reality, it was the only life in which he knew.
And then finally, as he continued to try and reach the pictures floating before him, the darkness began to swallow him whole. Struggling with all of his might, the elf tried to pull himself free so he could continue to watch his memories, but nothing he did was futile. Thoughts of survival were not even on his mind. All he wanted to know was the truth; the one thing he was hidden from his entire life. And with a cry, the elf watched as they disappeared, never to come again....
Kandal's eyes opened with a jolt, his hands immediately falling to his shoulders as soon as movement came back to him, for the feeling of the cold darkness that had engulfed him was still with him. Rubbing his figure to try and stay warm, the elf looked around, his body shaking both from the temperature and from the adrenaline that rushed through his sweating figure. Where was he? By the look of it, he was inside some sort of structure made entirely of wood. Getting up out of the bed he had placed in (which surprised Kandal greatly, for he had almost expected to be latched down by chains or some sort of device that would sustain him), the elf made his way to the door.
"I would get some rest, if I were you."
Kandal, who had not suspected someone to be in the room with him, whirled around, ready to defend himself if needbe. But, as soon as his eyes had time to take in the figure who sat before him, the elf lowered his defences. The one who had spoken was undoubtedly an elf, but one that had seen many centuries. For even though all elves aged slowly, this elf was actually wrinkled; he actually looked old and not full of life like most elves. If the elf was human, many a man would believe that he was over 200 years old. Kandal took in a deep breath and, to his horror, found himself bowing to the figure; he almost felt obliged to do so. Even before the he had time to raise himself to his full height, the old creature spoke, his voice lashing out from the darkness. "Don't bother me with such pleasantries. I am an old elf, an elf who is tired of respect that is not meant. I have seen much in my time, boy. Don't make me feel as though the times of Elijine are still with us. They are long gone, along with the Jahine Shrine..." His voice trailed off, his eyes staring into an oblivion; into a world long gone, leaving Kandal in silence before the ancient elf turned to him once more, his eyes once more staring at him.
"I have lived through all the different ages that litter our proud race's history, after the time of Elijine, when we were all one in the kingdom of Iristanus. I have lived through the time of Merija and the Great Exile; the time of the Elixans and the Shrinken, when the Shrine was taken from us. I have lived through the thousand years of slavery, when the Elixans worked us to the point of death. I have lived through the Awakening, when the Elixans were transformed into what we now know as the Drows, due to the curse of the Shrine. I have lived through the Seperation and the Great War, the age in which we now live in; the time when the Shrinken seperated, creating the High Elves and the Wood Elves and in turn, sparking the Great War. And I have lived through the time when my grand daughter was killed... the time when I had believed that my great grandson was killed, but was proven wrong when he came back to us as another... Terryll..."

The youthful drowess followed for as long as she was able. Yet, she kept a safe distance the entire time. It was difficult for her, for after all, she was of drow heritage and jumping about from tree to tree was a habit of the wood elves. However, she did as well as she was able, and it was certainly enough. She paused on a limb outside a small wooden city and watched as they hauled Kandal inside the powerful ceder gates.
Her eyes followed the small group as they carried him across a series of wooden rails and ramps. She watched until they were no longer in sight. Still alert, the drow leaned back against the trunk of the tree she was currently in, having been unaware of how tiring following the wood elves had been. Taking a moment to catch her breath, she observed her surroundings and the city below. It was made almost entirely of wood- but still sturdy and easily defendable.
Her eyes then locked upon a small room in the distance, candlelight flickering inside of it. She thought that they had possibly locked Kandal up there; so, she watched and waited. Although she had found a great deal of valuable information for her general, she wanted more- and the fact that the wood elves had taken instead of killing Kandal teased her mind and her hunger for information. The curious amber orbs remained fixated on the room as she tried to figure out how to get closer without being destroyed on sight.
