South durem can be summed up as compton. Its the hood, the ghetto. Whatever you call it, there is good here. the community is close and the people help eachother out. Its a poor neighbor hood. Gang violence here is the worst in the city. Drive bys, drugs, prostitutes. Dispite this the culture here is colorful. Many a famous rap stars, poets, and artist hail from south Durem.
