After an assasination that lead to a nuclear world war on earth, a small handful of humans made a space ship and fled to the stars. A few years later, the colonist ship crash landed on a strange new world that thankfully could support them. It was a new home for the humans. However adapting proved difficult this new world named Tartessa. Believing that technology lead to the destruction of Earth, many began to strip down the spaceship and destroy any piece of technology they could. Those who believed that the only way they could survive was with the technology, saved all they could and set sail off the great sea. On seperate continents split apart from the sea, humans have made there home and either chose a simple life or a technological one.

Those that stayed on the continent of Sylvanas met with the native peoples of the world. Elves, Dwarves, and numerous other species as well as an unforgiving and dangerous wilderness. Over a millenia, humans have learned magic, civilizations and empires have been built and destroyed, and limitless events both great and terrible have occured crafting the world as everyone knew it. Despite everything however they have stuck to what they built their lives on, on Sylvanas kingdoms replaced the cities that humans once made, guns were replaced by swords and bows, cars were replaced by steeds, ridable birds, and reptiles. With most of the wilds still untamed, ut is truely a magical place where anything is possible.

Numerous times however, did the continents meet. The seperatists who kept to the old ways of progress crafted a civilization more powerful then the one they made on earth upon their continent of Norgatto. They came to Sylvanas in search of fortunes and power. Though Negotiations were made, it seemed that a war between them was unavoidable so for the greater good they continued to go their seperate ways and avoid contact.

Now, 3000 years after humans first crash landed, Sylvanas is once again engulfed in war as the tyrant Lord Cyrax Solaris seeks control over all the kingdoms. Across the sea, a powerful business man looks upon Sylvanas and the lands across the sea with envious eyes. And the last dark continent, Intega, which was supposedly uninhabited just recently made itself known to the rest of the world when an entire exploratory force made the trip there and never returned. Sages believe that something dark and evil lies there and possibly an answer.

There is one thing that all the continents seem to have in common, scattered across the lands and even under the sea lies ruins of a civilization that is older then even the fossils of ancient and extinct beasts but with a world war on the rise, their secrets are the least of everyone's worries... or are they...

Rules:

This will mostly be a fantasy RP and is also quite literate. I want atleast a paragraph (3 sentences) per post unless your chatting with another charecter. If you have trouble just remember to be descriptive.

now the rules.
1. Not spamming (only bump during unusually long periods of inactivty) OCC is fine though. Just dont over due it.
2. Romance is encouraged but keep it clean. Keep it PG 13 and no cybering!
3. Action will be large part of the story. There will be fighting but dont get too gory with it (PG 13) and in case of charecter vs charecter, RPG battle rules apply. Only the person who is being attacked can decide to be hit.
4. Hateful or Racist comments is not allowed.
5. No excessive argueing. Be nice and respectful.
6. Try to use punctuations and spell properly. ( "" for spoken words... ' ' or italics for thought... and optionally use * * for actions)
7. Have fun. ^_^ This is a guild where you have total freedom of how the story will go. You have my full authority to create NPC's to interact with, or even add little bits and pieces to the world. I merely created the world, you can mold it.
8. Last rule...
NO GOD MODDING

pm me your charecter profiles with the subject being

"Happily ever after"

somewhere in there to show me that you read the rules.

Username: ShwiggityShwah
Charecter Name: Taerus
Race: Celestial (no wings)
Age: 3251 (looks 22)
Gender: Male
Occupation: Mercenary
good/evil/neutral: Good
Appearance:
User Image
His red coat goes down to his ankles and he has dark guantlets on his wirsts and black gloves.
Weapons: Vamborgirr, the sword of three hearts
Arcane throwing knives
Equipment: Bandages and herbs, travel gear
Abilities: Some holy and dark magics, above average strength and skill, able to give knives elemental properties. He is slowly regaining his former god like power.
Personality: Generally and all around nice guy. He is kind, optimistic, polite, and tries to make everyone happy. He can be a bit eccentric or even stupid at times, but when required, he can think calmly with a clear head. He follows a strict personal code and never kills, (except for food)

History: Originally a biological weapon created by heaven with the sole purpose of destroying all evil across the universe. He was designed to be an instrument of genocide, with all heavenly powers at his force and will, but the project was tampered with by an evil entity and was decided to be shut down. Thanks to the pleas of his 'mother' instead of killing him, the angels and gods gave him a normal happy life on earth with an adoptive family. For a while, everything was good. He was a happy 'normal human' who was alot stronger then most of the people around him. However after some years, he was found by the forces of hell. His instinct to kill kicked in and he defended his home the best he could, but having met with a demon goddess who lead the attack, he was struck down, and permanently scarred by her taint.
Again he was saved by the calls of a woman. The demon goddess, Pandura, unable to have her own children, took him and raised him as he was her own. Under her care, he was trained and acchieved unmatchable power as he now possessed all the power of both good and evil. Eventually he was let loose to destroy all good across the universe. For centuries he was unstoppable, destroying worlds, and took countless lives. Even the heavens, despite their best efforts, could not bring him down. Taerus however never enjoyed this existence and told his 'mother' that he didnt want to fight anymore. Having found love for him, she agreed. His final battle took place on Tartessa where he lead an army of hells minions to crush a powerful civilization of elves, the Tsu Nai. On the eve of victory, standing before his last victim, a small girl, the last of her kind, she unleashed an ancient sort of magic that ripped his mind apart, driving him into a killing rage. He slaughtered his entire army before his body finally gave out and he collapsed amoung the wreckage of the burning city.
When he woke up, he lost nearly all of his power and remembered nothing of what happened before that day and became the happy 'human' he would have grown into on earth. The fact that he couldnt remember his past didnt bother him too much, but what did was the terrible nightmares he had every night that was cause damage to others as he slumbered. Out of annoyance he seeked a mystic in the mountains that might be able to help him but before they spoke, the mystic was killed by an assasin. Taerus thankfully found an artifact that could bring him back but in the hands of a crime boss, it is quite expensive. He now travels the world as a mercenary, seeking friends and fortues to pay for the artifact. Two years later, he is not even close to the price... but atleast he had some fun on the way.
Other: he can coat his sword in an aura to prevent lethal slashing damage.

Character Name: Jonas
Race: Human
Age: 32
Gender: male
Occupation: Engineer/Historian
good/evil/neutral: Good natured
Appearance: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Weapons: A single 9mm handgun
Equipment: A shoulderbag filled with items valuable to an enginner such as:

a) a toolkit
b) spare wires
c) spare batteries
d) resistors
e) circuit boards and chips

Abilities: The ability to build devices needed to aid him in a time of need.
Personality: Jonas is often laid-back and reserved to thought. He'll occasionally make a witty remark but he tends not to get involved with other people's business.

History: There was an age when the technology of man advanced at exponential rates. According to history, man had gone from his first steps on the moon to living on space stations in under half of a century.

Jonas was fond of history. He was especially interested in the people who lived thousands of years ago. During the era when the human race first crashed upon this planet, items were salvaged from the ship. Before it was torn apart, several books and historical documents were recovered from the ship. These documents were copied, translated, copied again, edited, copied, and distributed in mass quantities. Though Jonas had read the copies, he craved, on an intellectual level, for the originals. Thus, he began his crusade in his mid-twenties.

During the seperation era, most of the seperatists had managed to obtain the originals. Jonas discovered this right about the time he turned thirty. For the next two years, he had decided that he would go to the continent of the seperatists and, somehow, find the originals.

Other: Jonas has a tattoo on the back of his left hand. It is a symbol meaning "Home" in one of the native languages of one of the planets. Coincidently, when part of the symbol is curved a certain way, it also meant "earth" ( referring to the ground, not the planet ) in another language. His tattoo was bent in such a way. He felt it was a good pun, as it had meant, to him, to represent Earth which was mankind's former home.

Username: Lady Crystalmir
Charecter Name: Tabbe
Race: Felanes
Age: 50
Gender: Female
Occupation: Tourist/Druid
good/evil/neutral: Neutral inclined toward good
Appearance: She appears to have more cat blood then human in her, though her hands and feet which are paw shaped and bare retractable claws, do have opposable thumbs though they are a bit clumsy. Her ears are cat ears and she has typically cat like bright green eyes which reflect light thrown at them {like deer in headlights}. She wears a loose robe in a neutral beige-ish color with long slits up the side, though she dislikes it finding it constraining and chaffing on her fur. Her fur is a blackish-brown color, with orange highlights as is the long more human like hair on her head. She treats her tail much like an extra arm sometimes using it to hold things. She wears no shoes but the robe drags on the ground so this is usually not noticed.
Weapons: Naturally her claws represent a formidable though small force, so she also carries a walking stick-c**-cudgel. It's taller then her {about six feet} and roughly carved as if made with a small knife, at the top is a rather heavy knob that is good for hitting people on the head. Below that is a cut off fork that she can hook a small pack to.
Equipment: A small leather satchel that is often hooked to her stick, in it there is some travel-cakes and jerkey and a waterskin. She also has a piece of soulstone that she picked up without really realizing what it is, she kept it around because she thinks it is lucky and it amplifies her powers. It might contain some string, treebark, mushrooms, fish-hooks, such small useful items that may be gathered in the wildness or trade.
Abilities: Nature Magic. Like a cat she has an amazing though non-magical ability to slip through places, move quietly and vanish. Being a druid, {though not a very powerful one} she can cast spells to purify water, find paths, make fire and minor healing. Basicly all the nature magic spells. There is very little battle potential in her spells, and some of them can exhaust her quickly.
Personality: A bit of a tech-no-phob, like most druids, she is a bit wary of humans though less so of the other races. She is however kind and somewhat naive, though surprisingly fierce if forced to fight. Though she can sometimes have a sharp tounge, it is rare that she means anything she says. After a battle she is just as likely to care for a former enemy as an ally, her poor fighting skills often prevent her from taking sides anyway. She would like to find a group but is a bit of a loner without anyone currently. She acts rather young which she is as a druids greater bond with nature allows them a longer lifespan.
History: After the split the druids were of course part of the group advocating a lack of technology though a bit more extreme then the rest. After the technologists first returned to Sylvanas most of the druids, fearing war, left for a separte island {the one on the far right with the big lake. It has mostly village type things and only a few members of any race other then druids.} which is where she was raised. This island is closer to Intega then any other and for that reason maintains many strange practices. She has left the island and decided to explore the main sections of Sylvanas looking for others of her kind to urge them to come to the island and escape from the war that they percive to be stirring. To that end she has led a nomadic lifestyle spending much time in forests trying to find scattered groups of her brethren.
Other: She seems to have heard of the Docter and fears him always referring to him as 'Good Docter'.

Charecter Name: Madeena
Race: Android
Age: Appears to be 26 but is much older
Gender: Female
Occupation: Wanderer
good/evil/neutral: Neutral
Appearance: User Image
Weapons: A single crystal encrusted sword
Equipment: Does not have a need to carry and special items, save for the sapphire jewel given to her by her 'master.'
Abilities: Though she does not know it yet, she has the ability to create/control/manipulate ice. As long as there is water around anyway, she has the ability to create/control/manipulate it.
Personality: Madeena kind of takes on a child like personality in that everything is new to her. She is shy and quiet most of the time, but when she needs to interact with other people, she is very animated and very outgoing. She never understood why she had the 'emotions' that she does, but she believes it ties in to her master. The only time she truly acts like an android, instead of a human is when she is in battle (which has happened a couple times) or when she is learning something new.
History: Madeena was created by Dr. Edward Sutra, a mastermind in the field of technology. He originally had been hired by the military to create an army of androids. But, after creating a few prototypes, he quit because he did not want to make tools of destruction. Instead, he took all his material and tools and created his own workshop, which initially was his home. Edward never married and had never been in love, and being in his mid forties, didn't expect that he would ever meet the right woman in his life. So, feeling the emptiness and longing for female companionship, he set his mind on making a female android, which he wanted to make as human as possible. And that's when he created Madeena, who looked as human as possible, aside from some of her metallic exterior. He made sure all of her organs were artificial, so she would never die, except, of course, if she were to be blown to pieces or something of that nature. So Madeena was created and he 'raised' her and explained all her different attributes and functions. Madeena learned quickly and together, they lived quite happily. Edward indeed fell in love with his creation, and wished Madeena could feel the same, but even with the emotions chip built into her system, she still couldn't grasp what emotion was. For many years they lived together, until Edward neared his death. He was the ripe old age of 74 years old, and as Madeena sat by his side, he spoke with his last breath, telling her that he wanted her to go out into the world, and learn as many things as she could. He told her to never fight unless it was necessary and to be kind to those who were kind to her. That's what he wanted for her.......to be as human as possible.
Other: Madeena loves animals of all kinds, and loves reading

Map of Tartessa

***coming soon***

Map of Sylvanas
Slyvanas is a continent of magic and due to the restriction of technology and the large amounts of monsters and wars going on, much of the wilderness is still untamed and even undiscovered. An innumerable amount of races live here with new creatures and races discovered at a common pace. It is by mass, the largest continent in the world (land mass equal to Asia, Middle East, Europe, and Australia added together). Kingdoms and countries are heavily distributed across the continent, each with their own rulers and customs, but as stated, much of the land is still unowned, untamed, and unknown.
User Image

***The map is only a simple representation of what the continent is believed to be by explorers. The orange dots represent major well known cities. There are many more cities and places that I did not conclude but youll have to discover them for yourself before they are added. ***

Cadia Prime The capitol of the Cadian State which is an empire that has lastest for 3 centuries. Cadia Prime is the most technologically advanced city in Sylvannas' notes, with the era being similar to post industrial revolution back on earth. The city itself is massive, 2nd largest on the continent in terms of used land, but is technically the largest city since it is broken into levels. Around the city has long since become a wasteland due to dried up resources and pollution made during its industrial advancement. Inside, it is a city covered in endless night. The smoke from factories have blotted out the sun, and covered the entire area in a dense fog. Under the fog, lights that run on electicity from coal and soulstone refineries light up the city. The city has 3 parts. Below level is considered the lower class and technical level, where the cities electrical, physical, and military needs are processed, with a large amount of poor, forgotten, and homeless to litter the slums and structures that support the city above. The surface level has an arcitecture similar to london and acctually looks like a clean and aristocratic society where the more well off citizens (of any race) needant worry of problems outside the walls that keep the city safe. The last level is acctually in the sky above the city, floating atop the poisonous clouds. There is a grand palace that floats in the air by use of state of the art systems and a massive piece of soulstone called a Quintessance Core. This is where the residing emperor, his servants, other members of the Senate, other members of royalty, and honored guests stay. The current leader is Cyrax Solaris, and since the war has put the city under martial law. Now, everyone not totally rich is almost made to starve, magic use and flight is strictly prohibited (except by military and at certain training facilities) and is now capable of being detected, special notices and passes are mandatory for new arrivals, badges represeting class and occupation must be worn, and curfews are set in order. It has become a thriving totalitarian state. It is nearly impossible to get to the empire with the new security put in.

Things to Know

Races
Human This alien species arrived on the planet a few thousand years ago when they crash landed in Sylvannas. They have adapted to their new surrounds, spread, and have even the highest population in the continent of Norgatto. Humans live less then 100 years and are quite versatile at whatever they do. In Norgatto they have continued their tradition of progressing modern technology, and in Sylvannas they have learned the lost art of magic. While most humans are considered frail or simple, they have learned to push their limits through magic and hard work. Their lifestyles are extremely flucutated from the pure of heart to the truely evil though most other races consider them weak and unpredicatable.

Elves Originally named Shun Gau-Shi in their language, they have adopted the name the humans have given them as a simplier term to address them as. They are an original race that grew and lived on Tartessa before the humans arrived. Though their are several races of elves, they all share a human like appearance (even capable of breeding with them) , aside from a slightly smaller, slender, and more graceful frame with elongated point ears. Finely attuned to nature and spirits, they are believed the original fashioners of magic which was a gift given to them by the gods as legends go. They have taught most other races to use magic, even the humans. Their lifestyle is mostly secluded, spiritual, and disciplined. They openly deal with other races they have relations with and take other races with suspicion.

Dwarves (Turuuk) A brash and prideful race, dwarves are only found in Sylvannas and have made their mark upon it. They are incredible craftsmen, voracious warriors, and stalwart explorers. They are smaller in stature to humans, almost always bearded, broader, and definitely stronger. Despite their proud, agressive nature, they are one of the more social of the native races, openly meeting and greeting with others for trade or fun and are sometimes considered vital assets in war do to their sheer brute power and ferocity. They mostly have homes in amazing underground cities where they mine their metals and jewels and craft beautiful weapons, artifacts and pieces of art.

Animae During the age of magic 2500 years ago, a cult of priests attuned to nature called druids made deals with numerous gods and spirits of nature, some of them even sacrificing their own form to become something closer to their gods. These are the Animae, half animals, demi-humans, these races have features that resemble both human (or elf) and that of animals; which commonly is just furry ears and a tail (due to the amount of human blood mixed in), but there are a number of varieties, some including their whole body covered with fur, and their faces and limbs resembling the animals they take after. There are hundreds of different races;
Felanes which take after cats
Lupus which is wolves,
Puggles (moles)
Yaunti (snakes)
Thri Kreen (Praying Mantis')
Hogsiers (boars)
Neuclian (spider)
Tocanie (Parrots)
Furbles (Rabbits)
Urzas (Bears)
Melkis (Beeltes)
to name a few.
They are like humans in life style (they can learn magic) but are a bit more instinctual then humans are. While some live in urban settings, there are tribes and packs that live in the wilderness to be closer to their beast like breathren.

Demons Creatures of hell that came to this world during one of the ancient wars long ago before the humans arrived. These otherworldly creatures are nearly limitless in form and function. Some of them are merely beasts, while others are more intelligent then any mortal being. In truth though, most of the monsters that inhabit the land are acctually evolved forms of demons and could pretty much look like anything. The most common demon resembles a human with long pointed ears. While confused with animae or elves, the ears are in fact wider and shorter then elves'. Many of the common demons have small horns on their head or thin black tails. Since demons come from a world where the strongest survive, they tend to have one or more special ability besides a longer life. This could be magic or a natural power. Demons can be found anywhere, even Norgatto amoung the populace. There was a time where even unhostile demons were hunted and killed but that age has past. There still is those that believe all demons to be evil which has been proven time and time again to be untrue.

Types of Magic
Elemental/Arcane Most common magic. Utilizes the elemental forces around the magic with their own spiritual energy to commit devistating effects. Arcane refers to the very essence of energy and magic itself. Simple spells of this type require someone with basic intelligence to learn since the mind is closely tied to the spirit and a book but Mages who dedicate their life to learning magic or this art, become part of guilds and academies where they are instructed to mold the forces more accurately and effectively. This type of magic requires much diligent study to utilize and only those of above average intelligence or determination can master it. Any mage schooled in this can have incrediblely destructive or useful powers. However like most magics, the art of molding the world around you is quite taxing. As the spirit becomes drained of power, so does the body.

Sorcery There are a certain few in this world, whether through genetics or some divine gift, they are born with the ability to use magic. To them Magic is a talent more then a learned skill. These types of magic is similar to Elemental magic in affects except the mage is far more adept at using it in the long run and more efficiently. They still need to study and train to use spells but sorcerors are open to any art of magic if they devote themselves to it. A trained sorceror is a force to be reckoned with.

Enchanting/Illusionary While some learn the destructive art of magic, some learn how it works and how it interplays with the world around us. Enchanters have learned to tap into the very existence of magic itself. They have the power to change the flow of magic in all things to weaken in the form of curses or help in the form of blessings. Illusionary however is the art of manipulating the world around you to what you will. Though some may consider the effects not real or temporary, a master can make it so. Echanting/Illusionary spells have tied in with other arts, such as magical item crafting.

Nature A favorite amoung elves. Nature Mages... or Druids utilize the forces of nature to bend to their whim. The get their power from a kinship with the spirits of nature around them. They make pacts with spirits and call upon them when needed. Some of the affects are controling weather, basic elemental spells, calling upon animals, making plants grow, fight, etc, communicating with the spirits, plants, and animals.

Summoning Another art that is commonly intertwined with other arts. This art utilizes summoning circles or sacrifices to summon beasts and monsters. The summoner makes pacts with demons, spirits, or gods and can call upon them to do battle. It usually costs the user a little something more then spiritual energy and there is always a chance that a powerful summon will go mustang on the summoner.

Necromancy The magic of death and darkness. As there is magic in all living things, there is magic in souls, the dead, and the evil in things. Necromancers use this. Commonly they reanimate corpses or skeletons for protection while they study to further their power, they arent as limited as other summoners and can make armies of undead if they are powerful enough. They also have the powers to animate objects, mend flesh and heal wounds, or even bring those back from the dead.

***A note. It is possible to revive the dead if the body is still mildly intact and warm. Usually if a body is dead for more then a day it cannot be revived, nor can it be revived if the death was of old age. To revive, the mage would have to repair the damage, (remove any poison) to the body and use a tremendous amount of energy to recall the soul and place it in the body and reanimate it. (Other arts must need to be made if the damage is excess... ei Alchemy) If that is not possible, the corpse can be reanimated... but it will never be the same as it was in life and is usually at the necromancers call.***

Alchemy while most magic is proportional to understanding the arcane elements of the world, Alchemy is the understanding of science and matter. After years of study, an alchemist understands how to turn one substance into another which can be more useful then most realise. The common practice it to make a design called a transmutation circle with chalk for instance, and then concentrate, turning your own spiritual energy into something that affects the matter, causing the break down the substance and then reform it. Like everything their are limitations. Some transmutations are impossible, like you cant turn solid iron into something edible. The ingredients have to equal the product and you can never make more then you start with. No system is 100% efficient. Likewise, most magical items cannot be affected by normal alchemy.

Holy considered white magic, this type of magic is commonly used by priests of the civilized world. They are commonly used in healing and reviving which makes it a favorite to doctors, healers, and travelers. This type of magic can be used like elemental magic, but unlike that, this type of magic can be conjured by essentially borrowing the powers from a god. In prayer, priests can utilize the conjured power to preform the effects. It is less taxing on the person but is dependant on the persons conviction to their god. There are some offensive spells which is very effective against evil beings, like certain demons and undead.

Ninjutsu In the lands to the North West, isolated by treacherous mountains, terrible rivers, and scorching deserts, the teachings of magic never reached the ears of the travelers there attempting to escape persecution and tyranny of their formers kingdoms. As the world moved along, and those gifted in magics and swords moved in, the simple villagers had nothing to defend themselves but simple weapons and martial arts. However, in their training, they discovered the inner essence and flow of magic that exists in life. Harnessing the essence, that they call chakra, can make the user preform incredible feats that effect not only their body, but anything around them. Unlike other magics, this type of magic requires not only a sound mind and spirit, but a physical fitted body to retain and strengthen their chakra. The amount of effects is just as varied as other magics, and are learned through intensive training and practice. For better efficiency of molding chakra, the effect of Ninjutsu commonly requires the use of handsigns or body movements to help prepare it. Molding chakra is physically exhausting if used frequently or excessively, and like other magics, can be quite dangerous to both the target and user, depending upon the effect and preparation.

Song and Dance An older form of magic used by ancient tribes to help invoke the spirits and gods for some purpose. However certain words, phrases, songs, and even certain body movements seem to hold immense power. Some believe that magic was first utilized in such songs by ancient elven sages whom learned the words from the gods themselves. Nowadays, very few know any form song or dance magic, though spells that are made vocally in human or other tongues is still common place. Some gypsy families are familiars of this art and commonly use it as a way to make money by seducing a crowd but there are some songs that could heal all within earshot, and dances that can create and control certain elements in every aspect and degree. Of course there are dark songs as well and elemental dancers can be terribly destructive.

Technomagic The first form of magic to be used by Norgatto. This type of power is rare and is usually only known by specific castes of technomages, however military forces have been realising its combat effectiveness and thus has become more common place. Technomagic is not a general weaving of the universe around them, but merely a simulation of such effects through pieces of superscience. Most of this type of magic is centered around types of specifically smelted soulstone that is fastened into a type of rock that holds a magical property. This material is known as Elerock and used as a type of powercell, allows even an untrained user to preform the basic effects. It was made after the continents first meeting where Norgatto discovered this magic and since has been meaning to study it. The Elerock was their first breakthrough and is used until the secrets of magic are finally uncovered. Elerock is usually fastened into special noches on clothing and armor and can be removed and replaced by a different piece to preform a different spell. Of course, masters combine certain elerocks to boost the power of each specifically.

Terms, Items, and Objects

Soulstone The most valuable and efficient natural resounrce on the planet. Souldstone is similar to coal and is mined from underground, except its about 10x more fuel efficient and can be a fuel source, energy source, magical ingredient, or food source to certain creatures. Soulstone does it all, it is of great use in alchemic and magical research and experiments, is used for primitive machines and electrical systems in the more technological areas of Sylvannas and has been used for centuries to run cities in Norgatto. However there has not been without some peril. Some species of elves believes that soulstone is the blood of the planet since according to research appears to be acctual solidified magic since it amplifies the magical ability of those who are close to a large collection of it. Elves can sense the living spirit in the stone and believes that its use and mining is killing the planet. There were times when war almost broke out but thankfully another war prevented it. These days, Soulstone is used freely but there are certain mountains and mines of it that elves protect with their lives.

Arcanium The most powerful artifacts in known existence. They are a perfect blend of ancient super advanced technology, along with the powerful magics of an extinct species who managed to utilize both to acchieve godlike power. Arcanium is few, priceless, and powerful enough, that wars and countless lives were lost in order to acquire one. So far, only 8 pieces of Arcanium have been uncovered, but explorers believe that there might be more being protected by secluded tribes and lie within certain ruins. The pieces uncovered seem to hold one or more particular use that can do the impossible but even these items are not without their limits. One more well know Arcanium is dubbed, the Rebirth Cell which can bring anyone back from the dead regardless of time or body condition. It can only be used once every decade, or more, if the battery is charged by means of living energy from a person, (the battery will be fully charged if the person gives away all of his living essence, but in turn he dies) or is offered a massive amount of soulstone. Another Arcanium, the Philosopher's Stone as described in legends, offers alchemic powers without limit. One could turn an entire castle into pure gold with but a wave of his hand. It was believed to have been destroyed for the greater good, and since then, some fanatics have pored their lives into trying to make another such artifact after their were rumors of a few people getting close.

more to come.***

Elune 34th, 3002 AL

Hey, just recording my daily log. Me and Seigfred arrive in Sturacka this morning. It wont be long till we reach the so called, 'front lines' Of course were not planning to become a part of it. I feel bad, the country is kinda peaceful with its rolling fields, patches of lush forests, and clear skies. The Alliance is losing ground, it wont be long till these plains are burned in the fires of war. A shame. But we have other business here. Were a few more days away from Aeria Valley...

"Taerus, get your nose out of that thing and help me."

... If we can get our wagon fixed... and our horses back.

"Yeah Im coming." Taerus and his companion, a rough and tumble smuggler from Norgatto named Seigfred hit a bit of a snag when the wagon they bought hit a pit and the axel broke. In the chaos of the thing falling apart, their horses took advantage of broken reigns and ran off. unable to give chase, they had no choice but to fix the thing, then worry about the things pulling it.

Seigfred managed the repairs while Taerus provided the manual labor, lifting the bulk of it while he put the wheels back on. Needless to say, neither of them were too thrilled about what happened.

With his back on the dusty road, he screwed in the nuts and bolts holding the wood in place. "I hate this place."

"Yeah I know, everything back home is made of metal. Just hurry, this thing is starting to get heavy."

"What are we up here for? We got atleast 20 jobs back at the place, and i doubt were even gonna find any towns out here.

"I had a thought the other day, its too much of a hassel to walk back and forth across the world. Especially since we can only do jobs in the places that were in. I want our little business partnership to be big. What we need, is not only more people, but a moble office to work from."

"You want to make a company. Your not thinking..."

"Yep, were going to the Aeria Valley skyport and getting ourselves an airship."

"Thats atleast a few weeks away. And longer if we cant find a steed that doesnt run off when we hit a bump. Not to mention from what I read, its impossible to get too unless you can fly there."

"Theres mercenary towns the whole way, its not like were with the alliance, just a couple of guys getting a crew."

"Its still a pain in the a** to get too."

"Once we get it, well get a hundred times more jobs and get them done quick. Youll be rich, and Ill get that damn machine. Everyone wins." Taerus was really pushing him for the idea, Seigfred finally shrugged and continued his work. Finally he signaled and Taerus let the thing down. "Nice, now all we need is those things."

Seigfred was dusting himself off as he looked into the distance , nothing but rolling hill and tall grass seemed to greet them. An endless sea of yellow, with patches of green here and there. Taking out some binoculars he had a quick glance. "And we only have an entire country side to look."

Taerus sighed. "Better get started then, well split up and..."

"Hold it..." he grabbed Taerus as he just started to walk off. "I have a better idea. Take a look." He held up the binoculars for Taerus to peer through. Way off in the distance there appeared to be a number of fires and tents set up. "Looks like a caravan."

Taerus smiled before taking an eye patch from his pocket. "Possibly refugees, better then sleeping out here at any rate. Lets go." Taerus finally thought his luck was turning around.

The soft hiss of a snake seemed to stick out amoung th quiet camp fires of the caravan. It's not always you see a yaunti woman with a bunch of human people. She stuck out quite a bit, always coiled into her long red tail, her pale greenish skin on her torso alway reflected the firelight which she loved so much, so she always had a hand out to feel the flames, even when she was reading one of those awful books from that technological wasteland built by the humans.

She couldn;t help it, she was a fan of litterature, after all, she was one of very few of her face that could actually read anything, let alone that print that the humans loved so much in those cities of metal and constant heat. She may be cold blooded, but she enjoyed the feel of a fires warmth over the reflected sun rays anyday.

Right now she was settled into her coils, her torso sticking out from the top as she read her book, her back to the fire and her tail fiddling with a small peice of grass that she had plucked earlier that day, planning to weave a small basket. But... she had given up on the task in favor of reading... again.

The Caravan was peaceful, a bunch of nomads leading a group of villagers who had escaped from the attacks. There was a littlle more then 300 crammed into the large camp of tanish square tents. There was no quarrel amung the residents. Adults prepared for the night, hitching up the animals, patching clothing, and stewing the brews, while kids of human, animae, and other races played about in the waning glow of the setting sun and lamps. One such instance, a few were playing ball by the snake woman when one threw it too high, the ball rolled and stopped right behind her book. The nearest child smiled and waved his hand for it back, his innocent eyes twinkling behind an almost cat like face.

Meanwhile, Taerus had just put on his long red coat as the temperature began to get colder. His eye patch was firmly strapped and was covering his right one. Seigfred on the other hand had a ratty brown one that helped him blend in quite easily. He kept his hands in his pocket and looked about, a cigerette still burning in his mouth (yes Tartessa has tobacco)

"This place smells." Seigfred commented as he passed a pair of lakodoes, which resembled massive reptilian rhinoceri whom bellowed as they slowly ate a bail of hay. "We still might have to sleep under the stars tonight."

"I was right, these just look like run aways. Maybe we can ask around about a safe passage through the curtain."

"You can take care of that. Ive been out of ale for a few hours now. Later man." Seigfred sulked off in a random direction. He walked slowly onward, taking occasional drags from his cigerettes.

Tabbe was crouched on the forest floor trying vainly to start a fire to make her dinner. It was a very nice forest lots of tall old trees and plenty of deadwood to burn. Unfortunetly it had rained rather heavily that morning, It even got all my nice fur wet. and she was unable to start any of the wood she had gathered.

"Grrrr." It didn't help that the trees were laughing at her, this forest contained many Ash trees and those were especially merry. Tabbe, having failed to start the fire even with the aid of the flint she was carrying and the dry tinder had decided that nothing less then an invocation would work. This was dangerous as it would likely flare up brightly when first lit and, perversly, that would immendiatly start the whole forest ablaze. For this reason she continued to strike the flint, as she really didn't feel like raw fish for dinner.

The whole situation was made only more miserable by the fact that her fur was wet and the robe was sitting very uncomfortably on it. Besides that she hadn't found anyone for several days besides humans. It seems there are numbers without counting of them. They looked so cold and helpless, she missed the bright variety of people on her home island where it was warm and dry and comfortable and...Her unhappy musings were cut short when the fire caught and she had to crouch down to breathe on it.

Her mood made inordinetly brighter by the fact that her dinner of fresh-caught salmon was now cooking over the fire, and that the fire was pleasently warm drying out her fur. Since she had no one to talk to and nothing pressing she lay back watching the stars between the tree branches. "Hope the fish hurry up" she remarked to a passing bird as her stomach rumbled loudly.

Tabbe didn't mind being alone in the forest, the sounds of crickets, squirls and other passing nightime creatures, including a rather impressive sounding owl, were comforting rather then lonely, but the breeze brought the faint sounds of distant laughter and music. Perhaps a caravan? Despite preferring to avoid them she thought she would run into them tomorrow, but she had been meaning to get more travel cakes, and some bread would be nice ... doubtless the caravan would have some member with a minor illness or broken bone that she could heal in return for the things she needed.

Realizing her fish were burning she pulled them off the fire scourching her fingers in the process. "Ouch! Hot hot!" She dropped the stick that had been holding the fish onto the ground. Ah well, a little dirt never hurt anyone.

Her dinner done, Tabbe curled up by the remains of her fire, which was dying down to sleep. She didn't have a blanket but didn't really need one either, her fur and the robe kept her warm enough. With the fire it would be plenty despite the coolness of the night. Making sure that her walking stick was close in case she needed it, Tabbe went right to sleep, confident that should anything unnatural approach she would wake up.

The snake woman's eyes lifted from her book and she smiled. Her ruby red tail snaked around the ball and tossed it into the air once or twice before she tossed it back to the boy. "Have fun little onessss..." she murmured before turning her sights back to the book she had.

She turned over slightly in her coils so she was reading with the book's cover pointed toward the sky, her amber eyes gazing at the different constilations, "Huuu...."

Tempest the Timekeeper
The snake woman's eyes lifted from her book and she smiled. Her ruby red tail snaked around the ball and tossed it into the air once or twice before she tossed it back to the boy. "Have fun little onessss..." she murmured before turning her sights back to the book she had.

The child caught it and smiled happily. "Thank you lady!" before he proceeded in kicking it to his other friends.

Taerus meanwhile almost ran tripped over them, but moving his body weight he allowed them to rush by before continuing to look about for anyone that seemed to be intelligent and friendly. So far no such luck. His coat gave him away that he wasnt part of the caravan. His bright coat and white hair stood out way too much compared to the tan and brown clothes and robes everyone seemed to be wearing. Please the questions he asked would give rise to suspicion since it made it seem that he acctually wanted to get to the battlefield. Taerus could only conclude that he must be mistaken for one of Tyrant lord's spies trying to make it back to report Alliance military movements. Obviously none seemed to like the north at the moment, since they started the war. He was generally a nice guy so being glared like that by people who noticed him made him a little uneasy.

Desperate, he began to ask anyone who seemed to be not doing anything of utmost importance. Most of his questions were always followed by. 'Why would you want to go up there?' or 'Your not one of the his soldiers are you?' to which Taerus would always reply with a forced smile. "No really, Im just trying to see if a friend of mine is okay." None of them bought his lie since his eyepatch meant that hes seen combat.

Next on his road of disappointment was a serpent woman with a long tail stretched out on a long piece of a fur sheet, practically buried in books. Her hair gave away the gender though thankfully. Taerus straightened up and tried to look as pleasant as possible, he wiped a bit of hair over the right half of his face. "Umm... excuse me mame, do you have a moment?"

Snake eyes sighed quietly, yet another interuption to her reading. She looked up at the man and had to smile, "Yes, I can answer your questions..." she muttered quietly, all traces of the lisp exibited to the child gone. "After all, dressed as you are, you couldn't possibly be here for anything other than asking questions..." She sat up till she settled at about an average man's hight, her version of standing, and smiled wider at him.

He had to sigh slightly when he was reminded what he already knew. However it was nice to see someone who wasnt suspicious of him, however he just had to wait for how she reacted. "Yeah, your right, im just passing through for right now. Listen, I have to see if a friend of mine is okay behind enemy lines. Do you know if there is anyway past the battlefront so i wont accidentally get killed trying to get through?"
