The team has been split up to patrol the city and take care of any negative reactions to the president's speach. Soon, those reactions start happening. Bolt notifies the group that he's fighting one angry mutant, but he can handle it. The next contact, however, comes from Pulverizer. A magic-user, very powerful, more than his strength can handle... he's throwing spells around and keeping him out of range, and deflecting anything he can throw. He calls in backup.

"Magic. Joy of a thousand joys..." Mercy mutters to herself and then pipes up over her communicator.
"Matty, this is Starbright...where's the fire at? I'm en route, wherever it be."

"Hey guys, if you hear me UNH!, I am having a bit of trouble down here. Some sort of mage- I cannot get close to him. Not sure where I am anymore,so if YIKES!!!! you can vector on my signal, I could use a hand."

Amethyst responds, saying she's got a bit of a situation, but it's under control. She'll be there to help with Pulverizer's situation within a few minutes.

Starbright's communicator went silent as she began plipping in and out of space, teleporting to the targetted position as quickly as possible.

The mage uses his telekinesis to throw some pieces of the road toward Pulverizer, though they're fairly easily dodged.
"The revolution will not be stopped! Our kind will not be oppressed! Stay back, traitor!"
He then chants a few words in Latin, throwing some red sand on the ground.

Johan's blast dissolves into an invisible shield the mage has put up around himself.
"No... it is you who are making things worse! All of you... you claim to protect, but you hunt your own kind! It's us against them, don't you see that??"
He waves a a string of small animal bones over the dust he just put on the floor, making a rattling sound and speaking some more Latin.

A flash of white light later, and the erstwhile "Star" is perched on the ledge of a nearby building, watching the scene unfold below for a few moments. Seeing her teammates bunkered down and the enraged mutant flinging telekinetic projectiles at them, the girl makes up her mind.
"Alright sucker...just don't look up..."
She steps off the building, re-orients her teleport, and lines up a white-hot glowing fist to the side of the magician's head after a few more 'ports to control her velocity.
((+11 to hit, +10 L damage))

The magic-user holds up a hand as Starbright comes down, stopping her in mid-air. He then throws her toward Pulverizer. As they colide, Starbright makes a damage save.
