PLOT:

There was once a prosperous kingdom in the land of Gale, ruled by a King that was loved by all of his subjects. Unlike the chaos that took place outside of its walls, Gale was a peaceful land. For almost one thousand years Gale has stood strong. Of course, Gale had the power to spread and conquer, but they were a peaceful people and wished to do no such thing.

During this time, humans were the elite race. Of course, without their weapons they would be nothing, but because of their brilliant minds, no other creature could stand up to them. The humans however, had grown corrupt over the years, wanting nothing more but dominance over everything; the Kingdom of Gale seemed to be the only hope for the purity of humans. Many of the human kingdoms had brought some of the other races that filled the world to extinction and forced others into hiding. Others however had been able to retaliate. But it would not be long before they fell. The humans, wanting to become more powerful so that they could destroy the remaining races, saw Gale's prosperity and tried reason with them to join their cause. But the King and people of Gale wanted nothing of their kindred's greed. Seeing them as traitor's (and wanting their power), the humans outside of Gale's walls tried to conquer them and claim it as their own. But every kingdom had been unsuccessful everytime.

So, in order to grow stronger, they were forced to fight amongst themselves, trying to conquer one another's kingdoms so that they could one day conquer Gale, which would in turn give them complete control and allow them to dominate the world.

However, as they fought amongst themselves, the other races that had been able to survive watched and waited as the humans destroyed themselves. As one would suspect, every other race despised humans because of their power and how they mis-treated it. They had however, always respected Gale because of their kindness. But, due to the plans of the humans outside of its walls, the Kingdom of Gale was now their enemy. If the corrupted humans were able to take Gale, then there would be no hope in stopping them spread across the land and killing off other races. So their only hope was to take over Gale themselves so that they could protect themselves

.... that was when a mysterious figure appeared on the gates of Gale....

The newcommer was definately not human, so the people of Gale allowed him in and in time, the creature, who called himself Asawrath, became quite popular. As the years passed, Asawrath had gone up the ranks and soon became the King's personal favorite, soon making him Head Knight of his dorment army. Everybody loved Asawrath; the army soon became quite enthralled with him. If he told them to destroy Gale, they most likely would...

However, one of the King's daughters Feona, had a dream. She had dreamt of Asawrath's true identity. He was, as he stated, not human. However, his intentions were not pure. He had planned to enter Gale and rise in popularity, as he had done so, so that he could take over the army and hopefully overthrow their Kingdom. And in horror, she watched as Asawrath and her father's army destroy her father's kingdom in her dream. Feona, of course, along with her sister Violet had incredible powers and had been used on many occassions to help the Kingdom by seeing into the future; they were one of the main reasons why Gale was so prosperous. As soon as she awoke, she had told her sister Violet of her dream. The strange thing was, Violet had also had a similiar dream. The two sisters soon decided that they had to worn their father, the King, of what they had seen. However, Asawrath, during his time in the Kingdom, had learned of the powers of both of the princess'. So, for a situation such as this, he had hired a spy. The spy had overheard the princesses' discussion and instantly went to Asawrath and told him that he had been discovered...

Before the two princesses had time to reach their father, they had run into Asawrath and a few of his men. There was a fierce battle, but, with their powers, they were able to kill his men. Asawrath tried to kill them, but they were too powerful. Before they had a chance to kill him, the creature chanted a spell that sent them far into the dark forest, miles from Gale. Now the two sisters must make their way back through the treacherous land, past the corrupt humans and the desperate remaining races. Will they find a friend on the way who will feel compassion for them? Will they make it back to the castle in time before Asawrath lays siege on the castle, allowing all the other races to take control?

STARTING POINT:

I would like this roleplay to focus around both Violet and Feona. This is going to be a different type of rp where I will act as "problems" both of the princesses will encounter. The other people that will join can be friends they meet on the way (which is prefered). But if you want to be the King, Arawrath, other races, the King's subjects, a soldier of the King's/Arawrath's army, that is fine. The rp begins in the dark forest..... what is next?

Ummm... I think we all know the rules lol. We all have roleplayed with eachother.

The forest was dense with thick branches that blocked out all light from the sun; it was an everlasting night that seemed to have the ability to reach into ones heart and suck out all the happiness. Within that lack of all positive thought one would expect that nothing could live here. But, there were unmistakenably creatures that lived in this forest. For one could hear noises, strange noises caused from the vocal chords of a beast or the movement of one from all around. Was there anyway to escape from this horrible place? Of course, there was no way of knowing. For no human had ever dared venture this deep into the Dark Forest. But here they were, the two Princesses of the Kingdom of Gale, lost, torn from their homeland and cast into this dreary world....

Cold blue eyes with a cynical expression. Built cat-like, lean, compact, wiry. Dueling scars show pale on her hands and when visible her arms.
***************************
Fear sent Aryssa upright in her sweat soaked sheets. Her shoulders were tense and she had flicked the dagger from her wrist sheath into her hand without even being fully conscious. Nothing stirred in the small attic room in above the inn. Downstairs some floors the riotous sound of carousing was still going on in spite of it growing closer to sunrise than sunset. With a sigh she tucked back her knife into it's sheath. It had been that dream again. A voice beckoning from far away, a cloaked figure, staying teasingly out of reach, urging her to follow. Each night this for the last several months she'd been chasing this phantom and each night Aryssa got a little closer. All the while she had a sense of danger, that there was something in the shadows hunting her. Then tonight, she'd finally caught up with the specter in her dream, seized their cloak hem. When the hood had fallen back, it had been own image returning her gaze. But not her as she'd ever been. A freakish twist of her subconscious had made her into a noble woman instead of a street rat. Long silky curls had framed smooth, ivory skin, and the eyes! They were the most unreal part. No pupil was discernible, from lash to lid just a glowing pool of amethyst fire burned like an ember caught within a jewel. She didn't know what it meant or what kind of games her sleeping mind was playing. Was it the stress? She'd heard of fighters cracking up when they reached their peak, when all the up and comers were looking to take them down, but never thought it would happen to her. Aryssa had nerves of steal, born from a childhood picking pockets and honed during time spent in many of the gangs that sprung up in all the dark alleyways. Having finally made it to the big time, a professional duelist she'd thought she had it made. Easy money. Rich cowards paid her to fight in their stead, or when the guard was cracking down on duels, she could pick up some money pit fighting. Now she worried she was losing her nerve. There was no use trying to go back to sleep. With a studied efficiency Aryssa shrugged into her leathers and left her room. The back stair was dark but exited onto the stables. Her roan, her pride, the beauty that she'd scrimped for months to afford gave a whinny of affection as the mare caught her scent. Worth every penny the woman thought as she gave the horse a pat and saddle her up. Keeping an eye on the shadows until she left the city behind for the open land to the north of town, Aryssa let mare have take the bit and fly. She was as eager to go tonight as her mount. The night wind cleared her head and blew the last shreds of her nightmare away. Meadows soon gave way to trees and before Aryssa even realized she'd enter the forest.

The dark cloaked general slowly staggered into his chambers, leaving a trail of blood behind him which flowed from a large wound in his side. The man's hand clutched the contorted flesh, causing the blood to leak onto his black leather gloves. But he didn't care; he was in too much pain to have realize that they were ruined. Not only that, but the wound, in which he was clutching, had in fact been covered origionally by mythrill armor; a metal that was believed to be unpenetrable. But it was quite clear that it had been achieved, for it appeared as though a huge beast just ripped it apart as if it was just paper. In frustration, the man slammed the huge wooden doors shut, leaving him in the darkness of his room. As soon as this was achieved, the general slowly took off the ruined chest plate of mythrill and threw it to the ground, fully exposing his wound. With a grunt, the dark cloaked figure threw himself onto his bed, his hand still holding the wound which continued to flow forth down the side of his bed, onto the ground. In time, a puddle of blood formed at his feet, filling the chambers with the eerie sound of dripping liquid, as the blood continued to enlargen the puddle.

The wound, however, was the least of the general's problems; he was going to have to explain to the King where his daughters had disappeared to. But, of course, he had already formulated a plan which the King would hopefully believe. Still, if it did in fact work, it was not going to be easy facing the King's wrath. Hopefully the King would loose his hold on peace and begin a huge war. If not, then his trial would have been in vain. Cursing once more, Arawrath lifted himself from his bed and slowly opened the doors to his chambers once more and made his way to the throne room...

Name: Feona
Appearance: Feona has long locks of smooth, raven hair. They fall just below her shoulder, and are often found up in some sort of intricate styling. Icy blue eyes peer out from the delicate features of her face. Few scars can be seen upon her fair skin. Her body is, like her sister's, lean and fit. It's as if the two were built to face such trials.

==============================================

[[ I'm not entirely sure how to start this... Hrm. ]]

The light blue eyes of the elder princess fluttered open slowly, her head not on any lacey pillow or blanket as she was accustomed. A number of sharp rocks and clumps of grass sat below her flowing hair instead, as the young woman lay sprawled across the ground of the eerie forest. Slowly she sat up, too disoriented to be alarmed just yet. One of her hands traveled to the back of her head where a good-sized bump was aching. Sighing, she rubbed it, before allowing her slender, groomed hands to drop to the forest floor.
'What...what happened?' She thought, her mind only able to work halfway as she slowly regained conciousness.

As she realized where she was... or where she wasn't, rather, she became more alarmed. Her heartbeat began to speed up inside of her chest, as her eyes moved about in a frenzied state of panic. Bringing herself awkwardly to her feet, the princess Feona paused.
"That son of a..." She whispered, remembering the last thing she had witnessed before she blacked out. They had been fighting the liar. Asawrath had put her there... and most likely her sister as well.

Her eyes suddenly widened. She needed to get to her father, needed to warn him of the terror Asawrath intended to bring upon him and the kingdom... but she didn't even know how to begin. Feona began to look around frantically for Violet. Rarely did she do anything without consulting her sister at the very least. Usually, she was "attached to her sister at the hip".

The centaur had been traveling for quite sometime now. In fact, he had forgotten how long he had indeed been traveling, loosing count around the second month or so. Where he had begun in his journey, was in a land far away from Gale, in a village he had once called home. His village, which his people had called Bela, had been attacked by one of the tribes of humans that wished to destroy all other races. Due to their superior knowledge of technology, they were able to completely destroy everything and everyone. Without their knowledge of such things, the centaurs would have won without a doubt, since they were much stronger and had the speed of a horse. But against a crossbow, they were useless. And now, the centaur wondered alone, trying to find food and shelter.

The centaur, whose name had been Hindar, had been traveling none stop for the past few days, too afraid to sleep. He had been traveling with a companion, a dear close friend, who had unfortunately been killed a few days before when they had unintentionally run into a traveling band of humans. They both had almost escaped, but his friend, before they had time to reach the forest, had been shot five times, three shots in the leg and two in his back. He had fallen to the ground and had ordered Hindar to continue. And the last thing he saw of his friend was the humans bearing down upon his body, axes and blades in hand...

Hindar closed his eyes, trying to block out the memories. He was so tired; tired of traveling, tired of his memories that haunted him nonstop. Sighing, the creature laid himself out in the middle of the forest, his eyes beginning to fail him as he lowered his head towards the ground. However, before he had time to drift off, a sound erupted from the silence. Immediatley, the centaur rose to his feet, his eyes darting back and forth. The sound had been that of a wolf, not too far from where he stood. There had been a time when centaurs and wolves lived in harmony, but now things were different; it was every beast for himself. As Hindar moved around, trying to get a better view, the wolf launched out from the darkness and sprang onto the centaur's back, throwing him to the ground...

Feona was caught by surprise at the sounds of growling and yelping. She didn't like the forest... not one bit. The fact that Asawrath has sent them here of all places was simply cruel. She slowly crept around a few trees, peering about carefully as she searched for the sounds. Hoping not to find an injured or dying animal, she was a bit hesitant as the sounds grew closer and closer. At last she spotted the source of the noises- a horse-man was under attack from a vicious forest creature. The canine was merciless and quick, apparently having caught the centaur offguard.

'That's hardly what I'd call a fair fight...' She thought, her bravery rising a bit as the two creatures sprawled. Crouching down to the forest floor, the princess began to draw enormous runes around herself of questionable nature. Once they were quickly and intricately etched into the dirt, her eyes began to dart around for something- anything with a sharp edge. However, her attempts were futile, for she found nothing as pointed as she needed.

Rising back to her feet, Feona frowned. 'It's still not right.' She thought, lifting a rather hefty rock from the ground. She chucked it at the wolf with all her might, and she watched it hit the beast right on the jaw. It whimpered and growled even louder as she reached for another rock...

Before the girl had entered the area in which the centaur and wolf fought, the horse-man had been trying to reason with the creature as the wolf continued to tear away at his flesh. Hindar hated what had become of his people and the other creatures that had once lived in harmony with them, just like the wolves and the horse-men. There had been a time when one would not attack the other, for they all gave to nature and shared equally of its benefits. But since the humans arrived, all of the forests' races had been thrown into a pit of chaos, living only on their instincts, not caring about the old ways that had once been so important to them; survival of their own species was all that was important to them. And that was what had happened to the wolf whose jaws were now clamped upon the centaur's back, causing blood to drip from the wound it had created, while Hindar tried to knock it off by slamming his figure against trees that might serve as a weapon. "Oh wolf, why do you attack me? We were once friends who could live with eachother... why let the hatred engulf you?" The wolf, whose mouth was pinned to the flesh of the centaur, did not answer before he was thrown off. But instead of the answer Hindar wanted, the wolf gave him something he had not been expecting.

"Survival is all that is important to me now. I do not care for our alliance, for the life of myself and of my kin are more important. So, the life of just one centaur for the lives of many wolves is of little consequence. Just think, you will be serving a better cause!" And with those last words, the wolf charged and clamped its jaws onto Hindar's front leg, causing him to fall forward as blood gushed from the wound. "But... the laws of the forest..."

"Damn the laws of the forest," retorted the wolf, as he attempted to slice the centaur's neck, who was now holding him back with his arms as best he could. If it had not been for the rock which had hit the wolf on the jaw, the centaur would have most likely been killed. Whimpering, the wolf turned to face the girl, its fangs bared as it growled menacingly, taking a few steps towards her. From the back of the wolf, the centaur cried out, trying to rise to his feet. "No! Save yourself from this creature! He no longer thinks as we do. He has lost himself in hatred and despair and now knows nothing of compassion and reason!" But as he spoke those words, the wolf launched himself at the girl, its jaws wide open for the feeding...

The rock fell from Feona's grasp as the wolf's powerful jaws clamped down upon her arm. She had fallen to the ground as he gnawed at her, and warm blood had begun to trickle from the wound. However, the beast didn't realize that he was giving her just what she needed. As her blood began to leak upon the ground, the intricate design she had drawn was soaking in the liquid. It suddenly began to glow a deep crimson as the symbols faded into a large, bright circle.

From the light, a large creature was brought. It appeared to be made of shadows, a glowing blue mist surrounded it, showing the shape of the mass that was it's body. Shackles hung around it's wrists, and demonic purple eyes glowed angrily from it's head. Charging the wolf, this summoned entity only needed one swipe of it's arm to throw the creature into a nearby tree.

Feona hurried to her feet and began to draw again as the strange shadowy creature kept the wolf at bay. She used her already bloodied arm to activate this ring. From it, a long, black stave arose. Laid into the black wood were glowing gems of red and gold, and atop, a red orb in what appeared to be a grasping skeletal hand. She took the weapon in her right hand and swung it about in odd patterns, once the wolf was incapacitated.

The summoned shadow creature vanished with a swipe of her stave, and Feona approached the wolf and crouched before it.
"I understand your views, beast, but there are other ways to survive."

Hearing the distant howl of a beast, Aryssa pulled up her steed and tried to gauge where the sound had come from. It was so different here than in the noisy crowded city where there was ambient sound even in the wee hours and the tall close stone buildings made for strange echoes. When a new flurry of snarls, impacts, and shouting started up she thought she could find her way to it. The roan fussed, not wanting to venture off the path in the dark. Aryssa leaned over and stroking it's neck and telling her what a good mare she was. The horse took heart and at last obeyed the rein.
Though the undergrowth impeded them they soon came to a clearing where a wolf, woman and centaur did battle. Aryssa could hardly believe her eyes. The stuff of stories, a being of magic, a actual centaur. She'd heard tales about them, along with other fantastical races but had thought they had long since been driven far from the borders of mens lands. Despite the fact centaurs were supposed to be crude and brutish, she'd always felt a sliver of sympathy for them, and all the other magical beings. They like her, where much maligned underdogs fighting for a place in the world, to simply survive. But this was not an opinion she could voice aloud.
Now here was one right before her.
The woman and the wolf were almost as unusual. The creature was large and shaggy as a small pony with fangs as long as her finger, slavering and held still in a web of arcane energy as the woman blooded but undaunted crouched before it glowing staff in hand.
Sense told her to turn her mount and gallop away at speed before some strange ill befell her. But there was something about the woman that struck her like a blow and froze her to the spot as her brain tried to make reason of what her senses told her. She knew this person, yet at the same time Aryssa knew she had never laid eyes on her before.

The centaur had not been expecting help and had thus already accepted the fact that death was upon him; that the end of his struggling existance would be no more. But as the wolf tore away at his flesh from his struggling body, causing his blood to bubble forth from the many wounds the creature inflicted upon him, someone else appeared in the forest, causing the wolf to turn and face that newcommer. In pain and slightly delirious, due to the agony that wracked his system, the centaur rose his head to see who had come to his rescue. At first, once he had spotted the one whose name was Feona, Hindar thought that he had lost his mind. For he believed that he had seen a human and all the humans he had known had gone fowl and greedy; the only kind-hearted humans he had heard about were the ones in the Kingdom of Gale. But Gale was miles and miles away from them. So could there be still a group of humans that wished to save them?

Cursing, the centaur attempted to rise to his hooves, but, due to the damage he had sustained, the attempt was futile. With a crash, the creature landed back onto the ground, now covered in the blood that surrounded his image. As Hindar began to loose conciousness, the centaur could sense a summoned spell occuring. It had great power and would no doubt kill the wolf. But would she then use it upon him as well? That had to be the case. She was just going to kill both of them since they were already weak from their own battle. Sighing, the centaur closed his eyes. But just before he did, Hindar could have sworn that another human seated on a horse had entered the fray. Not knowing what was happening, the centaur faded out of conciousness...
------------
As the centaur struggled to stay alive, the wolf, who had just been thrown into a tree, slowly got up to its feet, but with much effort. Growling, the wolf attempted to try and make his way over to his attacker, but his limbs were bruised and some of his bones were broken, making it impossible. With a whimper, the wolf fell to its knees, its golden eyes glaring at the one known as Feona. The wolf clamped its jaws in response to the human's words, causing saliva to drip forth from its fangs. "Filthy vermin. How dare you speak to me of survival. Your kin are the ones who are taking away our options; there is only one way to live now and that is to live off the energy of others. There is no more peace; your people have made sure of that." The wolf growled once more as it tried to pull its bruised figure towards the human...

Feona shook her head sorrowfully at the beast's response. "That is a shame, that you would be so narrow minded. That you would generalize as such." She spoke with a hint of pity wavering in her tone. As the creature fell back to the ground, it's eyes staring up at her angrily, Feona brought herself to her feet and approached him.

"I don't believe in this sort of misery, and if the pain doesn't, your hate will consume you if I leave you as such." She said, pulling her stave above her head. "Close your eyes and I will end your misery and your struggle." She then, in turn, shut her eyelids. With a spin and a plunge of the sharpened stave, Feona ended the beast's life quickly and with little effort on her part. She then retracted the weapon and sighed, eyelids fluttering open once more. Sitting back onto her feet before the dead creature, she reached out and ran her hand across it's thick fur, a strange glowing energy following her fingers as they moved. 'May your soul be at peace, troubled creature.'
A bright light enveloped the corpse, as the traslucent spirit ascended from the body and into the treetops.

Turning to face the injured centaur, Feona approached him with caution. Not sure what she could do to help him other than clean it's wounds, she began to bite her lower lip slightly- a habit she had developed. One that she had had since she was a small child...
Reaching out her hand, she began to carefully examine the injuries.

Hindar had been lost in a dreamless sleep; a state of being that tried to protect him from the pain that he would feel if he was awake. However, as the moments past, the creature began to awaken, for the agony in which his body now had to struggle through was bringing him back to conciousness; he was going to return to a world of pain and suffering, a world he had been trying to escape from for so long. Slowly, the centaur's eyes fluttered open, revealing to him the human girl he had seen fighting the wolf before he had fainted. However, she was no longer fighting the wolf, but was instead, kneeling over him, examining the wounds he had sustained from the skirmish earlier. Had she defeated the wolf?

At that moment, even though it had tried to kill him, Hindar's eyes began to water. It was not the wolf's fault he had become the way he did. It was driven by the hatred the human's created in their quest for world domination, throwing all other creatures into their wake. And yet, here was a human tending another creature's wounds; a non-human. Gasping from the pain, the centaur lifted his head to stare at the girl. It was then that he noticed that there was something different about her. It was not something that he could see or notice at first glance; it was something he could sense. After staring for a few moments, he could feel it as it radiated from her image. Whatever it was, she possessed an element in which all other humans seemed to lack. Curious and confused, the centaur spoke, breaking the silence that had lasted ever since the wolf had been silenced. "Tell me, oh human. Why do you help me if I am not like you? Why do you tend to my wounds when your people try and inflict them upon those that are not like them? What allows you to see past the shades that covers the eyes of your kin; a blind which no one else is able to remove but yourself?"
PostPosted: Mon Oct 16, 2006 12:27 pm

Feona was surprised as the centaur awoke, careful not to pain him any more by touching his wounds. She felt a bit odd as he stared at her, seemingly examining her very soul with his prying eyes. She looked away to his wounds for a moment as he spoke to her, trying her hardest to find his answer. Although she wasn't entirely sure how to respond to him, she attempted in her efforts not to anger or offend the creature.

"I don't think I am able to answer your questions in a fullness that you would like..." She began, speaking softly and almost timidly. "All I can say is that I have experienced degrees of suffering not only through personal experience, but in strange dreams that come to me during the hours of the night that are meant to be peaceful. Suffering that I know pains your kind as well as the other creatures who reside in the woods and across the land." As she spoke, Feona found herself unsure of her own words. Why had she helped? Why hadn't she taken the oppertunity to run, to attempt to save her father and the kingdom? She had her own questions to answer as well...

"I suppose..." She paused, biting her lip once more. Sighing, she continued. "I suppose my eyes are always open to everything... something strange that has been since my birth. It is not so much that I am able to remove the blind, the shade you speak of, as much as the fact that I don't believe it has ever been there."

((Do you want to wait for Fey or do you want to rp a little more?))

The centaur nodded as she spoke, trying to block out the pain that continued to course through his entire being. She seemed so wise for a human, so out of place from the horrific creatures that tried so hard to end the lifes of those that were not born like them. It was almost as if she herself was not a human, another being trapped in the body the Creator had given her. What must it be like for her, living among those that brought her up, made her who she was and loving her, but then turning around and killing pointlessly just for their own corrupt ways? The centaur sighed, lowering his head back to the ground, too weak to continue the conversation. Had she not have come to his rescue, he would have died; he would be another victim of the horrors that now ruled the land in which they lived in.

It was then, as he lay on the ground, that a question came to mind. Why was she in the forest? A forest so far away from any human civilization? Something immediately did not feel right when he continued to think about her reasons for being in the forest. Without bothering to lift his head, the centaur spoke once more, but this time with a lot less strength than, due to the fact he was loosing much of it.
