Ok...I put this in romance because I can see this turning into a tragic romance considering the year. The Azuchimomoya Ma period lasted from 1568 to 1600 and this takes place in June of 1575. By this time, Nobunaga Oda was beginning reuniting Japan, Christianity was a target of prejudice, and Kyoto is the capital of Japan. This will start in June and progress through the story if we really want to take notice of that. The plot is our for the making...make up a backstory for your character and you never know who might join them. I want this RP to be as realistic as possible so these are the rules:

1.) All rules of injury and death apply.
2.) This is historical fiction so make up your own story to match historical events.
3.) Create the right roles for the right gender but don't get the wrong idea, there's a list below. Also, please don't put a picture with modern day attire without giving a description of historical clothes they wear.
4.) Keep serious relationships to PMs.

Male Positions
Daimyo (lords...for those who want to be in charge of a portion of Japan)
Shinobi (generally from a clan, you can create your own ninja clan)
Samurai (obviously, master swordsmen who serve daimyos in their armies)

Female Positions
Lady (more than likely the wife or intended wife to a daimyo, always acknowleged as 'Lady [insert name]')
Kunoichi (female ninjas, feel free to be the leader of your own clan with this one)
Lady Samurai (would probably use a naginata over a sword)
Geisha (not too sure if they were around at that time but I'll go with it)

Universal Positions
Farmers (countryside people, not wealthy)
Merchents (city dwellers, midway on the wealth scale)
Artisans (wealthy to a point, specialty crafts)
Miscreants (cause trouble, don't follow the rules)
Wanderers (mysterious types, gets by on odd jobs but mostly male...ladies, we have to admit it wasn't safe for a woman wanderer back then anywhere in the world)
Fishermen (found at the coasts, excellent sailors)

Choose as many as apply 3nodding

As for a profile...if you really want to take on a historical person of the time, I recommend you check out the people of Samurai Warriors. If not, I'll use my character's profile as the criteria.

Name: Kyo Niwa
Age: 17
D.O.B: January 1, 1558
Position (s): Samurai; Wanderer
Blood Type: AB (good traits: calm, controlled, rational, sociable, popular & empathic/bad traits: aloof, critical, indecisive & unforgiving)
Appearance: User Image
~without the mask~
Bio: Kyo was born the only child of a fisherman and his wife on the island of Okinawa. His parents practiced Christianity like his grandparents before them. However, when a seige fell upon the island, every child was seized into slavery and his parents, along with several others, were crucified upon being revealed of their faith. Brought to the main island of Japan, Kyo was 5 when he was scattered with the other children to different clans. Though growing up wasn't easy, he continued to keep the Christian faith in secret and was able to learn as a samurai, creating his own technique. When he turned 15, the clan he served was dethroned of their power and he was free to do as he willed. First thing he did was return to Okinawa to see it reborn but he didn't feel welcome so he returned to the main island. He was offered dozens of times in the past 2 years to join numerous armies when it was revealed of his swordsmanship except he's refused every chance. He may be illiterate...but he's no fool. He wears an old, beat up cross that he found while visiting the crucifixion site of his parents. It remains hidden beneath his robes but during a duel, it was revealed and his opponent sliced a cross on his cheek so he would live in the pain of prejudice rather than die by their blade. He's currently wandering to Kyoto because he heard the slums were safe for outcasts and refugees.

His family was killed and few of the villagers remained. He wandered alone for days with blood still on his cloths and his thoughts filled with nothing but the horrers he had seen till he finally passed out from hunger. When he awoke his wounds had been treated and he found himself being cared for by a hermit which he had heard stories of in the village. He lived with the hermit for afew days watching him practice his martil arts. And once he recovered his strength he pleaded with the hermit to teach him the style he practiced. At first the hermit turned him away saying his art was not to passed down, but after several days he asked the boy why he wanted to learn the art so despritly. Shin simply replied that he wanted to prevent what happened to his villege from ever happening again. Reluctantly the hermit took him on as his apprentice, but never telling him the name of the art Shin was being taught. This art used no weapons but was as deadly as any sword, and in practicing this art Shin lost himself in it. He entered a transe like state where nothing existed but him and those who put out a fighting aura. He trained with the hermit for 11 years till he finally died. Shin layed his master to rest and continued to perfect his art for another year at which time he then set out to do what he had trained so hard to do, and has been wandering ever since.

((That seems to be about it. Lets see where things take us.))

((4 people is plenty for this to start so here goes))

Kyo kept his footsteps silent as he walked down the empty Kyoto streets in the very early hours of the morning. Street walkers stood in allies near street gangs and watched him carefully as he progressed down the street. He stopped outside a brothel and had a disgusted look in his eyes upon seeing the business. Drunkards stood drooling and howling like beasts. Kyo turned his attention to his original path and followed the street. Looking around, he realized he'd lost his way hours ago, trying to get to the market district for the morning rush.

Mika is standing not to far away, she is dressed as a normal Geisha, only her face is not painted. She looks around a bit, new to the area and not knowing where to go. She takes a step but jumps back quickly as a horse comes speeding down the street, her reflexes are odd for a Geisha, too sharp and too quick. She notices some people looking at her but brushes it off.

Kyo stopped and looked over like many of the others but he wasn't looking at the woman. The glint of one of her hair pins that had fallen to the ground caught his eye. Once the crowd started to disappate, he walked over and picked up the pin. "People should be more aware of those around them..." He held the pin over, his hand open to signify a non-aggressive greeting. There was a shredded bruise healing over in his hand, no doubt from handling a sword without gloves.

Shin was just entering the city and looking around in aw. It was his first time in a major city, so the sights were new to him. He had never seen so many people out side of a festival, but there they were on a day as normal as any other. The sights almost captivated him till his stomache started to growl agian. Rubbing his stomache he was forced to remember the fact that he haad not eaten in 5 days and he was going to die if he did not eat soon.

The smell of food wafted to his nose from across the street. His attention focused instatnly on the resturant across the way. He ran over there like a shot, paying no reguard for the horse and cart that almost ran him over if he was any slower. He bulted straight to the counter of the resturant and trying not to drull from hunger he cried out to the owner, "PLEASE MISTER CAN I HAVE SOME FOOD! I HAVEN'T EATEN IN DAYS!"

Kyo's attention was thrown from the woman's whose hairpin he was still holding to the new stranger begging for food. He raised an eyebrow. He figured this new person wasn't used to the city but he also figured anyone would know that isn't how things worked.

Mika looks at Kyo for a moment before she hears the new stranger. "Thank you. I really should pay more attention to who I run into, not everyone would have given this back to me."

Kyo looks back to the woman. "I make it a habit not to steal...your movements were quick. I applaud them. Broken bones would do you no justice."

"Broken bones would be of no use to me." She smiles at him, bowing her head slightly. "You have my thanks."

"It seems dangerous to wander these streets alone whether you bear weaponry or not. Perhaps we could escort each other to a parting destination..." Kyo's words seemed far too formal for a wandering samurai and most who tried to speak this way would want to convince a woman to give themself. However, there was nothing perverse in his voice...nothing that would lead the geisha to think otherwise.
