Life has taken a disasterous turn. This year at my high school.... there is no drama club! *Fellow performers gasp* I know! I was so disappointed when I heard about that... and now I'm reeally sad...
Has anyone else had something like this happen to them?

Is there any way to revive it? I mean, my school has never had a drama club...just those kids who feel the need to be in every after-school play and write letters to the principal and go to the drama boosters meeting...yeah, it's pretty much a club.
But get a band of thespian friends together and write protest letters. Get parents to as well. And English teachers. Wrte a letter to the local paper (to the Letters to the Editor thing).
Drama shall not die!

Yes, we never had a drama club. It makes me angry. The closest we have is a talent show... stare

Drama shall not die! It hasn't really died, it's just that it's not thought to be an (and I quote) "activity worthy of spending funds and time on for a small group" Argh.... It made me so mad....

That almost happened my Senior year of high school, because the advisor took a Sabaticol, but she decided to come back anyways and have drama club (We call it Spotlighters)
Well, needless to say, since she wasn't in the building, Spotlighters meeting were very sporadic, and it was almost impossible to get ahold of our advisor, so it wasn't a spectacularly fun year crying
I'm sorry that you don't have any drama club! Join a community theatre to supplement, perhaps? domokun

I've gotten too old for the kids program, and I'm not old enough for any of the theater troupes around here. It's so depressing! gonk

Oh! That was weird...I thought I was still on my Nintendo Guild. I was like, "what does that have to do with Nintendo? And why is everyone agreeing?"
Okay, but serriously. That sucks. Find some way to change it. Make your own Drama club, even if it isn't supported by the school. Proove to 'the man' that you're not going to back down!
