Look, this is really frustrating. Every single guild I am in has never thrown a fit about me posting links to my fanfiction before. The only way that the mods know anyway, is if it's reported. Why would someone report it when they joined this guild to see/read yaoi? When guilds get huge, it's a possibility yes, but the Naruto yaoi has over 300 members and they have no problem... and if you want to get technical, all of their pics are against the rules since the boys are under eighteen. And the link to the 14th Division on Y!Gal was really in no ways above 18. The site ALLOWS above 18 pics, unlike Deviantart, but so do lots of other sites! It wasn't a link to porn, so you really had no right to delete it... If this is the way it's going to be, I'll leave. That's just how it is. I understand following the rules, but not when you push them so damn much. I'd rather buy my own guild for Bleach yaoi and take a chance, so that people can have FUN. I've said my piece. stressed
(I own two guilds of my own, btw, Otogakure having 103 members and I've posted all of my fanfiction there, and never had a problem.)

That's nice. I own a guild and am Vice Captain of three. Miranko owns two.
All of the guilds we're both on have strict rules like this in order to keep the guild alive.
Maybe you didn't hear about one of the giant yaoi guilds that got caught for putting up stuff against the TOS and got dismantled?
It happens, dude. He obviously cares way more about his guild than you do about yours if you're willing to get yours shut down because of some stupid smut.
I think maybe you should leave if you have problems with the rules.

Just like something as popular as the Naruto guild is only 300. Hell, the YuGiOh yaoi guild that my girlfriend owns is over 800 members, and they've never once been warned. If it's a fan guild, it's a fan guild. What are we supposed to post if nothing at all? Like I said, the art site is an art site, and nothing is over 18 in the link I had for Y!gal, since if you're not signed in you can't see any of the above 18 stuff anyway. As for my fanfiction link, he should have asked me to post my profile on there maybe, and just tell people which fic it was. The ToS says do not DIRECTLY link to an above 18 pic or content. So a gallery, or a profile, is alright. So before you get on your hippocrit high horse Honou Kasai That's nice. I own a guild and am Vice Captain of three. re-read the ToS or shut the hell up. Yes the rules do say that but if people keep trying to bend them then they will get stricter and stricter until you basically cannot post anything that is age 10 or above. Look what happened to fanfiction.net, to many people kept breaking the rules and so the site made better ones. I eventually quit the site because there where so many restrictions. And they are a whole lot worse with banning then Gaia is. Have had plenty of friends caught in the act. And if you knew that you could post it in a profile then why not do it there and give a post here saying "Hey check out my profile for the link to this blah blah blah fanfiction? Don't yell at the captain for taking stuff off that goes against code. Or would that have been to much common sense thinking on your part? And please stop acting like a five year old or at least come up with better, and less vulgar, names when retaliating. It gets old when you hear the same stuff over and over and over again. Thank you ^_^

A very large number of the people on gaia are younger than 18. So when complaints are made about a guild on gaia the mods do all that they can to cover there asses in order to keep the site from being shut down. They don't really care if its a direct link or not. If you want to post 18+ stuff then go to the sites that allow it. Gaia is not the place for that.
Also... you should not be telling ANYONE in this guild to "shut the hell up" I may not be a mod in this guild but believe me I can get you banned

Look.. I'm not really sure on what happened here, but I understand why you're upset.
Yes, it's a yaoi guild, therefore, it should have yaoi in it, right? But we have to stick to the Gaia TOS or we risk getting in trouble. I'd rather be in a yaoi guild that discusses and shares soft-core boys love than have no yaoi guild at all.
Also, even though you ARE upset, I suggest you don't snap at other members. This goes to everyone else as well.

Okies. I snapped at you. I am willing to admit that.
I also happened to be in a bad mood when I wrote the post. (Yeah, yeah. I know. Yell at me if you want for being stupid. Whatever.)
But the point still stands that we all look stupid on the thread.
Yeah, I went back and read it later when I was calmer, and we seriously all look like a bunch of 5 year olds.
I'm sure there's a much calmer way to settle this. (Hey, I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong.)
Miranko is just very protective of his guild, and I'm over-protective of Miranko, hence me being bitchy.
It's not a matter of who's better than who and who knows the rules better, it basically boils down to respecting the authority of the one who runs the guild and letting them run it the way they want to.
If you don't like the way it's run, that's cool. Join another guild, just don't take it out on Miranko.
Gaia's a place that allows everyone to be pretty much happy, you just have to find the right place to look for that happiness.

Love, Miranko hasn't been on in general for a little bit. He's currently busy (or so I assume. We talk through Gaia mail and lot and he hasn't responded it a bit). He probably doesn't even know this thread exists at the moment. Please give him and this guild a chance. We're just starting out and working out kinks, including rules and limits.

While I did agree about the fanfiction, I cannot agree about the link to Y!Gal. It was in the same sense a profile, just like a profile to my fanfiction. Most of the characters I play and other play on the board are there, so I put it up mostly for that. So both of them could have been helped. He was alright to delete them, but he could have been more spicific on what I can post! That's all that this was about in the first place! I wanted to know what was allowed! I understand that he's busy, that's fine. I got jumped on by two people, and it pissed me off. I was only asking a question as well as stating my reasons for why I posted it in the first place. Stating that I owned two guilds was credibility for posting what I did without my worry. That's all. I'll stay until I at least get this sorted out. He was nice enough to me in the PM he sent me, so I wasn't upset at all until I got attacked for explaining why I posted what I did.

Alright. ^^ I'm glad to see we're all calming down now and I'm also glad to see that you've decided to stay, for a bit longer at least, Love. ^^
Along with the reasons Honou stated, I also think people may have gotten angry because though what you said wasn't offensive in any way, it did sort of come off as a little aggressive. ^^; At least it sort of did to me.
Like I said, we're still working out little rules and stuff. Once Miranko gets back online, I'll discuss some of the rules more thoroughly with him and we can straighten this all out. 3nodding
