Welcome to the Samhain Ball!
Please, before you post, enter a Mini-Profile about your RP character(s), detailing what they are wearing (this is a costume party, and not only should your character be dressed up, but so should your Avatar), who their date is, etc.
We will deign you all exactly ONE WEEK to post your profiles before we allow people to start posting.
If you did not post your profile within that time, and people have begun to RP the Ball itself, then you have missed your chance, and will have to wait until the next holiday...Winter Solstice (i.e., Christmas).

Alrighty...
Dates:
Kathrynn- Harry Potter must die.
Sarah- If he's there, I might do something brave for once in my life and go up to him!
Tanya- I'm going to dance with Jace, and that's final. No questions asked. Anyone try to stop me and it's detention.
Loraine- The frog prince, the anphibian heart-throb, non other than Mr Bojangles!

What it'll be like:
Kathrynn- I dunno...I like dressing up, I like dancing, I like eating, it's all good. I might end up being completly anti-social and just drink punch while standing against a wall...
Sarah- Umm...I won't know 'till I get there...but Pumkin Pasties always make for a great party, I have to admit!
Tanya- Should be a good time, if everyone behaves.
Loraine- Costume parties are what being a metamorphmagi is all about!
Costumes:
Kathrynn- Female peacock. A mid-calf legnth peasent style white skirt, white sandals, a white lacy tanktop and a white corset, a white masquerade mask with white peacock feathers coming out one side, fingerless white gloves, french braided hair with white ribbon braided in and a giant fake white peacock tail strapped around her waist by a white belt. Attached to the belt are two chords on either side, and when pulled makes the tail fan out. It's pretty cool.
Sarah- Batgirl. A fitted black zip up pleather hoody, a black t-shirt with a silver Batman symbol on it's front, a short black skirt (with shorts under, of course) black leggings, knee high black boots, her hair in loads of microscopic little braids, a black cloak and a black mask.
Tanya- A black widow spider. A long black Morthisha Adams like dress with a red spider web design from the waist down, long red gloves, red stelleto heel shoes, her glasses with red frames, her hair in a big wavey bun with red chopsticks and four black fake spider legs with little fake rubies on the tips of them on her back.
Loraine- Gypsy queen. A multi-coloured tiered calf legnth skirt with bells stitched into the hems, a flouncy purple and red swirl design bell sleeved shirt that laces up on the sleeves and collar, Birkenstocks, five golden bangles on each wrist, blonde ponytailed dreadlocks with wooden beads, an ankelet on each ankel with little golden bells and a gold dubloon necklace.

Deva attempted to walk gracefully down the stairs to the Great Hall, eyeing the teachers mingling outside the open doors, and the assortment of students already inside.
It seemed like the crowd was growing, as peopled walked past her.
Her heels clicked as she reached the bottom of the stairwell, and she walked swiftly to stand on the right side of the doors, awaiting the arrival of Kelly. She shifted, and tried to adjust her costume, that of Jessica Rabbit, smiling slightly at the music coming form inside, and the decorations lining the walls, of pumpkins, and bats.

Manis walked past the doors to the Great Hall, nodding amiably to Deva. He entered the fray inside, and automatically wormed his way through the crowd to he drinks table, wondering if the drinks would be spiked...
He ran a hand down his shirt to smooth it, a classic long sleeve with a skeleton print, coupled with pants and gloves in kind, as well as tie-ons to his Chuck Taylors, and a Masquerade mask done in black velvet and garnished with gems and tribal swirls cut from whale bone.

Kelly had no unusual problems with grace. She wasn't wearing heels, or even flats. Prefering to go barefoot for the sake of her costume. And she managed not to fall flat on her face! Yay!
She would have done a little dance were it not for the face she was worried her breasts might fall out. Kelly was right. She had taken a while to get ready, there was her hair to straiten, her nails and makeup done. And then getting the confidence to walk into a room full of people in not much more than a bra and skirt. She wished she could be going down with Tom and Tasmine. Tom would have given her the confidence, but he was apparently coming down later to make a 'big enterance' apparently.
She grinned slightly seeing Deva. "You look great..." She said reaching her, jangling as she walked over slightly faster than usual to match her heart. She was jangling due to the fact her legs were covered with bangles and her costume was covered in coins.
"Very sparkly..." She said smiling pushing a stray stand of hair from her face.

Beth - is considering dragging Felix around as she thinks no man would look at her twice.
Dorian - No one but will probably get legless and get off with someone.
Wynter - Would ask Manis but is unable to broach the subject because he actually likes the guy and then it makes him shy.
Views of the Ball:
Beth - I'm never going to get a date and yet again i'm going with a friend. Balls suck.
Dorian - hey a night when debauchery will be less looked down on, who's to complain?
Wynter - Anyone think Manis'll make out with me?
Costumes:
Beth - little red ridinghood - a gingham dress, a red cloak, white socks and black shoes.
Dorian - a chav - tracksuit bottoms, a hoodie, socks over his trousers, nike trainers and bling.
Wynter - a dark fairy - A black v-neck long-sleeved t-shirt and black skinny jeans with his converse and tattered black fairy wings.

Dorian pushed the straying strand of his fringe under his hood, this was probably the first time many people would see him un-made-up and with all his face visible in quite a while.
He looked like a right prat, which was really the point and his costume was designed for cheap laughs.
Well at least Wyn looks pretty, Dorian thought was his friend appered on the stair, they'd split because Dorian had said he'd meet Beth early and Wynter hadn't been ready.
"Hey" Wynter said walking over to Dorian. "Beth late?"
Wynter fiddled with his sleeves, he'd cut thumb holes through them because the less of his hands showing the better in his opinion.
"You look amazing by the way, proper chavvy, but watch you don't get beaten up for taking the piss,"
Wynter glanced around.
"Have you seen Manis around, I wanna talk to him soon as possible,"

Kathrynn entered the outside hall in a right fowl grump. Right at this moment, she didn't even want to attend. Her skirts swished and fwooshed around her legs, and the feathers of her fake tail swept the floor as she walked. Her arms were crossed over her corsette. As she made her way down the steps, the flip flops on Kathrynn's feet made loud slapping noises as they hit the stairs hard, then flipped back up to slap her feet. Over by the doors, those stormcloud grey eyes spotted Harry and Lavender, Harry dressed like Zorro, and Lavender like the Suger Plum Fairy. Under his black hat, Harry scowled slightly as Lavender clung on to his arm making kissy faces. Kathrynn made a quiet reching noise as she pointed to her mouth. Lifting up her feathers and spreading them behind her on the stair, Kathrynn took a seat on the bottom step.

Felix shuffled into the hall nervously, he hated things like this, lots of people lots of noise, supreme feeling of low self esteem and huge likelihood of getting vomed on later in the night. He was only here for Beth, she always wanted to go on here own but she never could pluck up the guts to ask anyone else.
His eyes made a familiar contact with his shoes as he strained to remember why he had agreed to this, why he hadn’t broken something to get out of it and why Beth wasn’t there yet.
