The Order's Change

I, Nomader, do seek to change the Order to the better for all of the Guilds that partake in its affairs. With the help of Prawl, I hope to adress the issues it currently faces.

PART ONE: INTRODUCTION

Section One
Introduction

The Order has been going through some troubled times recently, and I believe all of us can agree on that. Considering the last post on the front page was on the eleventh, over a week ago, I think it's time we begin to work on how to make this Guild useful, instead of sitting here in inactivivty.

This Guild could truly be a worthwhile thing - but, the only problem is, we aren't sure what it's supposed to be right now. Is it a battleground? A voting place? An international 'army'?

To have a successful Guild, we have to focus on what this Guild can do the most to help the Guilds that are joining it. And I hope to work to meet that goal with what I propose to do.

Section Two
The Goal of the Order

One of the main problems with the order is the fact that it has multiple purposes, many of which don't mesh well. A question many should ask, is what is the purpose of the Order?

You will recieve several different responses.

I have bolded those I find to be what this Guild should be, whether or not it is already.

- To ratify treaties, alliances, and partake in war with other Guilds, and to meet other Guilds to help the process.

- To be a battleground for war.

- To be the sight of a 'peace-keeping' force to moderate inter-Guild wars.

- To be a place to vote on inter-guild legislation

- To hold contests between Guilds.

- To be a place to make new friends, and be sociable with those from other Guilds.

The list could go on for quite some time - but how many things can one Guild the size of the Order be? At most, only two or three.

We as a Guild need to decide what we want. And I think once we all agree on its purpose, we can move forward in the right direction.

Therefore, I ask all of you - save the Order! Post in the direction you think we should be headed - if we can all agree, we can all strive to better the Guild for ourselves.

What do we want in our Guild?

Once we have agreed on ideals for our Guild, I will continue to work on its refurbishment, but without a central purpose, I cannot know what to do.
