Apparently, when I got back from New Orleans, I had really bad skin. So the lovely dermatologist decided that I should go on birth control pills, because they can control acne (hey, it was either that or Acutane, which would make me have to get blood tests every month).
My skin has cleared up, but the hormones are making me tres bitchy, achy, and emo...Almost like perpetual PMS. They also make me either nauseas (like, really nauseas, especially when I think about feet and soy products), pregnant-looking, or paranoid. Right now, they're actually making me what the veterinarians call "food aggressive." I think my stepdad might be stealing my soup right now. evil
Anyway, my skin looks better. But should I be paying this price for something so superficial?

Yeah. Birth controle pills pretty much trick your body into thinking it's pregnant.
After you've been on them for quite some time things should calm down or get better. I originally went on them for acne way back in the day. However now I'm on them for a much more satisfying reason ;D

i'm no longer on the pill that fixes the acne thing anymore. but i am still on birth control. the prescription i have, though, has a little more estrogen, which sucks cuz if i take it just a few hours away from when i regularly do, then my bipolar goes a little whacko... sweatdrop

That really sucks. I don't know if the time that I take it has anything to do with my moods. I never take it at the same time every day. ninja
