A while ago, when I still used to go to school dances, I requested "Just Like You" by Three Days Grace. And of course, the damn DJ didn't have it. Then a little while later songs like "Hot in Here" start playing. Then I asked the teachers why they didn't play more rock they said it wasn't appropriate. O_< Seriously! What the heck!?! A song about being yourself is unappropriate, but stripping, that's just fine. I wangt to break someone!!! >_<

I hate when school's are like that.
At my school's dances they do play some rock though. Not enough, but oh well.

Then he yelled "my bad my bad, wrong CD" once we heard it! what the hell is wrong with rock...pfft... I swear if that happened at my school the DJ wouldn't live unless he put Slipknot back one. To many of the "freaks" love them, there would be a ******** riot. The most rock they play at my school dances are to awesome classics, like Queen, Billy Joel, Meatloaf, etc.

Like, sure, they have some good songs, and Green Day was really good but has gone to mainsteam emo lately (especially with their new album, which has one or two good songs, I'll admit). But really, play the good music that people are freaking loyal to! Cause seriously, if you play a rock hit from the 80's people will know it, if you play an R&B hit, very few, if any, are going to know it. Rock fans are loyal. Damn, that turned into a good rant.

well at my school we're lucky if we hear any fall out boy songs, they're all pop and rap!!It sucks, and that's why i don't go to school dances

Yeah. But we've had some deejays that play rock. Screamo stuff. Its awesome. But hip hop and crap still over powers everything. ******** that.

Last year I ask David, who was the DJ at our school dance, if he add any Three Days Grace songs, he reply, "No, why would I put that on? The band sucks, deal with it I'm not playing it." *shrugs* Next time, I hope his not the DJ...
